I have one of their long-run Gen3/c (Green) cables running from the pre/pro, through the walls, to my JVC NZ7. We never had any issues. These newer ones with the replaceable connectors are pretty sweet.

When I used to turn on the bedroom TV in the mornings, I could hear the signal going to the sound bar even before the soundbar came on. A entry-level shielded HDMI cable lowered the background signal noise by up to 80% However, it was only when I chose fibre optic HDMI cable, which is immune high frequency noise, did it finally become totally transparent.
After that experience, I went ahead and changed all of my entry-level shielded HDMI cables for the more expensive fibre optic hybrid cables. I didn't notice any difference in picture quality, but I did notice how the room became ever so slightly quieter (bear in mind the rest of my cables are shielded)

Upgradeable cable good for the customer.
Changing the connector telling you that they couldn't make it backwards compatible. Now you have to buy a whole new set good for the company.
    STOP SELLING PROMISES 😊

9:18 - these cables transform electric signals to light - hence they're called active optical HDMI cables. there's no electric signal running along the fibers, _just light_, so there's no shielding, as there's no need for any.

I have the Gen3/c. 15M. Doesn't work well at that length. Glad I ran a secondary cable.

Bro, those plugs are huge, big long plugs that stick out that far act like a lever, I've learned that lesson the hard way, if accidently knocked, pushed down or lent on, it can damage the female socket on your expensive components.
I do kind of like this idea, although I haven't tried fiber optic hdmi cables, myself, I would definitely prefer smaller plugs, built well, with metal casings.

an HDMI "L" adapter, or a pigtail would solve the issue.

Is this for long runs I guess? For me in my home theater this is a solution without a problem.

Yeah, the shortest they make is 6ft. But I love them. After sitting with them all night there are some notable differences in everyday hdmi cables

Just wait till you see the gaming advantage… 8K under 70” eliminates the ability for the human eye to experience pixel shift… something that requires 4K to ran at 480hz… So, 8k at 120hz, is basically a perfect screen image for the human eye; under 70”.

The dumbest idea ever🤦‍♂️!! I am waiting for the release of the standard hdmi 2.2 cables to upgrade from my hdmi 2.1 cables on my mini pc, xbox one x, blu-ray dvd player and spectrum cable box to my new Hisense - 43" Class A7 Series LED 4K UHD HDR WCG Smart Google TV (2024)!
