    I have an MSi Trident 3 because I liked how portable it was, but ended up liking this build and managed to find most of the parts at great prices that I've now set myself on this build!
    The difference I've done is gone for 32GB of RAM and 1TB M.2 because I found them for only £5-10 more so felt right to do so! I low how well you went through your build too. Some can skip small details there and then, but you did great to the point of where I can use this as a guide for when I attempt mine!

    • @jerrysmart5010
      @jerrysmart5010 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@cartierr7485 I don't see why it would? It's a squeeze, but you could install two fans at the bottom of the case just to improve airflow.
      I've personally gone for a 5600g because performance is extremely similar or slightlyless than what I have now and got it for really cheap. Thankfully there's been insane price drops on GPU's so I got an RTX 3070 for 300 aswell.

    Excellent build; also very good video editing and breakdown of the process- subscribed! I do think it's worth noting that DLSS 3 would also work well at 1440p for single player games like Cyberpunk 2077 if the budget were closer to $1k USD, but honestly I can't complain about your choices within $900. That leaves extra room for dedicated peripherals.

    • @marsovac
      @marsovac 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried DLSS3 on the 4060, and it is a no go. You need 1080p resolution to have close to 60 fps, and if you don't and do 1440p, driving the car feels wobbly like driving a boat if you have 30 fps base and shooting is innacurate. Maybe it is fine for those playing consoles, but I cannot stand the latency of 30 fps. The alternative is to drop quality but in that case it isnt' useful.

    I would probably opt for the 5600 non-X to stay in budget but be able to upgrade to the 6700 non-XT as suggested in the video. Hopefully the included wraith cooler can fit in the case as well so you can save 20 more dollars to afford an upgrade to 32GB VRAM as well and for under 1k you have an excellent 1080p/1440p LAN device.

    The cheaper motherboard + high quality PSU combo is fantastic for someone on a budget. More expensive motherboards achieve stability through power filtering and management, i.e. they have a lot of components to help deal with bad power input, and/or strange power requirements. if your CPU is running stock in a thermally constrained system, and you live in area/building with good source power, a good PSU will give you the same benefits, and it can also out-live your CPU/Mobo/RAM.

    I'm building a similar PC and something important to have in mind is chosing a under b550 chipset motherboard is going to affect the performance, if you have a pcie 4.0 GPU. before buying the mobo u can check the price difference, probably is not a lot (depending on the model) and for the performance it might worth.

    Great build, I coppied your build (7800X3d + 4080) from a former video but swapped the mb (using a Asus X670E-I board) and also used a MSI 4080, tnx for the vid and keep up the good work 🙂

    A cheat code for buying PC parts is MicroCenter's open box bin. Got a 750w Lian Li SFX, a $75 Lian Li H20 case, and more.

    Hey man! Great build, However i still had some questions. Would you recommend getting an rtx 3070 or 3060ti in this build? Would it fit?

    I still think Fractal Design Node 304 has most perfect layout, perhaps if Fractal redesigned it with handle as carry case, it could be perfect lunchbox PC :D

    the sf600 is a great supply and would fit this build better. ive run higher spec'd parts on that one and its rock solid. sf750 does give you some head room if you want a newer gpu, however finding one that fits will be a nightmare. i went with a 7900xt, it barely fit in my 12l case and i dont think the sf750 could have handled the xtx anyway. low profile versions may be available however.

    I built many PCs in my lifetime.. have made it a mission to build the smallest one possible.
    One thing we all learned, things get expensive when going small. And in fact he could have gone with a smaller power supply.

    Just finished a similar build weeks ago. 5600x+b550+sf600+3060ti. It is a fine itx case as its price and everything works just fine. I feel 5600x is the best CPU for this case, considering the thermals. 7000 series ryzen is still too costly and intel CPU are too hot for this.

      @@frozen1616 I bought some of these parts a while ago. But if you wanna build something similar with all new parts, it should be around $1000

    This build is amazing! But I wonder how a top tier air cooled build would run in this. Too hot?

    Watch out about the 3rd generation riser cable, for newer gpu's only the 4th gen riser cables will get a post. Got this from experience with pretty close the same build.

    Did you have to flash the mobo for the 5000 series CPU or did it already have the updated bios?
