But I tell you this...that feeling on top of a 'Busa' on an empty freeway....late on a Sunday night...lot of wow factor there. BE SAFE !!! There are 'others' out there...
My first bike was a 2000 Hayabusa. If like me you hadn't ridden any bike before you defiantly have to be pretty damn careful. Stay away from traffic, ride it round in the suburbs a bit till you get feel for the throttle and brakes. Especially how touchy the brakes are until they seat. Take your time learning the bike before you try to do a 180+( hint you'll want a quality helmet. Cheap ones seem like they wanna suck off your head at those speeds). From there the thing about the Hayabusa people don't wanna tell you is it's an absolute cadillac, very comfortable to just cruise it around. Yes there's shitton of power from just off idle till you hit the rev limiter, but that flat torque curve makes for a very well mannered bike. Yammie's right about the size I'm 6'3" 275# so size of the bike suited me just fine, but more average sized riders may find the size more challenging. People who say they don't corner are probably just intimidated by the size and weight of the bike. I mean it's not a 600. In the end my reason for selling mine few years ago was I'm sad to say I got too old for it. The temptation to open the throttle up and warp space time vs the physical/mental toll it takes out of you had me riding it less and less till I made the honestly painful decision to pass it on to a new owner. I really loved the bike and highly recommend one even as your first bike. Just be careful it's a big, powerful and kinda heavy bike, if you don't respect it, it will hurt you.
Quick question: Could the Busa be considered an automatic transmission on the street if it can go to 80 mph without even requiring you to shift to 2nd gear?
My MSF beginner course had Hayabusas to learn on. So definitely a perfect beginner bike. You can always move up into something more powerful later... :p
I just picked up another Hayabusa, I don't know why I was hesitant about it after having one before. Wow, it really is the best beginner bike. It costs a lot and is very heavy. It will get dropped a few times so the new rider can get that feeling of watching money go out for repairs for the damage. Also, it will allow them to get their first hospital visit out of the way early. After ticking a few must do items like dropping and injury off the list they will have become much smarter and wiser bike riders. Plus the skills they learn will help on their next bike a HARLEY. Great video!

There’s nothing dbag about a lowered Hayabusa with brocks that’s stretched 6 to 8 inches with 200mm rear. This video went way too all or nothing with this Busa Boy thing. I think this video should of explained that having many of those mods minus 300 fat tire, chrome aftermarket fairing kits, lights too stretched etc. Brocks exhaust is nice. Keeping a Busa completely stock is nerdy af. Keep up with the excelent work guys!
I bought a 2020 Hayabusa last week, I wasn’t sold on the 3rd gen 2021 model an 8K price hike for the same as the Gen2 with a little less HP and tons of driving aids that I wouldn’t use anyways. I’ll be getting the Yoshimura R-77 carbon, And that is about it.
Anyone got any advice for a good beginner bike just turned 16 and got my license mainly used for going to school and work not on open highways
Pro tip for the viewers.. like most of yamie's videos, skip 5 mins of this too.. you wont miss anything.. just some of his humour that only he thinks is funny
Love your videos
Hey Yammie. I just turned 17 and currently drive a Honda Varadero 125. I am over 6-foot tall and already know that I will only drive adventure-bikes for the rest of my life. Can you do more Adventure-related tier lists or videos in the future? Driving an "old mans" bike is actually the best solution for me and many others, especially in Europe:)) (From Norway BTW)
är du 18 ny?
@@d2rr yup
Are we NOT going to say something about 0:34 wind shield leaving the planet?

No yammie Noob I am late 30s I just want a little scooter. Looking on craigslist as I wait for the funds, made watching your craigslist videos even funnier. Thank you for your delightful videos mr. Noob
What if the BUSA wants to kill you does this mean I'm not ready for this legendary machine or is there a way to tame that beast I need to know what it takes to be worthy to ride it
It wants to kill us all bro. Its truly up to you to show it who is in charge. And that, my friend, takes time, balls and really good insurance, plus being OK w dying. No shit. But the reward is literally unimaginable if you have never beat the shit outta this bike. Its like nothing u have ever experienced. swear.
😂😂😂😂 Literally watching/listening to this video while at work.
Amazing!
Ha. I've got a stocker 2000 bus with only 50,000 miles on it...and this spring I went all out on the LED light kit. I think I wanna piss off everyone.
I checked and yeah there is a major difference in results....thanks man for telling

Talk to the point only.

I feel like the question you should be asking is "so you need a hyabusa?"
