Great video, it's a shame that TH-cam does not like to promote China in a positive way so videos like this will simply not get recommended to a lot of people by algorithm. It would get so much more views if it's about Tokyo or something. Guess it's just the hard reality for the time being.

china still gets a boat load of tourists even though they will still get scammed and treated rudely. if you want to find travel videos about china there are plenty. at the end of the day china is a crazy place, if you want to go there you will. if you want a nice travel destination in asia there are far better choices.

Epic video. Just when I thought you guys are being slackers this video came out to slap me in the face, and I'll take it. Always thought this channel might be the most underrated thing in the world, it deserves so much more, you guys should do more marketing. Other channels had average contents and way more views and that is so not fair. This being said I'm surprised that Didi actually saw your video and made the initiatives to change because of you guys, impressive for both you guys and Didi. Cheers.

Holy shit guise. I was watching this video on my PS4 and I ccouldn't comment through there, so I turned on my PC just to type this comment. Lemme first start by saying that I am more of a Tokyo kinda guy. Not a weeb, but to me Tokyo is the most beautiful city.... Scratch that.... WAS the most beautiful city to me. Shanghai now takes that place. May be due to ignorance, that all I know about Shanghai is just that The Bund area, I just had no interest to learn more about Shanghai. I don't know if it's the way the video is shot, or your edits that made everything looks absolutely stunning, but dammit, now I want to go there for myself to see. I genuinely almost teared seeing how beautiful it is, and I was hoping that the video would never end. I just wanted to see more of it. Anyhows, I thank you for your efforts in making this awesome video and sharing a beautiful part of the world that I would not have ever discovered otherwise. Thank you.

From my 2014-2015 experience, I’d add to the list: Qibao old street, Thames town (subway + taxi reachable), Sheshan mount forest park, Science and technology museum (a bit retro but still fun), Redtown park (not sure if it’s still there, but it was awesome back then, modern art museum (Shanghai sculpture space) right next to it and outdoors sculptures and such), Bar Rogue and its skyline view, same for Vue Bar, all of the French concession streets, Shanghai marriage market (my fave), Zhongshan park and so so so much more.
Yongkanglu, my youth, Rest In Peace.
And let’s not forget only 8kuai McDonalds delivery fee at 4am after a night out.

All this content is well written, funny, and unique. Seems like the group is genuinely passionate about making these, and I can see a level of authenticity shine thru in the channel. I like all the different characters/people involved, it keeps each upload fresh. A breath of fresh air with the quality you're putting out, and a nice break from the formulaic click-bate, and egocentric videos I see on other TH-cam channels all the time.

Just found this and now I am homesick for Shanghai! Probably my favourite city in the world so far. Whenever I go to China Shanghai is my first and last stop. It has grown substantially since I lived there 20 (yikes!) years ago! Tai Kang Lu was still mainly dwellings with only a few stores & restaurants - Kommune, still great food four years ago, and a Tibetan store.

Really like the video, guys! I was a little nervous about Mamahuhu making a travel guide video, but it was a lot of fun :D. I think you could probably do a miniseries on Shanghai, then maybe other places in the future. Also, you could probably sell a travel book if you put one together. I haven't made it to Shanghai yet, and I'd be interested.

God I miss Shanghai, I haven't had chance to go back since 2012 while my parents have been back every year since. This makes me so nostalgic. I roller bladed through the bund as a kid and my dad literally has a picture of me sitting on the railing alone and crying because I was afraid of falling but he needed that perfect shot. I remember buying lanterns during new years at the yu gardens and then proudly walking on that bridge with my new lantern. Also, that bartender in the speak easy is hot.

Great video! As a Chinese, I've been to Shanghai four times, but every time I found something new and exotic. This city is like New York or Tokyo, where people come from all over the world. All kinds of culture and food melt into the city's spirit. I would say Shanghai is the most modern city in China. If you want to see the new face of China, come to Shanghai, you won't regret.
