This is not an addiction this is from trauma, as someone who regressed due to sexual abuse and a living through someone taking cover in a school after robbing a store and having a shoot out at my school, she is not addicted this is a way of coping this is trauma. @@Kikoyomi the wording is wrong. Age play is NOT age regression. DDLG/MDLG is NOT age regression. I've read about people with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) having what we call 'littles'. Those are alters (something like a different personality) that are children. It's different from age regression since it can't be controlled as well, but it's similar in a way that it's not harming anyone (unless that little alter is violent).

Often, addictions are rooted in trauma. Addressing that trauma is really the first step to kicking addictions. But when addictions are rooted in early childhood, it can be hard to pinpoint and identify, because there are just so many coping layers, both physical and mental, and more often then not, many are unconscious.

Exactly. I had extreme trauma as a child. I was sexually molested around 4 and then my biological mother was extremely violent. I'm also a very sensitive person so this was hell for me. As a result I slept with my baby blanket until around age 35, had issues with security. I also got into drugs heavily in my 20's to try and escape. Which only made it worse. I'm doing wonderful now. But I know it was the result of having an extremely dysfunctional childhood.

Especially from the "daddy" figure, his brain will become aroused by the same tasks he so used to doing in a sexual manner. If acting as a child is done in an innocent manner, it harms no one. But done in a sexual way can lead to trauma and desensitization towards pedophilia.

I understand wanting to regress. I was abused physically and sexually as a child so if you don't get a normal childhood it can cause you to dissociate and have different parts. I have one part who is little at least! I may have multiple parts who are under age but at least one who is a baby and one who is a toddler. I was sexually abused since I was 1 years old. You can never get all your life back but I do dress little and suck my thumb sometimes! It's a comfort thing for me!! I feel for her!! Stay safe and know youre lovable!! 💓
She is pretty much the deeper side of the little, its not an addiction, its just how she copes and deals with her little side. I think If she found a good Mummy or Daddy it would be the perfect fit for her long term.

This is actually a thing called age regression. It's usually rooted in trauma, and most people who age regress were forced to grow up too quickly.
I mean she’s happy and is probably one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
I love all the positive comments as someone who has been through trauma and also like to age regress (not at this degree) this is amazing to see the love.
You cant piss and shit yourself and call yourself happy. To have this kind of addiction or any addiction of any kind does not equate to being happy. Sure, it gets her by, by making her feel better at the moment, but no, there is no way that she is happy. She isn’t receiving any help, she isnt processing and properly dealing with whatever trauma she experienced. She is only inevitably going to become worse. What these shows dont show you is that these people do in fact become worse and end up becoming heavily depressed and suicidal because they arent receiving the mental help that they clearly need. This is not healthy and you arent helping by pretending that it is.
