I have lived in KY all my 62 years. Visited many states, countries, provences, and continents, but there is no place quite like it. Glad you stopped in.
We are enjoying your videos! We appreciated that you don’t use foul language! This is our favorite way to travel. We don’t even have to leave home. Thank you for taking us along..
You should come back to Mt. Sterling during Court Days! The city is FULL of vendors, good food and music for at least 3 days or more. I live in Lexington and love that I'm surrounded by so much history and beauty. Thanks for visiting our amazing state. ❤ Oh and those rock fences you saw...the ones in Paris, KY, leading into Lexington, have signs that tell when they were constructed.
I live in Bardstown or as you called it Bardsville. :0) The hotel you pointed out was called the Talbot Inn. Oldest Tavern in Kentucky. Next time you come through here you need to eat at Mammys Kitchen down on the square. The history here is unbelievable. So many cool places and not to mention all of the distilleries and tours that you can take. We will treat you to Mammys if you ever decide to come back for a few days
@@davidzellow1292 That is awesome! I'm glad you found your place and i hope you and your dog get to enjoy it for a long long time 😊. We live in Kansas City right now and have to stay in the state for our business but are considering a move down to southern missouri. I know the city is tooo much for me these days and i want my kids to experience more childhood
All the years trucking with my husband and listening to his voice as he drove along. I can listen to you all day, love your descriptive, calm, visits all around America. Thank you.
I had to laugh, you’re walking down the street and saw the horse mural on the building. And I was yelling at the TV that secretariat the greatest race horse of all time. I wish you would’ve walked over and read the plaque on the building. I love your videos though.
I remember when I was young coming thru Kentucky, I saw a sign on I 75 for President Lincoln's birthplace and covinced my mother to go see the birthplace.
abraham lincoln is my favourite personality , once i saw his comment that i still could nt get the best place to live but i guess it will be montana . so i start loving montana . now i got to know that he lived in kentucky .so im in love with kentucky too . i Love whole america .every state is better than other when u see it . its a blessed land of God i would say .
Thanks for visiting the great state of Kentucky. I've lived in central KY for fifty two years. I've seen many people relocate, but they always return. You should visit the Lexington area.
We've travelled many of the highways and byways you do and it is so much fun to relive our travels with you! Thanks so much.

Thank you, Russ, for visiting Kentucky! I've watched you for several years, but never expected you to visit my state! I live in Liberty, Kentucky, approximately 60 miles south of Frankfort!
I wish I could have seen you while you were here in Kentucky. I live close to Mt. Sterling. I have never took the time to stroll through downtown. Your video really brought to my attention how much we take for granted living here. I have much more appreciation for my home Kentucky.
I'm not sure if you made another video on Kentucky, but you missed the far western end of the state. Paducah has an enormous amount of history to be discovered, along with great architecture in their buildings.
The best 'travelogue' of these areas of Kentucky that I've ever seen; no lie! Ya did miss Georgetown College and the Toyota plant in Georgetown but that's not what you do kinda... I have lived in this area for 70 years and really enjoyed reading the 'story boards/markers' you focus on occasionally. Many thanks for an accurate view of the region! But, ya gotta visit the most beautiful small town in the United States: Madison Induana. Right across the Ohio from Milton, Kentucky (to me...) it's reminiscent of the line from Rocky Mountain High: He was born in the summer of his 27th year; coming home to a place he'd never been before.
RVer due to losing the use of my legs to old age, I watch an awful lot of travel TV. In my youth, I was one traveling SOB. Of all the ones I watch yours is by far one of the very best. Keep up your excellent work.
I visited the Corvette Museum 6 years ago before the floor was repaired. It was a LOT more exciting to visit then, with the sinkhole covered in plexiglass so you could see the wrecked Vettes still @ the bottom of the pit. 😱
It was fun watching this video. You were within a half mile of my house when you were in Mt Sterling. Also, I wrecked one of Jim Beam's trucks when I worked there in the late 90's. Wasn't bad, just dented the hood😂
Yay!!!! Thank you for sharing this. I am going there next month for the Solar Eclipse and I was going to be there for a few days. I was going through ur videos Saturday looking for this. Ur psychic!!! Thanks for all you do ❤❤
Across the way from the Corvette Museum is the Corvette factory. The only place the Corvette is manufactured is right there in Bowling Green. KY is where President Lincoln and President Jefferson Davis of the Confederacy were born. A lot of history about our divided state. Bowling Green is home of Western Kentucky University. I enjoyed your video!
I haven’t been able to visit very much of Kentucky. However what I have seen I do like I need to visit places in Kentucky some more. I know you said you like to be in the downtown area’s on Sunday morning but I need the shops open. I wouldn’t think so.
Russ, I love your videos, but would love to see some videos with people going about their business moving around, I think I will get a better feel of the place. I'm a city girl 😮
Next time you come to frankfort stop in the history center on a Wednesday, its definitely worth it and you can view the inside of the old state capital
I can't wait until I leave Mount Sterling Kentucky go back home to Missouri I really miss my home state but unfortunately I'm stuck here because of family
