No chance I’m afraid. No ifs, no buts, Cowley must go. And I’m tempted to say Eisner should follow. Club is in the worst state it’s been in since administration.
You seemed to be choking Tom desperately trying to remain balanced in your reporting. Tough times for the pompey fans and yes I fear Saturday could well have four nil and some written all over it 😥
I’m not a Pompey fan but like and follow your channel, I just can’t believe how badly your season has turned after a great start to the season, All the best,
Really appreciate your kind words about the channel Jason, thanks for sticking around. We are just as surprised at the complete nosedive for us, as you can see it’s quiet a desperate situation. Hopefully something changes soon!
As a Charlton fan I feel your pain. We both have a fantastic club with amazing history. It kills me to see us both struggling. I wish us both the best for the rest of the season.
Really emotional watch at the end there. Pompey are my second team, through my dad, and I could see how upset you were. Well done on keeping it together as you trudged away in the rain. PUP and happy rest of the year.
Thanks for that Adam, it was a really tough video to put together yesterday. I’m glad we managed to convey the emotion of it, it’s a really tough watch at the moment. Appreciate your support on the channel.
Thanks for this Tom, I've had a miserable day both footballing wise and just personal wise, but the first 3 minutes instantly changed my mood. Legend! 🙏
I love him as a person, but this is it. I wanted it to work out but it hasn’t. When your own fans are singing “sacked in the morning” that’s when you know you’re time is up. Hopefully we can get a manager who can give us what we want especially games like Bolton, Barnsley, Plymouth and Peterborough that are coming up in January and February. PUP🔵⚪️🔵⚪️
Andrew is the calm voice of reason - hate to see you upset Tom and seriously hope things turn round for Pompey- keep up the good work mate we’re all passionate supporters and I hurts when things aren’t going well…. Keep the faith 👍
My first Pompey match was over 43 years ago in November 1979 Hartlepool at Fratton….I have never seen such a gutless performance as this ! Play for the shirt and badge and you will always get the backing but this was a disgrace . No closing down , no pace and no urgency! We are Pompey sort it out !!!
Love following power league fans like me. I'm a Charlton fan so I know the how an downs of football like Pompey fans. You got us on a rare good day. You will bounce back.
Great video as always Tom , I hate to see such a historic proud and incredibly well supported club like Pompey in this position , I think your thoughts Summed it up perfectly tbh . Great content as always 💪 💯
Thanks so much for that Gabriel, we are really feeling it at the moment and I’m glad that came across in the video. Thanks for sticking around, hope to bring you some more positive videos soon.
Tom and Andrew PLAY UP POMPEY, I am a West Ham Fan but have a lot of affection for Portsmouth. That is why I like your channel. West Ham God Help Us. PLAY UP POMPEY. Stayed at Gunwharf Quays over Christmas. EXCELLENT TOM AND ANDREW PLAY UP POMPEY.🙏✝️👏👌
Great video as always guys! I was at the rugby with my Gf and her family. I was sorry to see the score but not surprised. The Manager has to take much of the blame I'm afraid but so do the players. I constantly feel that the recent games are a soul-crushing slog to get through and that should never be the case. Why this is when on paper we have a decent (if not incredible team) I am not sure but radical change is needed and urgently.
Honestly love the fan interviews before the game keep it up tom👏 as for the football not looking good for your manager, at least u have a easy next game at spurs ;)
Now, I'm not much of a football fan, but I'd never seen scenes like what I saw at fratton park today, the boos could more than likely be able to be heard all over Hampshire
ok im not a Pompey fan but I Love your content Tom. I watched this game and then listened to the Post mortem afterwards on BBC Solent and Cowley's interview was one of a dead man walking, a beaten man, bereft off ideas and a man who sounds like he has given up. I knew the Ipswich game was a blip and Pompey played up to the occasion as they were expected to be beaten badly but today is a different story. Charlton have worse form than you going into this game and you can tell from your pre match interviews that this was a very winnable game, a must win game and your fans knew it. Cowley knew it too. If Pompey are to get out of this hole then a change in leadership seams to be the only answer IMO Sadly and the sooner it is done then the quicker you can turn this season around. You deserve much better... Good Luck from Suffolk and i look forward to more content as this drama unfolds...
I think your assessment of the situation externally is bang on. Things are really desperate for us, and as long as they stay as they are, I see it continuing. Thank you for your kind words about the channel, looking forward to bringing whatever comes next to you!
This is what is called " the rot setting in " don't want to see Danny gone but the pressure is well and truly on. As always guys great content, have a healthy and great 2023, pup
Watching the full game, Portsmouth were outclassed in all departments by Charlton. No excuses for Portsmouth. Player down or not. Portsmouth had plenty of time to play before the sending off but didn't - Even the statts didn't read true. Charlton had a better squad of players this time than at Oxford. Maybe Portsmouth underestimated Charlton after Oxford result and a niave team selection at that game. Excellent Video btw, The one to watch after Post match for Pompey fans, I watched the previous from the game at the Valley too. Keep up the good work.
Hello Tom and Dan from the Artillary arms, we are in serious trouble now! Cowley has to go now while theres still chance to save the season cause we could well end up in a relegation battle at this rate, theres just a lack of fight and will power from the squad. It has to be a manager change
Love the channel - keep up the great work in very trying circumsances, gents. Just going to echo what yourselves and many others have already said. Cowley is a really stand-up guy. He clearly loves football and he has bought into our city, our club and its ethos. I think so many people wanted this to work out, but you are right: there is no coming back from this. Individual mistakes happen from time to time - footballers are only human and at league 1 standard our expectations of them need to be realistic - but when mistakes keep happening over and over again it indicates either lack of professionalism/motivation, lack of confidence or poor coaching. Whatever conclusion you reach, all signs point to poor management. It does look like they've stopped believing in Cowley if not stopped playing for him. Cowley himself looks out of ideas - his triple change at half time was born out of desperation rather than tactical nous and it arguably made us worse. Players lacked any sort of cohesion on the pitch - lots of stray passes, badly timed or missed runs and this led to frustration between the players - a worrying sign. I also hate all the squinnying to the referee - something Cowley does all the time. It smacks of desperation. As do the constant aimless long balls. Our form is horrendous; the atmosphere is toxic. Cowley needs to go but I think he loves the job too much to fall on his sword, pride, however, always comes before a fall.
Play up Pompey....now as a west brom fan I know a thing or two about toxic atmospheres...1st 3mths this season under Bruce were horrific and I was convinced league one was calling...but a change has done wonders for us as I hope it will for you if/when it happens.
Thanks for your comment Jonathan, good news that fortune’s have turned around at WBA, it will be interesting what the next few days and weeks bring at Pompey. Best of luck for the rest of your season, it’s unlikely but hopefully we play each other soon!
@@Fournilwrittenalloverit well cowleys gone then...thoughts on who the new boss will be?...strange question for you...why did Pompey get rid of the floodlight pylons?.🤔
Charlton fan here, great channel. Despite the win for us it’s depressing both clubs are stuck in this division due to poor ownership and lack of funds, it’s about time the EFL flushed these crooks out.
You guys are some of the most positive fans and it's got to you too. There's something very wrong between the manager and team. With a good performance Charlton should've folded, they've been playing poorly and have a pretty new manager , it's a game we should win if there's anything worthwhile in the DC team. We have to find a new manager, the team try, but look lost and need a new direction to give them belief. I hope the Eisners do the right thing to salvage something this season.....
Early indications during the game suggested we really could have made something out of the game yesterday, then as soon as we conceded all our energy fell away as it usually does at the moment - which is a massive telling sign. Thanks for watching as always Nick.
Hi Tom & Andrew, I believe it is now time for a change of management & it’s time to cut some of the deadwood from the club. We can’t keep relying on the loan system to bail us out, Scarlett hasn’t scored a league goal since Peterborough which was our last home league win (3rd September) & thank goodness we got a win against Forest Green Rovers (22nd October) plus we can’t keep getting a good keeper who is 1 or 2 leagues above us. We were very blessed last season to have Gavin Bazunu who must have won us 15 points easy. So including Peterborough we have taken 16 points out of 48. All I say is thank goodness we a good start to the season!
Firstly Tom, Thank-you for taking the time to have a picture and a chat with me and my boy today, he is still buzzing now (In hindsight that was the only thing worth coming to fratton for today, should have gone home after 😅) I said it earlier before the game, since the Ipswich defeat we have been terrible bar glimpses from certain players (excluding the cup games where for some reason we seem to be able to grind results) the stats in the league speak for themselves Won 1 Drawn 7 Lost 4 I don’t know if a change of manager will fix the issues, but what I do know is we have a very light squad at the moment and relying on loan players is killing us, we are never progressing in that way We need investment into this squad badly! The only positive I take from today is that it wasn’t 5 or 6-1 because it easily could have been We got played off the pitch in every part today there seems to be an all round lack of knowing what to do or how to turn situations round and It’s just not good enough
Hahaha that is a real concern when the best part of the day is a picture of your son with me!! Thanks for sharing all of your analysis, it makes for a really interesting read as you’ve made some really important points. I’m amazed that you have managed to include some positives, but grateful that you have done nonetheless!
Same old time of year when Pompey go downhill. I listened to the match on the radio and it was not good what was being sung at the end. We've dropped to 12th and are 9 points from the relegation places. I can see us being dumped out of both the cups by Spurs and Bolton. Either Danny leaves on his own or he's gets the boot. It's getting worse as the season goes on.
Great content as usual, Tom, Andrew thank you for that 👌. I definitely agree with the wider opinions and I have actually considered my season ticket options already! Definitely can’t go on watching that every week.
Tom, a great video again I can really feel the pain in what you were saying after the game, been going since the early 90s I remember the crowd turning on Fenwick, Rix, Ball, Zajec, Perrin JUST TO NAME A FEW 😉 it's not great when is not going our way just got to keep the faith, he'll have to the end of the season minimum as the owners believe in him, be interesting when they next turn up...
I went away to pompy with mk before Xmas I still can’t believe you guys have kept the cowleys your to big a club to accept these results , like your channel though since that game you give honest review and chat
Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the videos since finding them, thanks for sticking around. The game between us was bad, but from our point of view, yesterday was a lot worse. Hope Dean continues to bring the wins for you!
Sad to say, I had expected Charlton would win this and so it proved. No team cohesion and the players looked lost and not working for each other. There are always excuses to use, but the players on the pitch should still have been good enough to win the game. Management skills were lacking and that seems to be the crux of the issue. Mr. Eisner needs to make the decision and tell Danny that it is time to go. We have a good enough name to attract a more professional manager, if the proper backing is given by the owner.
He must go now. What is the point of him being here for another transfer window, given his record so far? Our only hope of getting anything out of this season is getting someone else in with a different philosophy and giving them whatever money is available to spend. However my feeling is the Eisners will keep hold of him and use that as an excuse to spend no money whatsoever. The whole club needs sorting from the boardroom down. Supporters are being cheated at present, with Cullen spouting the company line of "but look at the stadium and it's easier to get a pie now." The old girl has been patched up at best and personally i would starve and piss in a bucket if we had a manager and team capable of getting us out of this league.
Wow! Really didn't expect that. Pretty bleak. Charlton have been rubbish ever since they tunnel jumped after we threw a 2 goal lead away in 4 mins of extra time. What did Cowley do to the team, which for spells played okay against Town, for it to get turned over few days later like this?
I wanted to keep the faith with Cowely, he seems like a lovely guy but that just cant cut it anymore. Hopefully we'll be able to pull it back sometime soon with or without him. At least on the plus side, Dale and Morrell played their hearts out even if Dale had a few slip ups. Hopefully its a better showing on Saturday
You may remember the conversation we had before Cheltenham away last season. I said that once DC had the summer 22 transfer window, it was his team, and if we weren't challenging the top 6 by December, he had to go. Would rather not have been right, but good guys don't always make good managers. Sadly, it's come to this, but he needs to go.
I'm not a Portsmouth fan but it's a shame to see a great club on the slide. I enjoy your videos and they are always balanced and insightful. I thought Andrew put across some excellent comments. A big thumbs up to you Tom and Andrew. Keep up the good work. Just out of interest, how was the name fournilwrittenalloverit originate?
Haven't left feeling soo low ...realy want Danny to succeed but even I'm running out of a defense for him and the players. He had a dig at the running of the club which was interesting. But yer it's a sad situation atm
Good work Tom as always. It was a horrible atmosphere yesterday, there didn't seem like any way back from that. For whatever reason we look a beaten team, compare that to the start of the season when we looked like potential challengers. I think it's best for a change now for everyone's sake. We said after MK Dons we couldn't have another performance like that and this was possibly worse. Some are saying that the players are not playing for the manager, well if that is the case they should be ashamed of themselves. I think it's more a case of the possession based system the Cowleys want us to play just not fitting the players we have. Raggett and Morrison are defenders and we are trying to make them play like a Beckenbauer. Equally important is that it doesn't fit with the crowd. The team need the crowd with them and slow build ups and multiple passes across the backline don't suit. We need passion to be displayed on the pitch, the biggest cheer yesterday came from Reeco's challenge and the subsequent scuffle. Sadly we need a change.
I think the sent off and an own goal indicated players not backed the Cowleys, seems players want change. I don't mind hire a new manager, but Eisner needs to think in a bigger plan, not just the manager itself, but also the structure of recruitment of coaches, academy players and players, that can help the manager easier to achieve goals. Otherwise, whoever manager replaces Cowley, it will just repeat like Jackett and Cowley eras again in long term.
It’s quite telling that even the younger fans at the start say we are going to go a goal down these days !. No positives really from today. Need to ensure we don’t drop any further down the table as I wouldn’t trust this team in any relegation battle.
Absolutely love it when self entitled pompey get humbled, long may it continue, I remember you at the start of the season Tom saying how much we will flop, Karmas a mistress ain't she 🤷♀️
I’ve resisted commenting until I’d slept on this one Tom. So far as the match itself was concerned, I still don’t understand why I team blessed with so much talent in wide areas can’t deliver half a dozen decent deliveries into the box (from open play) each 45 minutes. In real-time I thought Pack’s second yellow was harsh but watching the replays back, I understand why the referee gave it (it looks a lot less harsh). Many are talking about formations , tactical decisions blah blah. 40 years watching this game has taught me that football’s a simple game often over complicated by so called professionals. 442 is not and never has been our problem. If you put the ball in the right area often enough, you WILL win football matches. Hit the goal line, cut it back to between the six yard line and penalty spot. If defenders are running in facing their own goal then they can’t be tracking runners and it’s far easier for strikers to attack the ball. We aren’t asking nearly enough questions. I’ll talk systems when the side are doing the basics. At the back we have been a soft touch too often. Conceding from first meaningful attacks, giving the ball away too cheaply in deep areas. I feel the team are trying but everything your contractors are critical of in this video rings true with me. I will sign off with a rant though. I left FP yesterday very upsetand disappointed with a significant minority of our so called fan base. Going back over 20 years, for a while, we perennially fought relegation from the First Division (now Championship). We watched some proper garbage yet when we were losing the backing for the team went up a notch. Aside from Crystal Palace (penultimate home game 2000/01) I can’t remember Fratton Park turning on the squad or management like that. I understand that people pay their money and are entitled to voice these opinions but have some bloody dignity. I don’t know if it’s social media making people think they can say what they want behind the anonymity of a keyboard or the anonymity afforded by being part of a crowd but it felt very undignified. There were young kids round me shouting at Cowley that he was x@&£ useless. No doubt influenced by their knuckle dragging parents. I’m not saying we can’t express an opinion and that we don’t all love this club but I thought we had a bit more about us as a fanbase. No doubt I’ll get called a snowflake but then my kids aren’t the one’s whose parents grew up getting participation trophies at sports day and expecting instant results and gratification. On that note we’ve only lost 5 out of 22 league matches and we’ve said many times that momentum counts for a lot in sport. One result is all it needs. I don’t know how long Danny & Nicky are there for but we’ll make it worse if we’re not united as a club. PUP Heaven’s light our guide
I agree with with your comment about football being a simple game and overcomplicated by coaches. Why is it that clubs buy natural talent and flair and then employ someone to kill it off by making them stick to a routine. Imagine trying to repress Messi's huge talent. In any case situations change throughout a match and if the players are good enough they'll sort it out themselves.
Hi tom hope you had a good day even though we had to watch that poor performance. What's your thoughts on cowley out because I don't know who we might have?
How on earth anyone, and I mean, ANYONE, can defend Cowley or the owners is totally beyond me. No one is interested, the owners are not interested, the players are not interested, the fans are not interested. I’ve been going to Fratton for 46 years, and Cowley & The Eisners have destroyed my love affair with Pompey.
Exactly how I feel. I felt more positive than this when we nearly went out of existence. The Eisners are awful, they insisted they wanted to buy the club from the trust and it's now going backwards. The stadium work doesn't excuse that I'm afraid. I'm done with it, not wasting another second or another penny to watch a club that's just given up completely. Actually been enjoying non league football where there's people doing it for the love of it, probably where Pompey are headed at this rate anyway.
I think IF you have any trust remaining in the management you have to hope they’ve got a plan for the transfer window and what they need to change. With a (seemingly unlikely) decent run of games and making the most of games in hand we could be in a much better position quite quickly. Depends on you think Cowley can actually do that or not.
Seriously? Fair enough with the manager as it is just not working for him so maybe best for all parties to move on but what exactly have the owners done other than spend loads of money and pay high wages without looking for any publicity which is exactly what 99% of clubs would want. Your comment is surely a joke?
I know many people will disagree and I completely understand why, because these last few months have been far below the standards of this club. However, I think it’s only fair to give Cowleys the whole season and a proper injection of support through January. Ensure only players who want to play remain and give it a care free finish to the season. If we are nowhere then give a new manager an entire summer to create there impetus on the club and squad. Keep the faith
Pompey fans have always been hard to please and a lot have very short memories when it comes to football, but given recent performances it really does look to be time for change. As one reply states below, it seems that not only are we not going to be near the automatic promotion spots, ending up in the bottom half of the table or even being involved in a relegation scrap is looking increasingly likely. Eisner may not be providing the funding necessary for promotion (and you can argue whether his long term approach for achieving that is right or wrong, personally I think it's correct) but there's certainly enough money in the club to ensure we should be knocking on the door of a play-off spot. Team morale and performance looks poor and is getting worse and that's ultimately the manager's responsibility.
I’m actually gutted for you Tom. Thought you did well against us Thursday. Maybe it shows how poor we were. Really think cowley is ruining your club atm
I’m a Arsenal And Stevenage Fan an last season for Stevenage I just lost hope for the club and thinking they would be relegated but after Steve Evans came to the club he’s completely made me have hope for the club and it’s the same for arsenal me and my dad didn’t enjoy watching arsenal lose in the last 2 seasons but now it’s changed
It’s very clear the players are not playing for Cowley. He has lost the changing room completely & that can & should only end one way. Do the decent thing Danny.
Can definitely agree with Tom after the game that it’s certainly not been that bad of a reaction a group of players and manager ever. Would be surprised if cowley isn’t gone by bolton away in the cup
Happy New year Tom! 🎇 Sadly not so happy at Fratton!!… absolutely gutted at the result and the performance! No idea what is going behind the scenes for this lull in form. I think Danny and the players need to take a long hard look and also have a word with themselves. Since being second I’m the table earlier in the season we have progressively dropped off to now sit in the bottom half of the table!!!… absolutely depressing! Not quite sure where to go from here 😞🔵⚪️🔵
Not sure , it's hard to see the crowd return to backing Cowley .It's been a bit of a roller coaster under him with some really good performances when we have looked far better than third tier , but far too many where the team just hasn't performed and have looked not just bad , but clueless . Today was pretty much that , a bit of luck to get one back just on half time squandered , Marlon isolated , targeted and sent off - again - it was all too easy for Charlton today . I thought it was going wrong last year but they turned it around but it's looking just as bad now . Not heard the crowd like that since the days of Gregory and Fenwick .
Great content again as usual Tom. I can honestly say I have never felt so upset at Fratton Park after a poor performance as I did yesterday. There's no denying it, it was a very poor game of football from us and I'll be the first to admit the team performance was nowhere near the standard us fans expect to see, but the atmosphere towards the end of the game was so toxic. Where has that incredible support gone that we are known for? I can accept losing a game of football and no team will win every game, but I don't think I have ever heard Fratton Park so toxic. I have never been one to call for the manager's head but I'm afraid even I'll admit it's not looking good for him at the moment is it? I hope he gets a chance to do some business in the January transfer window and try and strengthen this squad and turn this around but who knows. There has to be some drastic changes and soon, that's for sure, but DC is treading on thin ice here now I feel. I really can't see us getting a result on Saturday at Spurs but if I'm being honest I really don't care about the FA Cup right now. Judging on recent performances we're not even likely to get to the final let alone win it, so I think if we lose on Saturday it will be a blessing. Let's just go out of it and then focus on the league and try and get our focus back on track. In fact I have just heard some breaking news on EFL Highlights show that Portsmouth have just parted company with the Cowleys which is rather sad. But I guess deep down I knew it was coming. I wish them both all the best for the future. It's just a shame it didn't quite work out for them here at Pompey. Great video Tom and happy new year to you and Andrew.
A number of fans crossed the line today imo. I'm all for making your feelings know about a bad performance, but singing for Danny's head and (worse still) making fk off gestures to him as he came round to applaud the supporters is not on. He's a good guy and works hard, but things have clearly gone wrong and none of the ideas have worked.
Not a fan of any of the abuse directed at Danny, and I think although some of it may be out of frustration of how things are it is never the right thing to get personal with your stick for the manager. Thanks for watching.
As a Charlton fan I really hope there's drastic changes at Portsmouth that get the club back on track. We are absolutely dreadful, so I would be very concerned as a Portsmouth fan. Here's to next season when we both get promoted!!
Abysmal performance. Sean Raggett is literally passing to thin air. There's no real gameplan. No ambition. 442 clearly doesn't work and yet he sticks to it. Almost a fully fit squad as well. There really is no excuse. I like him better than Kenny Jackett but seriously Kenny didn't have a spell of form this bad. Any other club and Danny would have been sacked weeks ago. That's why Sunderland, Ipswich etc are doing well. We stick with failing managers. They sack managers even when Sunderland were third they sacked their manager now they're top five in the champ. He has to go.
Great video Tom and Andrew Danny cowley I really want him to stay I really like him as I like the kind of football he plays but something needs to change if he is to stay Hope you stay well in 2023 Tom and Andrew
i was a manager of kids and senior players pompey dont look like a team they dont look organised headless chickens just running around how many goals come from one man in defence but he keeps playing
as a charlton fan we are both going through bad times I think you will not get play offs we will finish just outside relegation zone a leat we both got one big day out before end off season you at spurs us at Man Utd & we are back at needing the owner sandgaard out no investment just talk
Always appreciate your Pompey posts (and your Ipswich mate’s). Both clubs fans always put a good shift in at Home Park. But (And I’m so sorry about this. What’s it like to be the worst club on the south coast?💚💚💚
Its been a long time coming..but at least now more of you "rose tinted spectacle" supporters are starting to see the "cracks" in the Cowley playbook. No natural leader, an on loan goalkeeper who is quite frankly NOT Div 1 standard. A rickety defence that cant defend. A mid field that cant pass to a blue shirt, and an attack that cant score goals. What do you expect, honestly? These are Cowley's signings, and even some of them are only on loan. Mr Eisner said he wanted "steady progress" up the Division, culminating in a promotion to Div 1. This team is more likely to end up back in Div 2 ..long before they ever sniff promotion. We are sliding down a long slope, and we need a steady hand to stop this slide. The change has to be made NOW...before the rot really sets in.
The game was slow and although cowley should be working on things like this, they just can’t seem to win or get goals. That was a silly foul from pack. And although they was falling over and diving everywhere we should keep playing the game and get goals. This is not a good way to start of the new year and if we keep this up we are going to be in the relegation zone. We need to be winning against teams like charlton and Exeter and all of them teams. We played really well against Ipswich and we drew and scored two goals against the 2nd team in the league. So why can’t we win against charlton and all that. Poor game need to be doing better. Anyway thank you for the amazing video as always.
Thank you for your kind words about the channel Greta, I agree, the level of inconsistency and the severe lack of goals has made us easy to beat. Appreciate your support.
Not surprised the Cowleys have gone now. I liked what they were doing but we are trying to get promoted not train kids for the future. The next managerial appointment will be interesting.
Is there any coming back from today?
If we keep him, then no. If we get a new manager, who knows
Terrible performance the manager has no clue.
No chance I’m afraid. No ifs, no buts, Cowley must go. And I’m tempted to say Eisner should follow. Club is in the worst state it’s been in since administration.
He’s lost the dressing room imo not a win in 9 in the league run out of ideas can’t see any coming back he’s got to walk
You seemed to be choking Tom desperately trying to remain balanced in your reporting. Tough times for the pompey fans and yes I fear Saturday could well have four nil and some written all over it 😥
I’m not a Pompey fan but like and follow your channel, I just can’t believe how badly your season has turned after a great start to the season,
All the best,
Really appreciate your kind words about the channel Jason, thanks for sticking around.
Legend! 🙏
Ahh that’s great to hear Dylan, glad the video cheered you up. Hopefully some more positive content coming soon!
I love him as a person, but this is it. I wanted it to work out but it hasn’t. When your own fans are singing “sacked in the morning” that’s when you know you’re time is up. Andrew is the calm voice of reason - hate to see you upset Tom and seriously hope things turn round for Pompey- keep up the good work mate we’re all passionate supporters and I hurts when things aren’t going well…. Keep the faith 👍
Unlucky Pompey, you actually managed to make Charlton look like an actual team. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
Excellent passionate video mate! See you in a few weeks 😎
Another great video, just think onwards and upwards!
We have gone backwards since Kev the kitman and Barry Harris left
Love following power league fans like me. I'm a Charlton fan so I know the how an downs of football like Pompey fans. You got us on a rare good day. You will bounce back.
Hi I’m a Charlton fan and I went to that game and I really love fratton park’s atmospheric
Love watching this episode every season as a Charlton fan 😊👍
Not surprised JJ
It’s quite a record you guys have at FP in the 21st Century.
Best wishes to another club who don’t belong down here
Great video as always Tom , I hate to see such a historic proud and incredibly well supported club like Pompey in this position , I think your thoughts Summed it up perfectly tbh .
This was the one that did it for me. I really like Danny and I'm gutted it hasn't worked out here for him, but it's got to happen.
Happy new year up the C.A.F.C🤣🇺🇲🇬🇧
Remember the fenwick era, was similar atmosphere
Now, I'm not much of a football fan, but I'd never seen scenes like what I saw at fratton park today, the boos could more than likely be able to be heard all over Hampshire
Ref was absolutely shocking
ok im not a Pompey fan but I Love your content Tom.
Good review from a pompey perspective. Good luck getting cowley out and good luck with the rest of the season. From charlton
Much appreciated, best of luck for the rest of your season too!
This is what is called " the rot setting in " don't want to see Danny gone but the pressure is well and truly on.
As always guys great content, have a healthy and great 2023, pup
Thank you for your kind words Colin, pressure is on indeed!
Keep ya chin up mate 😀
@@Fournilwrittenalloverit well done for You're video today Tom and Andrew happy new year to you both
Portsmouth v Ipswich last year crowd was like that. Glad for your lots sake you got them out.
Did you say you’re doing a podcast too (maybe I misunderstood that 😂)? If so, where can I find it?
Stay strong chaps im sure things will get better for Portsmouth you are a big club in this league stay positive chaps.
Glenn an Ipswich fan
Sums it up nicely!
Bro said it would be 3-1 and he was right lol
Charlton fan here, great channel. Despite the win for us it’s depressing both clubs are stuck in this division due to poor ownership and lack of funds, it’s about time the EFL flushed these crooks out.
Never thought Darren Moore would out-manage Cowley.
Gutted there are no words Tom except we fight on!
We fight on we want our club back
Thanks for your support as always Rebecca.
Firstly Tom, Thank-you for taking the time to have a picture and a chat with me and my boy today, he is still buzzing now (In hindsight that was the only thing worth coming to fratton for today, should have gone home after 😅)
I said it earlier before the game, since the Ipswich defeat we have been terrible bar glimpses from certain players (excluding the cup games where for some reason we seem to be able to grind results) the stats in the league speak for themselves
Won 1
Drawn 7
Lost 4
I don’t know if a change of manager will fix the issues, but what I do know is we have a very light squad at the moment and relying on loan players is killing us, we are never progressing in that way
We need investment into this squad badly!
The only positive I take from today is that it wasn’t 5 or 6-1 because it easily could have been
We got played off the pitch in every part today there seems to be an all round lack of knowing what to do or how to turn situations round and It’s just not good enough
Hahaha that is a real concern when the best part of the day is a picture of your son with me!! Thanks for sharing all of your analysis, it makes for a really interesting read as you’ve made some really important points. I’m amazed that you have managed to include some positives, but grateful that you have done nonetheless!
@Fournilwrittenalloverit - Happy NEW year 2023 to you tom & Andrew !!!
Try Worthing, you will certainly get entertainment
Thank you for your kind words, I think we are all feeling a similar sort of way.
@@Fournilwrittenalloverit I’m a regular Worthing watcher and believe me it’s so much more entertaining than going to Fratton.
Tom and Andrew PLAY UP POMPEY, Well Presented 🙏
Cowley has to go. It's absolutely ridiculous that he is still here.
Another fine vlog Tom and Andrew.
Had the flu so missed Ipswich and today. Every cloud has a silver lining as they say!
Wish we’d swapped places Barry!
We just played better well played Pompey
Haven't left feeling soo low ...realy want Danny to succeed but even I'm running out of a defense for him and the players. He had a dig at the running of the club which was interesting. But yer it's a sad situation atm
I reckon spurs will trust there under 10s to get them through at the weekend.
Sadly true 😢.
well said tom agree with everything you said there no coming back from that, danny’s gotta go
Thanks for your comment Jamie.
They've seen it happen too many times now Matty!
Hope you can turn your season around, sad to see you struggling again😕
Thanks mate, hope you’re well!
I'm a Portsmouth fan we need to get Danny Cowley and Nicky Cowley out of our club
Eisners need to sell up, taking us nowhere after 5 years.
Cowley In..
Well, it's truly upsetting to see such a wonderful start to the season fade away halfway through. Something has to change
After putting in a decent performance against Ipswich I honestly expected Pompey to turn the corner and win today. Long way back now.
Hillsborough makes this ground look very silly!

Also to add on pack shouldnt of got that second yellow there were more worse challenges that did not get one
Great vlog Tom and this is a bad sign when the fans turn like this .
Do u think.u need to make more signings to help ?
Thanks for sticking around on the channel Richard, I think most would say it is a case of needing a managerial change than more signings in January.
@Fournilwrittenalloverit that ok Tom
Ya seeing how bad it was it looks bad for Danny and u think a new manager might be the way forward?
It’s horrible to see our club how it is right now.
Class channel
Thank you!
Happy New year Tom! 🎇
Sadly not so happy at Fratton!!… absolutely gutted at the result and the performance!
Exeter fan owned club higher than us with a billionaire owner clown ley out
COME IN MR COWLEY...YOUR TIME IS UP.!!!!!!!!!
Great video Tom and Andrew
Danny cowley I really want him to stay I really like him as I like the kind of football he plays but something needs to change if he is to stay
Hope you stay well in 2023 Tom and Andrew
i was a manager of kids and senior players pompey dont look like a team they dont look organised headless chickens just running around how many goals come from one man in defence but he keeps playing
as a charlton fan we are both going through bad times I think you will not get play offs we will finish just outside relegation zone a leat we both got one big day out before end off season you at spurs us at Man Utd & we are back at needing the owner sandgaard out no investment just talk
Always appreciate your Pompey posts (and your Ipswich mate’s). Both clubs fans always put a good shift in at Home Park. But (And I’m so sorry about this. What’s it like to be the worst club on the south coast?💚💚💚
Sad times.
One word god help us against Tottenham in cup, change needed urgently, bigger budget needed for promotion in future, happy 2023 keep the faith
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Gary. It definitely couldn’t have been a worse start to the year, so the only way is up!
Our owners sacked jacket, say it all
The game was slow and although cowley should be working on things like this, they just can’t seem to win or get goals.
You can borrow some of our wins if you like (want them back at the end of the season mind )
Chin up Tom.. the only way is up 💚💚
Hahaha thanks for that Steve, that has put a little bit of a smile on my face.
