that gave me flashbacks to when I did clutch in my 07 plate boxer xD too bad I didn't see it 2 years ago when I did mine. you make so much shortcuts I wasn't aware of. I've always undone the drop links to undo the strut off the ball joint. On the longer drive shaft instead of knocking it out off the support bracket, I removed the whole bracket off the engine (such a pain!). I took out the air filter housing (again, such a pain!!!!) and the ECU to get to the n/s engine/gearbox mount (that also gave me better access to the gear selector as mine was really rusty and I struggled to remove it) xD I removed all the turbo inlet pipes from the turbo to intercooler. I removed the crankshaft sensor worried I'd damage it. Also had to drop the flywheel and replace the main bearing seal. I totally didn't expect that so that set me back a few days to get it from peugeot but you were prepared!!! Do they always fail then? Impact wrench seems to speed things up so much. I only used hand tools and all together it took me just over two days to do the job on the driveway. some 16 work hours xD you're a darn clutch ninja. even the outfit says so ;) well done!
Somethings are best left to guys like you who know their way around a vehicle. It would take me hours just to find out where to start, let alone how far to dismantle the ancillaries to free the box. It's practice I know, but that was great to watch and learn. The camera work and editing was superb and a joy to watch. Cheers 🍻
Thank you so much for this video. I found your channel a few weeks ago and lost a whole evening watching. My 2015 Peugeot Boxer 75000 miles has developed a rattle in neutral and suspect the clutch release bearing. Seeing the state of the one in this video I think I may be correct. Have done a few clutches over the years but all the ancillaries bolted onto this box makes it look a bit more of a challenge. Your video will make it a whole lot easier. You are indeed the clutch ninja.
Cheers for the video after experiencing having to do this to my van all I can say is you are some guy lifting that box into place by hand. I took it out by hand like you did but I had to make a jack to lift it back in. It was an experience for sure. Used a brake disc on a trolly jack and a ratchet strap over the upper gearbox mount and worked a treat to reposition it back on my own as I just gave up after trying to lift it in twice like you did
Hats off to this guy I had a friend hu worked like this guy but after 10/15 years in the trade his body give up on him this guy put way to much strain on his body lifting that box up the way he did
Had to do one of these at work today for the first time your video helped a lot mate👌🏻 respect to you for doing that work on the ground I’m not sure I could do that 😅
Its look so easy. I prefer take off drive shafts to have more space. The cherry on the cake are two bolts bolted engine and gearbox just behind the turbo... I use angle impact wrench Milwaukee because off limit the space. You are the master I know some of your costumers and all are happy with your jobs. Regards 👍
What a legend. You make it look so easy. Respect to you👍 Think it's worth me and a friend having a go changing the rear main seal on our citroen relay ourselves?

Man that was epic, the box has just gone on my L4 boxer, cant find a local garage with space enough to fit the van in, having seen this i think i may as well do it myself!!!
Mister Williams, I question my self; You took 1 hour of video, But; how long did it realy used to change the clutch? I geuess it must be around 2,5-3 hours? Cars are more complex today, from what I saw this was far most quiet a prestation on the outside; I remember years ago when I changed a clutch on a Opel Kadett, it was wet, rainy, the work I did is in no case to comphere with the achievement you showed us today. You did not swore once in the movie, what is remarquable. You took the time to verify each and one bolt. this is a revenece worthy. I wish I had a friend now as I did in my youth to work on cars again. I'am impressed. Why? Well let say I do drive as Boxer 3L, this year the centerplate of the clutch went AWOL on me, after 77 000 Km's, I use my clutch very carefully, no burn out or so, not speeding up like nuts just normal driving. I went to the Workshop, the mechanic told me that it was a flaw on the clutch plate. That cost's me around 1200€, the flywheel was/is in good condition, what saved me some more €. Anyway, after I took my van over, a day or two I remaqued that I had a christmas tree going on on the instrument panel, also a little sisseling thru my speekers; I checked in the first place the earth/masse cable, couldn't find it, my opignion is a falwty conection of the earth/masse cable. I went back to the workshop and he told me that he did not touch the masse cable. So I went home; it nerved me, so I went to a Peugeot dealer, they checked my instrumental panel and told me that some of are falwty; for that I have to spend more or less some 800€, as I asked him if these falwty panel would influence my van; he told me of not. So, I decided not to change it for the moment. Neverless, my question to you, am I right that the sisseling I hear trhu my speaker is from the masse cable? I looked up on the net but can not find any answers on that behalve, where are there masse cables on the engine? Is there only one as I saw in your video or do I suspect some more? May I hope that you take the time to respond to my writing? sincerly.

Hi Kevin-Albert Williams, I wanted to ask you kindly why the cold clutch tears while when the engine warms up it is normal Fiat Panda City Cross 1200 cc ..
I might try to unbolt the bottom ball joint carrier (3 bolts) instead of taking the hub nut off, ball joint nut off, drop link nut off. Nice short cut. Less to go wrong I guess. Just be careful with the top mounts if the strut is moved too much outerwards away from van
