Don’t feel bad at all. I woke up at 10am Sunday and found out about the sale 30 minutes after. I ran to target as fast I could and there was the 3 still in stock that had been there for a while… I couldn’t even find it on their website or app so I asked the employee and he said yeah they have them still… takes him 10 minutes to come back and tells me that someone had bought them as soon as he walked up to them, he for sure told another worker and bought them for themselves
@@evojumpman8806 dang thats rough. I went to 2 stores today just in case their online inventory either wasn't up to date or was separate from their in-store system but no dice. Hopefully it goes for 40% somewhere else before the end of the year and people that bought them now will look dumb.
There is alot of package marketing around the Mercedes Technics sets in the UK along with other F1 sets and Iwould guess that could be a decission to go over speed champions, advertising towards kids buidling a smaller similar style kit alongside their parents bigger kit.

i am so exited to see what happens to that aweful hulkbuster in 5 or 10 years. i know NOBODY who think this set is good or is buying it for investment so the demand should be very low in future, but who wants to pay 700 800 or even 1000 for that :D

They have a speed champions similar version w12 of that technic set w14. And a more advanced bigger technic version of the w14. That smaller technic set is pretty small and basic compared to some of the other technic cars. No mechanisms other than 1 spring coil pull back motor. The ford has 2 because of its weight and size.
LEGO needs to fire their R&D department, if you ask me. Everyone knew that goat on PAB would be popular and yet it sold out in a day. LEGO seems clueless about what fans really want

It would've LITERALLY say speed champions if it was.
