- The ‘80s car you didn’t know you wanted. The 928S Euro might be living in the shadow of the 911, but it’s actually very cool in its own right and this particular one sounds absolutely amazing.

Euro muscle car!!...... I luv this 928....and mine!!!!.......best sounding V8!!!
May be the best sounding 928 I have heard! Great job. At ~ 20h work put in, I guess this wasn't a cheap install.
Thanks! Quality is never cheap, but we’ll worth the end results
Love the 928 ,I have one in the same year and colour in Nz👍😊
Sounds great.nice neat installation
Thanks!
So happy with your work Jake on this Euro!, excellent quality, workmanship, and Sound, if you want to upgrade your 928 and make it come alive, see Jake for your Exhaust needs!!
Sounds great. Regards from Germany.
Thanks!
Sounds great! Nice and smooth
Great craftsmanship. The car sounds terrific.
Great video and thanks for the detail and explanation.. Just bought a 82 928 and def like your work. Wish you were closer to NJ !
Awesome man. Love any mechanic that’s enthusiastic about working on a 928! Awesome welds by the way.
Thanks!
Awesome video 👍👍
Sounds great 👍
Nice Job Jake and very nice quality welding ✅
I have headers on mine with stainless exhaust etc
Certainly makes a difference for sure👍
Man I wish you were closer to me, that looks and sounds awesome, your welds are beautiful. Love it Jake, great job
Thanks! I’ve actually got someone shipping me a car in July haha.
14:21 ow yes!!! That sounds meaty!
Sounds even better in person, iPhone recordings only catch so much!
@@BaunPerformance If he had kept his foot in it, when he was coming through the trees, it would have sounded like the old IMSA GTO cars... Great work!! I also like the fact that you kept a cat on it. Living where I do, I have to remain emissions compliant. It's a pain.
@@bryanhallman8183 I use a GESI cat on everything I build. With modern cats you’re not giving up any sound or power to ditch the smell so it’s win win! It definitely has a great sound at full tilt, and he’s a IMSA fan so there’s a good chance this car will be in a spectator section at the races
Add me to the list!! Sounds perfect!
Sounds phenomenal! Great craftsmanship also by Baun Performance
Thank you!
I'm in love 💕
Nice, very nice.
Thanks!
Awesome, perfect compliment to 80s car! When you start making these let me know. I'm interested!
Thanks! I don’t know if I’ll ever offer these as a production part, as I’d need at least six people committed to buying them to justify the cost of building weld fixtures to do so.
There are + and ground battery terminals under the hood for jumping or trickle charging.
Sounds amazing, jake. But u already knew that 😂
Thanks! According to my wife it “sounds like a Corvette”
@@BaunPerformance hahahaha
Awesome exhaust!
Can you build one without cut for my porsche 928S from 1984?
If you can how much It costs with shipping to germany?
At this point I don’t have any plans to do development to allow building these to ship.
I’ve a ‘84 twin distributor 5 speed as well. I’m building somewhat of a Clubsport/RS car for mainly street use. I’d be interested in the exhaust setup minus the muffler. Arizona has no Db restrictions 😉
If you’re interested email me at jlbaun26@gmail.com
Did you ever fabricate one of these kits for shipment?!
No, I’d need to have several lined up to build to justify building weld fixtures to be able to produce them to ship.
If you could do one for a California car I would be interested. 1979 4.5 16v
I’d need to research differences, if I build a weld fixture it’ll be an exact copy of this system. I believe this is a 1985 928S Euro 4.7 16V, but I’m not up on these cars like the owner Lou.

Very nice workmanship - rare to see a manual 928. Just wondering why the owner didn't go for an X-pipe configuration and twin pipes? - would have freed up some more power.
The equal length Y & 3” is PLENTY for a stock or mild 928 and isn’t giving up any power at all.
Running duals & a X would’ve just cost a lot more.
@@BaunPerformance Thanks for the reply. I get your point concerning cost (and potential complexity & time) and the Y not giving up power, my question was on additional power (20/30 hp) gain with an X pipe setup, which is the commonly quoted number in the 928 world.
hi, is there a link to purchase this?
I haven’t moved forward with building weld fixtures to sell these. If I ever do, they’d be built to order with a lead time
Borla part number 40359 muffler
I would like to order 1 please 1983 928S
I haven’t built the weld fixtures to be able to produce more of these yet, as I’d need to sell more than just one more to justify the time/money building the weld fixtures.
Shoot me an email and we can discuss further, jlbaun26@gmail.com
2nd. Nooooooooo!
Cant win Em all!
