Remember when it was a single player game? I've had a blast playing SE and just yesterday I tried out the new DLC. Yeah, I wasn't prepared. Watching my shuttle and two little escort drones get ripped to shreds? It's been a bit since I had this much fun. Subbed and ♥'d
@@Myrkanth thank you!! And yes the game is an absolute blast! Before you had to create your own reason to play and this is still somewhat true but you can do so much more and end game content adds a lot :)
the next updates will make a bit more for encounters -missions - npc stations.... no mentions bout new protoblocks tho so hopes are low on that side but still might be in 2025
I'm currently doing my first economy only run (Cannot go mining for resources). The economy in my opinion is pretty lacking so far. Mainly in that I have been frustrated with just finding stations and getting the resources I need. I will say, most of my frustrations are likely from a lack of experience, as in not knowing that stations will not recharge your ship. To answer the question of why most don't use it, I typically don't use it because the station given to me is typically very far away from my spawn location, and by the time I reach one, I already have a base and mining operations that make it not useful.
@@jemcm123spy9 100% could have been implemented better, you can buy hydrogen from stations im unsure about power tho 🤔 I think so many people just completely avoid it and it’s not great but it’s really not that bad… also the data pads you buy at stations have gps cords to other stations or you can do delivery missions to find more :)
@@wedgedmouse5020 i feel you prototech hydrogen thrusters to use on those super massive cargo freighters.... ugh, keen software house.. please take me now...
I have almost 4.9k hours in SE, but even with the update single player survival is just really lackluster for some reason... Other survival games just do better with providing content; quests, bosses, while exploring, side things such as farming.. In SE, everything is or feels completely optional. There isn't really any immediate need to actually engage, or even incentive.. 90% of my hours are on servers which makes it a unique experience because the servers are the ones providing the content, but they need masive amounts of consorted effort to have a functioning server with functioning content. I really hope SE: 2 builds that incentive somehow and introduces new systems to make it engaging outside of just building the thing.
100 percent agree, I’ve been playing this game for years and no matter what they add it’ll Always be easiest to make a drill and mine stone to build a base or do anything none of the other ways to play have much incentive, that said I think the contact update helps this a lot even though the gameplay is more or less the same
I think that modding is where the game really shines, personally. They're not all perfect but getting a mod that completely changes how you approach survival can be interesting. Different resources. Different styles of progression. New survival elements. New combat encounters. If you need a challenge then you can get one.
The PE's are just on a spawn timer, like Unknown-Sigs, the trouble is the borked spawn checks, you'd have thought they've have taken more ideas from MES 🤷♂️🫣
@wedgedmouse5020 No worries, we dug into it when our server wasn't spawning them, it's tediously boring, but the short answer is that the spawn checks and faction ownerships are borked lmao

The prototech thruster works on planets and even though its less efficient on planets it is still better than the large hydrogen thruster.
It’s actually slightly weaker and takes up much more space.. in atmosphere at least
@wedgedmouse5020 sorry I had just misremembered.
@ no worries :)
It is still much stronger in space
I love the moment when he says "it has a chair"

Honestly I’m not super technical, all I know is sometimes there plentiful and other times they never show up lol
