Will end of Contract Employment concludes the Right of Employee under Maternity Benefit Act?!

Supreme Court in its land mark judgement in the case law of DR. KAVITA YADAV VS. THE SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE DEPARTMENT & ORS. concluded that the end of Contract of an employee doesn't demolish the right of employee under the Maternity Benefit Act provided the employee has completed the requirement to become eligible to consider as a beneficiary under Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.

During, induction programme, I heard that the correction & evaluation of llb written exam papers are computer based by scanning written the answer sheet. Is it true ? If yes, how can a computer understand what a student write on answer sheet and assume, if there is a diagram, how does the computer interpret it when scanned.
