Always admired the himmy. I prefer the classic looks of your model to the latest version. Looks good fun was had on a nice sunny ride out on the lanes. Nice to see you ride sensibly on the lanes and respect other users. Also good to hear a shout out for the TTR250. From the year I’m guessing yours is the white and purple? I have an ‘04 bluey that’s been sitting unused in my garage for a couple of years. My biking lately has been on tarmac with a tourer. After hearing you singing the praises of the TTR I’m inspired to recommission mine. Probably just an oil service and a carb service and it should be good to go.
Old memories stirred too by reference to your partners CG125. I had one of those back in the day. W plate ‘81 so no leccy start back then with just 6v. But amazing commuter that could give 120mpg! Good video. Looking forward to seeing more 👍

@PeterKitching Thanks for stopping by Peter!
I too prefer the 411Himalayan aesthetically, although the 450 is growing on me.
You're right, it's the white and purple version of the TTR, although mine had a tank from a TTR 600, that was fitted by a previous owner. I shot the bike on the first video on the channel if you want to take a look (there's a quick walk around at 5 minutes if you just want to see what she looked like).

Sometimes when you sell a bike you know it's the right choice and some are harder to let go. When I sold the TTR I was sure I wouldn't have any regrets, but I'd love to own one again at some stage. I really do miss it, especially at this time of year. If you've got a little time and money I say go for it! They're cracking little bikes. Let me know if you get it back on the road, I'd love to hear about it!
As for the little 125's, they're brilliant cheap motoring. You really can't go wrong!

@@TheHimalayanDiaries thanks for the link. I’ve just flitted over and watched it through. The bigger TTR600 fuel tank suits the look of the 250. I wasn’t aware that mod. Many long distance TTR250 owners have fitted the Honda XR600 tank. I might have a look into a tank swap if I decide to do some distance riding myself.
You’re putting out some nice easy going videos. Looking forward to seeing more. 👍

Luv the lanes in your neck of the woods, the're much more to my liking. In the North East, there is a lot of climbing and some of it is quite steep with ruts, rock.
    s and bed rock etc.
Don't worry about dropping the bike. They are tough things and are easy to straighten out when things get bent.
Luved the video and banter too
    Ride safe.
    Cheers
    Neil

Thanks for taking the time to comment Neil! I've never been far from home laning on the bike so this is pretty much the terrain I'm used to! No doubt I'd be in for a bit of a shock if I venture North!
      Ride safe!

      @ Thanks 🙏
You’d be fine. I prefer those sort of lanes where you are.
We have lots of hills and high places, so naturally there is a lot ascent and decent and a lot of this in on roughish tracks. It’s just another skill set that needs to be learnt. Don’t get me wrong, there is some less arduous stuff too, more suitable for the Himmy.

Hey! Glad to see you're still pumping out videos! My himalayan almost didn't start today because the battery was almost dead. Are you getting a trickle charger for winter?

Thanks for coming back! I'm embarrassed to say that I've already got a trickle charger, but didn't expect quite as big a gap before riding, so didn't connect it 🤦‍♂️

@@TheHimalayanDiaries Haha! Happens to the best of us! Have you hooked it up before? I'm not looking forward to messing with wires etc!

Yeah, I had it one last winter, just plug and play so nice and simple ☺️
