we use a attachment on the crane that looks like a X. Crane hooked to the middle of the X and in every leg of the x is a small hook that the bags ears hang from. that and the remote would ease the need of climbing during loading atleast for you. Greets from Finland
Sales here in south Louisiana, USA doesn’t pick up until mid November. It’s usually around 80-85deg (around 29C) for the highs during October. Wishing you well and many deliveries.
I think your crane setup is perfect 👌🏼 bigger is more productive but only in bigger areas. Your truck & trailer really is the best option for delivery, Japanese are great for tiny machines for tight areas, we don’t all have massive countryside like USA 🇺🇸 I’m looking forward to next weeks Apple M4 MacBook announcements 🤤
Gotta love this time of year! Making tons of wood and tons going out. New timber in. Such a good feeling getting logs. Hope my supplier comes through soon.
Audio great, amazing the camera following u, Love the chatting while your doing loading/cutting/driving etc... A constant Q&A or a lot more would be great. Ill over load you with questions 😂😂😂😂😂 1. Massive holes in kiln , do you not think heat is escaping? Im thinking i perhaps could do with letting more air out... I love the chat as i do all the loading and cutting all day every day , dont need to see hear it when im resting 😂 but your content is great so i keep coming back, Keep the chatting going!! I met a lorry driver who delivered bags of sand he was able to use a strap with i think a hook onit , he was able to smack the crane down a tiny bit once bag landed and the strap would bounce free. Worth looking into he said 9/10 it works when u get good, He seemed to think it was a common hack, Any lorry drivers out there?
For loading your bags from the upper levels could you use longer straps and drape the loose end over the edge to where you could reach them from the ground. Pre-stage 6 straps once you are up there lower the bags down ,then restrap them with shorter strap to load the truck. If you have the overhead room in 2nd depot.
You get a remote operating hook.. bring as many straps as you need up top and stay up there till all bags are down.. great for unloading to. You'd be able to guide bag into place
A couple weeks ago I bought a 2018 unicarriers 40 with 1800hrs. I'm still getting use to it but it's proving to be very handy moving n stacking totes inside n outside.
Hi Archie, could you do a video, or include in a video, showing and explaining all your products, like the log nets (how much is in them? kindling, bulk bags, Barra bag (no idea what that is) I hate DPFs too 🤬
I think if you get a hopper that you could fill up to feed the cleaner at a steady rate would significantly speed up the bagging.. also because your on a smooth concrete surface if you had a bunch for flat moving carts you could simply roll the filled bag out of the way and start filling the next so could fill multiple bags without tying up the forklift.. just cause you asked for input.. but the way you are doing it now is way better then how i could do it..
How about a hook on the crane, and make som eyelets for the bags, so you can pick them up, Also you need at protection screen under that conveyer, so no one gets caught in it, when putting on new bags.. regards mr. Safetysally 😊
I thought I’d put this here instead of texting you as the comment is more useful here.. you can connect the DJI to your phone and you will know if it’s tracking you. Also you could ask it to track the forklift instead of you as it’s bigger might have more luck?
if you had a hOpper to dump into before the cleaner with a conveyer feeding the cleaner it would free up the forklift , also with picking up the bags using the crane a loop that sits above the bag might allow you to pick up using a hook on the end of the crane
Following instructions, it will not start the process until the vehicle is in natural. Then it revs itself up and I believe does something in the DPF itself
the bagging, i instantly throught about a contraption made out of steel rod, not to thick, two rods in a x shaped a little like a pyramid, each hook of the bag is attached to the ends of the rods, with the pyramid shape its a little elevated, have a hook on the crane without the snap safety or better yet, have a small grapple with a rotator if thats not to standard, that way when you stack the bags on the hook X its doesnt go flat down and when you pick up off the bag you can hook to the bag under it no problem. I dont know how well that goes over as text but you can then take it off the bags when delivering and stow it on the headache rack neatly on hooks for example. Would save you a ton of time and is fairly simple to make. But good crane setup non the less!
If you consider a new forklift, 11:50 look at a electric.. much cheaper to run than gas, and no noise and fumes.. I bought a toyota electric, newer going back, regards from Denmark
@@oakfarmfirewoodis that similar to a stère? I’m considering a similar setup but nervous about the hc33 and the trade off of a bigger crane considering cost and weight capacity for products

Nice! I would say we are 1/3 through our season, sales start in august and finish feb/march depending on weather
Saying that it’s not because it’s cold in august, just people getting ready

Totally agree!
Great video, you’re a man with a plan. Love watching all your videos from the great State of Maine, USA.🇺🇸👍

You know it! Very busy! Can’t beat seeing a wood truck in the yard 👌🏽
I don't think you can improve that much on what you do. You're pretty slick!

Google, Elebia aumatic hook... the fizz
Just looked it up! Looks great thanks
Good video, I like the new camera and mic set up👍
Yay, thank you!

I think height may be as issue especially at the top, some of the top bags I can touch the roof with my hand when I stand on them

Still 1000 times better than the Telehandler

I like the cart idea. Would be cheaper than a hopper

Hello there, good show we are moving firewood heavy also👍🇺🇸
See in a dpf warning do you not just drive for a while at high revs and it clears? Why do you sit stationary?
Following instructions, it will not start the process until the vehicle is in natural. Then it revs itself up and I believe does something in the DPF itself

👍👍👍
Regarding your remote, you should have hook that unlatches on your remote? Otherwise there wont be much of a benefit.
What do you guys sell your kindling for??.. here that size sells for 7 bucks each..
Yes £6 but they are going up to £7 after Xmas
So just curious what's your ratio of "burner fuel" consumption to amount of "logs" dried per batch😊
We are drying 30 cages and we use 2 ibcs of smaller kindling kind of waste. Then 3 ibc of bigger chunks per drying cycle
@@oakfarmfirewood awesome thanks... Just curious... Thinking about building one sometime in the near future and just curious on the #s...
What centrifugal fans and exhaust fans are you running on the kiln?
Just some high temp centrifugal fans on the top then a standard axel fan for the extracting the moisture
What did you use for the kiln they don't look like shipping containers more like refer trailers.
Insulated shipping containers
Reefer containers 👍🏼 from ATC containers
2nd depot shrinking fast. Do you think it will last you the winter.
It will last the Christmas/new year rush and a little more but that’s where the kiln comes into its own
If you consider a new forklift, 11:50 look at a electric.. much cheaper to run than gas, and no noise and fumes.. I bought a toyota electric, newer going back, regards from Denmark
Yes that’s what I’m looking at 👍🏼
Where is “Central London” for you? lol probably Caterham 😂 20:52
Beckenham that time
Have you ever put a bulk bag in the kiln?
No. Won’t have enough airflow
Did i miss an episode is there a reason you don’t seam to be using both kilns?
Will explain in a future video
Maybe you could put screener on the end of the processor saves a lot of movement waste
Could be a possibility yes
Are you only running the 1 kiln now?
I will start using both but it will take 1/2 time longer in time I think and I would like more fans inside
Hi it is tracking and the sound d is good
Can the Grafter , take the weight of six bags legally
Linde is a great brand
The app is DJI MIMO if you didn’t already know.
What does a full bag weigh
Max 200kg
