Sehr selten, wie das Wikingerdorf,lohnt es sich da was zu kaufen. ALLE Klemmbausteinhersteller zeigen besser wie es geht. und grade Ideas-sets sind ein Armutszeugnis.

It's also a region thing. Hocus Pocus is not doing well here in Europe at least in France, neither is the Viking village, but insects will grow, for sure, so unique ! JAWS is kinda for older people so that's the wild card for me here in France.

Jim, what is the website that you are refering to when showing the diagram of the high and low prices a LEGO set sells ? As far as I can understand it is something like camel3x ?

The jaws set and insect set, while unique, but I don't think will go big, I see some of the older retire village sets, but think it might hit 10-15 over retail, but not big gains. but getting a couple of them will pay off, However the Sanderson Sisters house, if you had $5000 to burn on a long term investment, I'd get the 21 Hocus Pocus sets. Definitely going to pay off, If you can get the Viking set for $100, I'd get as many as you could walk away with though, Expect that to go to near $200 on retire,

02:12 Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge Jaws fan. It’s one of my desert island films (like desert island discs-top films you would take to a desert island) but not a fan of the set. I think the original idea was better than the set, and the shark sucks. I built a much bigger and better shark using a load of the 3in1 shark sets. Much cheaper than getting the set- I’m not really into minifigure scale stuff aside from the odd UCS build.

I love the insect set. I feel like the botanicals buyers is the prime market for these.

most sets are selling well below msrp even 2 years after retirement on all platforms except amazon. too many people hoarding sealed sets in their closet. btw, even looking at prices of sold items on ebay can be deceiving. just because someone else managed to sell a set at a particular price doesn’t mean there are enough buyers for YOU to sell at that price.

I have the insect collection in my personal collection. It was a fun build with my kids (one insect for each of us)!

The Jaws set will be a winner. The Sanderson house if you can get at least 30% off. Insect collection I just do not know, insects? Viking village I already bought 5 when I saw it for 30% off, 2000 pieces for 90 smackers, I am in.

The twilight house was a quality design, it looked classy. You might not have been in any way interested in Twilight but that house looked quality. Lego took an almost perfect design and after two years hard work gave us a tiny off looking shed, they well and truly Legoed that great design. I cannot work it out, how do you take a great design and two years and create a total piece of poo. All they had to do was do the design people voted for, no changes, just take the original design and make it a set.

So for some of these sets, does bricklink not show the most accurate price for reselling? I am not a reseller but I do have sealed retired sets that I bought strictly to sell at some point. I noticed the Batmobile you mentioned here does not look to be that much on Bricklink. Just curious. Thanks.

The fighter tank is still selling for 40, sometimes even less, euros on Amazon more than one year after retirement! And it never really went on sale below 35€ when it was on stock. What?! I still can’t explain this phenomena.

This is why lego needs to do reissues, i cant ever get any cool sets i want because dorks who jack the prices as soon as its not available in retail, and half the ones in retail get bought to later be sold for insane prices. Scalpers need to fircking stop

From an exclusives perspective, what are your thoughts on investing into the Bricklink Designer program offerings? The limited quantity, even though they bumped it from 10,000 to 30,000 would seem to me like a fantastic driver of long-term appreciation and demand with the sets that are in timeless themes. But what are your opinions? Would honestly love to see a full video about it.

You cant compare amazon prices to actual prices. Amazon inflates retired sets. That tie fighter is a $190 dollar set SIB.

As someone who has been with Star Trek since '66, I would rather see the Klingon ship released being either the D7 or the K't'inga variant from ST:TMP instead of the Bird of Prey.

I love that theme together with the dioramas and helmets.

I could imagine the Gotham City doing similar to the world map and I did see it for 200€ here at the end of last year hoping we see that 30% sale again later this year.
