Val Kilmer probably did the best Bruce Wayne. Michael Keaton was a recluse, Christian Bale was a playboy. Kilmer was a businessman who was good to Gotham and even told his assistant to pay full benefits to the family of the guy the riddler shoved out the window despite her telling him suicide isn't covered by his insurance. Anyone who has read the comics know that's what Bruce Wayne is like. He's not like the other two. I do think this film is underrated

My gosh, I have become a fan of Batman Forever... This scene right here is where you see all the great potential this movie truly has and I love it
This movie actually was genuinely pretty good. Nowhere near as bad as people seem to think it is. Sure, it was campier than the Burton ones that came before it. But it was Batman & Robin (1997) that was the stand-out one as being corny and bad. But even though I saw them originally, I can appreciate them for what they are and the time period they were released in. They both have their epic moments in each movie, though.
The Robin suit in this movie isn't that bad. Just get rid of the nipples and that massive cup, and it's a cool design. It's clearly based off of Tim Drake's original design, but it has the neck of the cape zipped down to make it look like a collar, referencing Dick Grayson's suit.
The only thing I never really understood is, aside from his fight with Two Face, Robin didn't really do anything except get himself blown up or kidnapped. You'd think they'd give him a decent fight scene after building him up like that.

For someone determined to offer him help, Robin became more of a hindrance to batman than help hehe. In this sequence alone, it was his first chance to prove he can handle himself only to be caught off guard and nearly gets drowned so easily by riddler's diver goons. Quite adorable that he keeps trying though ☺
It actually does with all the campiness and having jokes in a lot of scenes I read a while back that Kevin feige did say he was inspired by the christoper Reeves superman for the mcu since it was a mix of campiness with action.
I know this film isn’t the best but when Gordon gave up and then Batman returns (pun intended) and flies through The Riddler’s symbol I couldn’t help but cheer with Gordon as a kid the first time I watched this
Riddler was smart but he would have been no match for Batman nor even Robin in a physical hand-to-hand fight. His cane would have been his only defense against Batman and Robin.
Chris Aldridge so I’m guessing you liked how he acted like he was always out of breath and hyperventilating? Lol. He was ok. But, like the other commenter said above... he is the only live action robin except the 60’s TV show Robin (Burt Ward) and you can’t really compare the two. Let’s see how the guy who is playing Robin in that new show Titans that will be on the DC Streaming Service (supposed to be a streaming service like Netflix but purely for DC fans with only DC Comics related content). There will also likely be a Nightwing, Batgirl AND a Robin not only in the new Batman trilogy directed by Matt Reeves (directed Cloverfield, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes & War For The Planet Of The Apes). So, we will be seeing a few different Robins here within the next few years.
Dan Robinson when I saw the movie the audience had the same reaction to Batman showing his butt to the camera. But When Robin appeared in costume everyone cheered in excitement.
The only way I see a younger version of Robin working with say Robert Pattinson's universe, would be that Robin is like a Batman fanboy and Batman doesn't ever officially accept him as his partner. Robin just kinda shows up where Batman is at and maybe during like the third act Robin really helps Batman during a fight and Batman acknowledges that he was helpful
@@rankrodent2772 Exactly! These damn cynical people and writers of today just don't get it. Batman is suppose to be a balanced dark knight as he's used to be before back in the old days.

I remember I was really young Batman and Robin working together was my favorite Robin was of the reason why I like Batman so much
Jim Carrey Was A Great Riddler!
3:29
Riddler To Two-Face:
You sunk my Battleship. LOL!!
Who, me?! 😂😂
this scene gives me chills it's so good.
Gotta love how Robin trashed a multi-million dollar Batboat within, what, half an hour of setting off from the Batcave.
1:52 great build up
3:15 everytime I play GTA 5
I love how Riddler and Two Face somehow managed to to build a gigantic lair in such a short period of time
2:11 awesome Batwing
2:29 That Boat though… WHOO!!! Lol
4:09 that scream XD HAHAHA
"I got him!"
4:09-4:14 When a lady successfully screws the man she likes.
Best thing apart from Gordon's cheer and the music is the signal turning back to white after Batman bursts through it.
2:11 - I love this scene
The villains are so comic-bookish, you just can't hate them.
"What do you suggest Alfred. By sea.. or by air..?"
Why not both?
RIP JOEL SCHUMACHER
Damn, this batflick was so damn good. Cartoonish but in a fun way.
That version suit of this Robin actor who worn is a little better than other version I wish they should have another version as that
Love this movie. It’s my childhood.
The scene where these two set off and gordon cheers, always gets me emotional. Music helps it so much,. Into danger they head!
The funny thing is this looks like all the Marvel movies today.
AlexanderRmz umm...how?!?!?!😂
AlexanderRmz are you dumb?
Feels, rather than looks, both the MCU and Batman Forever / & Robin have tedious comedy.
Thank parents groups for that shit
It actually does with all the campiness and having jokes in a lot of scenes I read a while back that Kevin feige did say he was inspired by the christoper Reeves superman for the mcu since it was a mix of campiness with action.
I know this film isn’t the best but when Gordon gave up and then Batman returns (pun intended) and flies through The Riddler’s symbol I couldn’t help but cheer with Gordon as a kid the first time I watched this
Kilmer was an idiot for not coming back for 1997
This was the best Batsuit, in all four movies. It looked like real armor.
Riddler was smart but he would have been no match for Batman nor even Robin in a physical hand-to-hand fight. His cane would have been his only defense against Batman and Robin.
This is the only successful batman movie where you see Batman and Robin.
Can we just take the time to appreciate Bruce’s willingness to forget the no killing code for a friend and partner
"Partner" lol
0:19 BADASS
Chris O' Donnell was the best Robin ever.
At least Levitt had some serious potential.
@@overlex bullshit! Joseph Gordon Levett doesn't count at all, never got to see her shitty ass in a male superhero suit
@Ivan Rakitić I love Burt Ward but Chris O'Donnell is an absolute Babe 💓
@Dário Diniz There was Burt Ward
I love Gordon’s enthusiasm and faith in Batman
I like this scene.
0:14
Batman’s utility belt.
0:10 Batman Forever Sonar Suit Up " #BatmanForever
0:48 Batman Forever R Robin . 1995 " #BatmanForever
1:14 A Partner Bat Sea Air " #BatmanForever
I smile on Alfreds face he says “Robin”, like a proud grandpa🥲.
One of the best team up scenes In a comic book movie in my opinion👍👍👍
0:16 LMAO did they show just his cheeks? DOUBLE CHEEKED UP IN A THURSDAY NIGHT 😂
Better than the Spidey 3 teamup
And that's a lot of maneuvering for the batwing to exit the cave, one clip on a rock and dead
This movie was my childhood
I know that silver suit isn't practical at all by most standards but man does it look cool.
This movie is 1000% a guilty pleasure.
0:14, I remember there were a few surprised murmors in the cinema at the sight of Batman showing ass!
Dan Robinson one was me
Dan Robinson when I saw the movie the audience had the same reaction to Batman showing his butt to the camera. But When Robin appeared in costume everyone cheered in excitement.
"What are YOU?!"
0:16 "I'm ASSMAN!"
Buttman
The only way I see a younger version of Robin working with say Robert Pattinson's universe, would be that Robin is like a Batman fanboy and Batman doesn't ever officially accept him as his partner. Robin just kinda shows up where Batman is at and maybe during like the third act Robin really helps Batman during a fight and Batman acknowledges that he was helpful
2:23 - Well my work's done
I love this scene because it shows where the other bat-vehicles were stored. I don’t think any other movie did that.
See THIS was the time when Batman was a little more open & understanding than how he is today in the DC universe
They try too hard to be dark and brooding now, they kinda forget his humanity and compassion
@@rankrodent2772 Exactly! These damn cynical people and writers of today just don't get it. Batman is suppose to be a balanced dark knight as he's used to be before back in the old days.
That Robin costume is sick as hell
Robin is allowed to be a partner and he immediately crashes the boat, gets captured, gets separated, then gets captured again. Literally everything he does on this mission just makes things more difficult for Batman.
He's new at wearing rubber suits ;)
Yeah, but it was his first time being Batman's sidekick, so it's not like he was experienced already.
@@bracebrooks967 It was a terrible audition for Robin. I gotta imagine Batman pulled him aside after they got back to the cave like "Man, what the hell happed out there? This is exactly what I've been saying for the whole movie. I work better alone."
@@RichardCano I understand your point, but if I were a hero in real life I would definitely want a side-kick or two. It's always great to have support in life. I also honestly wouldn't mind being a side-kick to a big-name hero.
"Partner" lol
Great job on the first one too and the second one is so cute too and the first one is so
2:09 aunque no sea mi película favorita del personaje esta es de mis escenas favoritas de cualquier película de Batman
0:19
What a fucking amazing suit, black and silver..
"What are You?!"
0:16 "I'm ASSMAN!"
