Let me know when you use it, because I think the finish is one of the slickest things you'll have come across. and it gets slicker still after you've finished. Even an hour later feels slicker than when you just finished (which already feels incredibly slick).
Thank you darling! I've not tried a duff one of theirs yet - although I think Korrosol and Autowheel still out gun Iron Oxide, everything else they've got seems to be absolutely at the top of the game, which is nice and reliable!
To be fair you could fill your shelves with all their stuff it's very good. Not a fan of this V1,2, 3 nonsense but they do deliver on performance and ease of use.
@Izzy111R I can see your point, although I really like that they iterate on their products and don't rest on their laurels. I'd say all of the good brands who actually produce their products (or have their products produced to their formulations) do a lot of iteration. Koch Chemie do it too, but I don't think they're as blatant with it....and maybe they get the results better first time through more extensive product development. I prefer GTs method.
I always use a drying aid, I like the finish, ease of drying and the top of to the protection. I typically use either a QD or SiO2 spray sealant, which may or may not recommend such use. Not expecting best possible results vs dry application. Have avoided GT spray sealants due to over complicated application process, but would grab a bottle of this to use as you have.
Especially when it looks that good and lasts that long, right? That's my thoughts too. I've got a bunch of other sealants to use up before I buy more, but then I do I think I'll just got go with this. I wonder if the Infinity Wax Obsidian I've got will work when wet applied!
@simonmarsh5007 that's also good to know. I've not tried Yum as there's just so many products on the market, and professionally they are too expensive to use day to day, even though I'm part time doing this, I have to keep an eye on the financials. I'd definitely use their products if they were light years ahead of something else of course, then the cost is justified.
You're welcome darling! BSD is a bugger sometimes isn't it, but wet applied like this and it's a breeze... although I think this is even easier. I was amazed that there was no streaking even though I was using a big old twisted loop towel.
Finally got it and tried it as a drying aid. Well that was easy, pleasant and gives a lovely look. I've just tried Labo Preludio. superb product. I can see it eating through an LSP (I'm sure the SDS said sodium hydroxide), so I'll probably use GT Sigma as a regular top-up. Thanks for the recommendation
Great review, just ordered 5L , the shampoo and snow foam from GT site, excited to try this brand for the first time ! Love your down to earth sensible reviews, keep up the great work 👍
Hay Mr Llama 🦙 So after your review / test I ordered 5L of V3 and used today, firstly as drying aid and a second dry coat, fabulous results, no streaks wet or dry, slickness built up over an hour, very happy, great recommendation 👍❤️
God evening, Adrian. I have to say, i didnt expect those results, thats incredible! I have V2 and, honestly, i hate it, it always streaks for me and I'm really careful to use it as instructed, unlike others which are forgiving so, i wasn't likely to have a go at V3 but, may have to now. Interesting comment from one of the people below, siluting V2 with some DI water, i may try and salvage the V2 and not bin it.
There's been some really good discussion on this one hasn't there? That tip about diluting it, as well as someone else having used it neat but like I have here as a drying aid, hopefully means there's life in that old dog yet!
@decker0373 I've not done it so I'd follow the advice of those who have done it. I have definitely had people saying that wet applying V2, like I did with V3 here, has solved the streaking, so that must be diluting it too!
As I said on Facetube you've saved my v2 from the bin. V3 looks even better and now I'm thinking of giving V3 a go after my bottle runs out. Another interesting and useful video. Cherry's!
I have to say that I really didn't expect V3 to be this good, you know? My reaction when I was putting it on the van was completely genuine, I was really surprised - I don't think I've used that many products that are as slick.
@decker0373 I was the same, then tried it like a drying aid on a wet car as I'd seen the llama do it in another video. Game changer as far as sigma goes for me.
Recently tried DIY details ceramic gloss and wow was I impressed ! The hydrophobicity was ridiculously good and the gloss levels it provided was insane !!the downside to it was the price and that it also seem to attract the dirt quicker .subsequent washes later and using Sonax bsd it just didn’t have that bling that diy provides but I will probably save the diy for summer use..I’m definitely going to try some of this tho after this review
I find the biggest issue facing DIY in the UK is the cost due to all the import taxes (which are warranted), I guess it's the same that faces Bilt Hamber in the US. You'll definitely have a good time with the Sigma V3, I think it's actually the slickest feel product I've ever used.
@@SuperchargedLlama I’m tempted to go for the 5L although i should really sample it first at £15 …either way great channel and keep the content coming 👍👍
@littlelegs6532 I feel you there completely! I know it's better value at 5L, but it's worth trying smaller first I reckon, you may have a product that you prefer (because so much of it is personal taste). Thanks for the kind words on the channel - I wish it was bigger so more people could enjoy it!
That's awesome. Love the hat aswell mate. I'm gonna grab some to use in this way. Anything which gives good protection in a super easy way I'm all in for 🤟🤟
I'm with you there darling, something that's super easy but durable is what most people need isn't it - if it lasts 3 months with that ease, it's a winner in my book! I remember when Turtle Wax Flex Wax came out and everyone was really happy that there was a sealant you could use that way (in fact, it was easier to use that way from memory!) The hat is an absolute godsend in the summer, I've got a massive head and it's taken so long to find one that actually fits 😂
Those beads last as well, it was only really by month 4 that they dropped away (and the van is still absolutely crazy, but it's only done about 500 miles as my clients are all so local, and I don't do this full time).
After doing this, I don't think I would be as well! It did completely clog the towel up in terms of stopping it being absorbent, but it was fine after a wash!
@@keithblacknell957 A quick and dirty 10% to 20% depending on how steady your hand is. Works really well and no streaking (which can happen in the older version when it's neat). Also, works with any QD, so if you have any stick on the shelf, dilute them down and use as a drying aid. If you are pressed for time, you can leave it there. Will have reasonable gloss and hydrophobics.
I know what you mean - maybe they think they've got enough in their other products not to warrant it, but it's a useful product to have your arsenal isn't it. I particularly like Infinity Wax Synergy Boost for that task at the moment.
It's been a while since I've used the Gyeon Ceramic Derailer, but from memory it was lovely to apply and I got about 6 weeks from it over the summer months.

That one was a Detailers United one - I would say that you'd want to use your cheaper drying towels for this because they'll need washing after this in order to remove the product from it (same with any hydrophobic product btw). The best solution I've found is actually dunking the cloth in Rinseless afterwards, if you don't want to wash them straight away. But then, if course, you've got an absolutely sodden twisted loop drying towel and it would have easier to wash it in the machine.
A good review. I've tried V1 and V2 on my last 2 cars (black and very dark blue) and unfortunately, just couldn't get on with it. I've switched to Blue Collar 3 instead, which is so easy to use even in direct sun. It's a shame really, as I love GT products and I've been using them right from the outset.
Streaking in the sun is a real issue isn't it? I didn't see any of that in this wet application so if you fancied trying it again then I'd recommend that approach, but I can also see why you'd not try it, given you have a working solution.
Thank you darling! It's this towel amzn.to/3CqvtHK You'll have to wash it after doing this as it makes the towel hydrophobic as well, so it doesn't absorb anything the product has dried 🤣 but this is a nice cheap twisted loop towel and it stands up well to being washed.

Do it with a towel that you don't mind not using again until it's washed - it'll make it completely non absorbent afterwards, but that's to be expected I guess! Just wanted to mention it anyway.
Hi, I have v1,v2 & v3 on the shelf but never thought of using it as a drying aid. It looks really impressive. My only question is has it affected the hydrophobic quality of the drying towel you used?
It had up until it was washed, after that it was fine again (40 degrees, Malco Microfiber Refresh as the detergent). But it you hadn't washed it then it absolutely did prevent it from drying anything. So maybe I'd have been better with a couple of plush towels, but it was worth it for the ease to be honest.

If my car is alrady covered in ceramic coating, how often is recommended to use this type of product? Not sure it's advisable to use it once a week? Having multiple layers of this sealant over the ceramics doesn't sound too good, am I wrong?
This is a great question: definitely no need to do it weekly at all. I got 3 months from this being really impressive and it was only by month 4 that it has dropped back. Soooo if you used it once a quarter or something, that looks like it would be sufficient. On every couple of months if you really wanted I guess. There's nothing wrong with putting a topper over a ceramic, if anything it helps increase it's lifespan actually, although I've always gotten to the point when I then couldn't tell if it was the topper I was seeing the performance of, or the coating 🤔 Fortunately with this product it is, at least, not going to be hiding the hydrophobrics and clogging the coating as it's so good in it's own right.
Claimed being the operative word there. But it definitely can get 8 weeks and that's great from something so convenient, isn't it? Wouldn't use it on a black car in full sun though, where as I did with this and had no issues at all.
