Waouw !! This undoubtedly goes into the category "master piece". Graphisms are so accurate and beautiful. 😮 Typewriter animation at the beginning is really stunning.both from the technical point of view and the aesthetical point of view. I've never played the original game (and not sure I want to play it) but will for sure play this version. Big congrats and big thanks for this marvel. You took your time to polish this jewel 💎 and the result is great. It was also a pleasure to follow your works through your various technical post. We could learn a lot from your journey and the way you documented it. Impressing achievement. PS: I'm very glad that my pseudo appears in the list of name at the end. It's such an honor to be named in the midst of all the great people that you mention.
Thanks, there are still quite a few rough areas, and quite a few bugs as well. The reason why the intro, outtro and splash sequences are in already is because it's an integral part of the entire "game as a package", and I needed to know exactly how much room I would have on the disk to finish the game, and obviously these sequences still take time to develop and had to be done at some point. Regarding your name, well, you did release some stuff on the machine in the last 5 years (that was my cut-off point), so no reason why you should have been excluded :)
Thanks :) I've done quite a lot of stuff on the Oric, but most of it have been either demos, or small games. I've never actually made a large scale game on the machine, so my baseline for the quality level is more or less around "What would Twilighte or Chema had done" 🤔
Thanks, much appreciated 😅 I guess this game is basically receiving the benefits of my having used this machine for quite a long while, having helped/participated to other games on the same machine, and also be working in the game industry for a few decades, so in my mind it's a case of "either do it as good as you can possibly do it, or don't do it"... which is also why it took forever to reach this point.😱
oh wow. this is really evolving! I tried not to see through it all to ruin my own gameplay so I jumped around. Looking forward to testing it when it is done! The typewriter was a very good touch I think!
I tried to avoid spoiling by not showing any of the actual gameplay actions, and normally you would not be able to directly go to some of the places I shown, so you still have to figure out how to access them! Glad you like it :)
I don't plan to port it to other platforms, it will be localized to French and whatever other language other people can help me, but that's about it. That being said, all the code and assets are available, so if anyone feels like porting the game, as long as they credit properly I'm fine with it :) The next big step will be to have some music in the game, and I was wondering if a specific Swedish guy I had in mind, someone truly excellent in his art, would be interested in making a few bits of music for the game. The current plan is to use the Arkos Tracker 2 replay routine, and the style of music would be like classical mystery / jazz noir / Agatha Christie / etc... style
@@DbugII But I will also be able to enjoy the whole creation series of videos in one big binge watch once I finish the game ;-) So I have that to look forward to!
@@tgphighscoreruns4111 When I'm done with the game, I'll probably do some new videos explaining the changes between the first upgrade attempt and the second one, with a comparison of the two versions (the "new BASIC version on disk" and the "new new version made in C and assembler also on disk") and the reasons for the changes... and probably some more generic stuff not involving code about some of the changes I did to the actual game logic and why.

You are doing an amazing job, wouldn't expect less :)
Thanks :)

An amazing project 😊. Definitely something to be proud of!
Thanks for the kind words!
I guess the underlying idea is kind of a "how far can I push the machine as well as my own skills" 😅
Really jawdropping work here, amazing. Technically impressive but also just really nice design.
Thanks, much appreciated 😅

Fabuleux travail ! Bravo ! 👏👏👏👏
Merci, maintenant il n'y à plus qu'a finir le jeu 😱

That looks amazing. Not an Orician but I think your developer community is very talented. Bravo!
Thanks a lot, now I just need to finish the game and release it 😅
@DbugII Having perused some of your other content, I have no doubt! Great work.
this looks awesome !!!!
Thanks, it's still not finished, and as you could see there are still some bugs, but I surely hope I will have it finished this year :)
Nicely done! I am still trying to finish Zorgons revenge ( grabbing the bloody yellow bird! ) before I try this one :)
When you are done with Zorgon, I suggest you try "Damsel", in the mean time I'll try to get the game finished!
Amazing work! Any plans on porting it to other platforms when it’s completed? The graphics are incredibly impressive, keep being awesome! ❤

@@DbugII If such a person exists, rest assured I will find that person and hook you up with him! :-)
I'm actually avoiding these updates, because I want to enjoy the game when it is finished! 😉😉
I totally get you :)
It's difficult to find the balance between keeping people interested and get some word of mouth vs spoiling the entire game!

it's look a wonderfull game !
Hopefully it will be, but at the moment there's still quite a lot of missing gameplay scripting, but it's getting there!
