Thank you for such a lovely comment!
I agree 💯❤😊
Kedah is an underrated state but full of surprises ❤
Fun fact,
Europeans found 20 pieces of tuyere in France 🇫🇷, a tuyere is basically a nozzle assembly that forces hot air into the furnace to increase/maintain the heat required to smelt in iron making. But there were 2 million tuyeres found in Sungai Batu. Talk about archeological hidden gem eh? Haha
Amazing fun fact.
Not 2 millions, it's 1000. 998 is still intact....where did you get your info, so wrong....
Nusantara was once a world superpower back then. Now, it's just a history and all the ancient findings are proof of it.
We dont call places in Malaysia as provinces (i notice indonesia calls their places provinsi) , rather, as states. Each state has its own sultan, and these states make for the Federation of the Malay Lands or Persekutuan Tanah Melayu. Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, Pahang n Terengganu r the seats of the Malay heritage n culture. Alas, Malaysian tourism typically points to the Hindu Batu Cave, chinese street food such as Jalan Alor, old immigrants towns like Georgetown which unfortunately do not reflect the culture of the original people.
Province = state. In Canada they call province too. In China too. Yes it is called state here. Like usa, 'state of texas'. But in Canada 'province of alberta'
@@keangwooichoo6138no. State used by federal type administration. Which more self governing, has more power than province. Before independence, we malaysian state, are all different country. In short, its more like country within country.
I heard ancient scriptures (mesopotamia) have the name of old kedah in it. 1300bc. That is how grand iron works there during those days. In arabic "qalah" was the name. In indian ancient name "kataha"
Gunung jerai is one of the attraction site in kedah. Try go up early in the morning or maybe in the evening. The view will be breathtaking.
Correction, in Malaysian administrative divisions, Kedah is called a State, not a province.
Ahhh you stumbled upon bujang valley. The oldest proven human structure found in south east asia. Yes older than angkor wat, prambanan and borobudur. However, indonesians argued they have the oldest pyramids in the world on a hill top. Again unproven by international standard.
it is the ones that are mentioned in the Lost Civilization Netflix series?
Hey, the mountain is called Mount Jerai, go to the top next time. It has a stunning view from up there. And it also has a resort at the top for you to stay.
It is sad that Malaysians do not appreciate their archeological sites that much, unlike other Asean countries (Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia).
Susah la bro kalau kerajaan x bertindak..dari dlu sampai skrg..x nampak lg la usaha² utk pencarian dan cari gali artifak diberikan ruang khusus..tgk la sungai batu tu..Mcm pondok ja dibuatnya..😅
Our government unfortunately didn't pay much attention to history matters.
Because budget, and some Indian are now claiming it's belong to them despite Buddhist statue are found and not Hindu
There are no statues of buddhist or hindu origins found as yet at Sungai Batu. The only worshipping structure base found is believed to be of ANIMIST origin because it isn't typical of buddhist stupa or hindu temple. After all, buddhist or hindu presence in the Malay Peninsula is dated to only around 300-400CE thus far (based on temples and artifacts found 25km further north at Bujang Valley) , whereas Sungai Batu has been carbon dated to earliest 788BCE. It hasn't yet been established what type of worshipping place that was found which would help in identifying who the early settlers were. Otherwise, loads of tuyeres used for iron smelting, a jetty and harbourmaster office, for iron ingot exports have been found. This iron trade had been substantiated by Arabic, Chinese and Indian historical records.

Hope you guys enjoy in kedah
welcome to the Rice State of Malaysia, Kedah. Not many tourists visited this state where the earliest civilization in Malay peninsular (maybe South East Asia) first appear. Hope u enjoy being there. 🌾🌾
Not recommended to wear black in this hot weather you will feel very Uncomfortable because of the heat absorptions
What a great video. I've travelled a lot in Malaysia but haven't been there. Such a beautiful part of the country.
Thanks, it's definitely underrated!
What a lovely couple 💑 I'm from Malaysia living in uk 🇬🇧. Cheers mate for visiting malaysia and sharing our food and culture with the world 🌎 nothing venture nothing gained 😀 😋 it always chuffed to see your vlog 😀
Tip: If you dont really want to use highways, in waze, there are settings to force avoid using highways. It worked so well, even the ETA is longer, the time will reduce if you do decide to get into highway again. You dont need to switch it back to highway preferred.
BTW, the Lembah Bujang site is the oldest archeological site in South-East Asia, older than Angkor Wat and Candi Borobudur.
What a wonderful roadtrip. Hope that you guys have had a good time travelling in Malaysia.
Thank you, we still are!
@@TravelsonToast Wonderful. 😀
You should take the coastal roads. More scenic and u will drive through small towns.
You need to visit the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia - Kelantan dan Terengganu 🥰🥰🥰
Different food, different vibe, different atmosphere
We're going across all of malaysia, next is the east coast 🙂
You both surely need jacket while riding. It saves you from the heat and pouring rain.
Love the historical aspect of the archaeological site guys! Thank goodness you made it to your hotel and hopped on the right ferry! We cannot wait to watch your next video 😊 Thanks for sharing this one:)
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you coming to my state Kedah, Malaysia

My hometown Kedah

I was driving from Bangkok to Trad up East and was so over main highways, so i put Google maps on bypass, and it took us all the back streets, so beautiful 😊

@TravelsonToast absolutely you should its so much fun and the people/ views are just amazing.
On the minute of 4:35, both of you just passed thru RUAT,a small county before you reach YAN city
I am a senior citizen of Malaysia and I feel so ashamed of myself watching your videos because I am actually learning the history of every state as narrated by you.
I am a seasoned traveller through all the states and have stayed for a few years in most states due to my job but I've never studied the history, so thank you for your research and for sharing.
Keep up the good work you two, have fun and be safe
Glad you like the videos!
Mantap Bosskur ❤❤❤have a nice days from Ipoh Perak Malaysia

Thank you 👍
Glad to see you guys back in malaysia
reset the map route to 'avoid toll'
Malaysians don’t go to archeological sites if there are no restaurants nearby 😂😂😂
Lol
lmao 😂🤣
Yes. A restaurant serving authentic traditional food would be a wild draw there. Yummy 😋
Food is important
Nasi kandar, laksa ikan sekoq should be there, wash down with teh tarik then we will talk about exploring archeological site. Only Indiana Jones went to archeological site on empty stomach.😂
You two more and more look alike 😊❤
you should go to kampung angong because it is very interesting there.
It's on top of my list too pal 👍 👍 And yeah, I don't know why sometimes I stepped into KFC. Probably just for their mashed potato.
ride with small bike better go for local routes. highway not really safe for it. those days used to travel from KL to Beruas. You may google where it located.
u need to get a larger motorcycle box, i think those box comes in 42 liters capacity....
Amazing the archeological site you have found.!!!!
Really interesting history 🙂
Stay safe n hydrated guys. There's an extreme heatwave happenning nowadays
Excellent video
Dear sister,if you feel the bag is too heavy on the back while riding the motorcycle, just wear it on your front😂😂😂, it's better that way and your bag will not capture the wind like a parachute😂😂 which will pull you on the back hence stretch and stress your back
You guys are just awesome! ❤
Minute 6:11, Zahir Mosque (Masjid Zahir) among the oldest mosque in Malaysia, exizt before 1900 and Japanese troop cycled from Padang Besar to reach Butterworth before capture Penang in December 1941 to January 1942
Thanks for the info!

Riding 2 wheels is better than driving because you can see a place more detail.
Welcome to Malaysia. Its advisable to wear light colored shirt because now is the hottest month of the year.
Agreed, so much more freedom and fun

Kau tgk. Tourist suka tgk Arkeologi, Sejarah, Muzeum. Yang org kita asyik bina? Shopping Mall, mall mall mall dan Mall.
you...cover your skin from the heat of the sun while driving for a long time...as women we have to take care of our skin😄
long sleeve shirt or jacket...it's summer now
State, not province. Big difference there.
If you're coming back to kedah, you guys should go through Baling province..🫡
Teringin sbnnya nak pergi baling tp sbb outskirt sikit drp laluan biasa, smpi skrg x kesampaian. Tlg suggest lokasi menarik yg patut dikunjungi.
Not province ,its state , like usa
Boom
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
All HM models has steering rack issues, not just Civic. Changed 2 steering rack on our HRV. Rubbish quality.
That area north you must go mango harummanis plantation and sugarcane plantation
Sugarcane plantation no more, was closed down for many years already .
The wrong ferry was a gem 😂
Lucky they checked our ticket 😅
How did you guys even bear with heat? As a Malaysian I can't even imagine riding a bike that far of a distance in that kind of weather, wearing black too omg 😅
It's definitely hard to deal with, we just take a lot of breaks and drink lots of cold drinks 😅
For the love of Allah, activate your super stickers; it is in your setting
Stay away from highway to see more
btw Ke-dah pronouced Ke as in Miranda Kerr. 🤭
How do you feel ? Hot, very hot or burning your skin ?
First
well done my hero
No Province in Malaysia...
It is State(s)...
Kedah is a state, not a province 😊
FYI, one idiotic contractor bought a piece of land there and destroyed the entire temple complex at the archaeological site
That is very sad😔
@TravelsonToast the authorities forced the contractor to find and return the blocks so that experts can reconstruct it back. Not sure what had happened after that incident. All quiet. Perhaps there is corruption involved.
Kedah Tua..Sg batu antara bukti tamadun Melayu sudah bertapak lama di Malaysia..tp sygnya kerajaan tidak membantu untuk buat pencarian/penelitian ttg identiti bangsa Melayu..
. Do you support Israel?
That is an indian civilations
Lembah bujang
Not Indian, malay brought in Indian slaves to works here. Whoever said it's Indian civilization obviously for political gain
Kedah is part of the Islamic world of Afghanistan Bananastan. .
Sound like racist would said
Its raja-raja chola civilization king from india
😂😂😂😂chola
@@jonidjoharijonidjohari5385TODI ..AYOO YOO APPA..
Kalinga period, not Chola period. Vlog from India also said that.
Kalinga and Srivijaya is maritime allied those back day. That why Chola attacked Srivijaya after Kalinga fall
Adoiiii...pendatang oh pendatang...begitu dengki dgn sejarah melayu...mmng kaki mabok la korang
Raja chola live from which era? This place exist 2000 years before chola ever born
nice scene at kedah & perlis😍😍😍
