Dennis from Geneva, Ohio. USA A little tip and trick to keep the birds away from the wood is to place a plastic owl in the area. Birds don't like owls. Keep up the good work and cheers friend.
I love your delivery rig ❤ The maneuverability of your set up is awesome 👍 I was going to suggest a tire step for your truck when you mentioned you wish you had a step when loading but I don't know if it'll work with the fenders you have over your drive wheels. Might be worth a look 🤷 Good video
When i was a kid we would play at my buddies farm. His dad would pay us .25 cents for every bird we shot in the barns. The birds were starlings which were a invasive species
That crane is an absolute game changer.. Have you tried putting up a plastic owl? We use them here for the birds.. a bunch of spikes will stop them from using the perch..
your doing a top class product you can hear it when you hit two of your logs together the sound tell a lot,,,,, yes the crane total game changer , once you have one you then realise how brilliant they are,,,,, i operated a firewoood factory processor excatley the same as yours brillliant piece of kit and like you we also had a smaller processor for the smaller log,,, . very impressive business model ,,, keep the videos coming,,,top job.
@@oakfarmfirewood The company that I worked for was based in Ireland. That's interesting hadn't seen many about alright...but I think there a very well designed processor...
The upper boom/tilt cylinder is stronger than the lower main cylinder, so when you are at the very limits of what the crane can handle you can gain a few more feet by using the upper boom/tilt "referring to the last delivery".
@@oakfarmfirewoodwhen you do like at the end of the video do the exact same thing, put the bag on the ground to relieve the weight a bit, use the telescope a foot or so, then you can toss it by and use the upper arm/cylinder.
A lifting frame for bulk bags would save you 400-500mm of hight easy ….would that be enough for getting into garages? I also recon it would be loads quicker than threading the strop

Great tip!
The crane has definitely changed your life I think. Its way faster than the crane. You've already got very fast with it. Great progress.
Thanks 👍
You got some splitting ahead of you to fill that drying shed. Time to get crackin'! 🙂
You got that right! Weather needs to brighten up
@@oakfarmfirewood Weather don't matter. Get it done :)

I’m going to make one in summer when I have time 👍🏼
@@oakfarmfirewood I thought same thing, and also make it so you could lift 2 bags at once to speed up loading your truck.

Put rubber snakes up in the rafters , that'll keep the birds away !!!
