Carom ball shown here is more of a leg spin than a carom delivery. The best way to bowl a carom would be the way how Ashwin or Mendis does it imo .. I have been able to master this bowling with tennis ball but the transition to a proper leather ball is tricky. Would be great if you could add a suppliment to this to talk about the doosra as well. There are a lot of videos where Saqlain himself explains how to bowl it legally
You missed the variation called Dosra, invented by Saqlain Mushtaq and practiced by Several spinners like Muttiah Muralitharan, Harbhajan Singh, Saeed Ajmal, and many others. It is the most lethal off-spin variation along with the Carom ball. Also, the Carom ball is balled by the flick of the finger not as shown in the video. I guess the best bowlers to see about it are Ajantha Mendis and Ashwin.
The carrom ball is usually delivered with a flick of the middle finger, just look up the iverson grip. The carrom ball shown here is more of a leg break.
Hey coach I wanted to ask you in regarding to strike rotation. I am a 14 year old opener who looks to see off the new ball and then score more of my runs yet has problems with strike rotation. There are a few balls such as the straight drive or the touch to square leg for a single or so that gets me edged or bowled. The drive is most of the time an extended version of a block, yet when I hit the drive I am not able to time it as well, or just get bowled out. I hope I'm making sense and you can reach out to me with a solution. Have a great Christimas and a Happy New Year!
Happy Christmas to you as well. It's obviously difficult as we can't see your physical batting, but as a opener you have to initially look to play nice and straight and be as tight and compact as possible. If you are getting bowled by straight balls, you are obviously leaving a gap between bat and pad, or not getting your head in line. I would suggest that you have a look at these videos - th-cam.com/video/wGz9bPrt5iM/w-d-xo.html this will help you stay a bit more compact. th-cam.com/video/REiog1uSc3o/w-d-xo.html This one will help with strike rotation. Sir my brother is new to cricket he want to be a leg spinner but whatever he does the ball goes off spin how do I help him so he can be consistent and takes wickets
Yes that's fair. A lot of these can be picked, but it gives the batter something else to think about, and that's the beauty of it, if they second guess themselves you are in with a chance.
While bowling carrom bowl you should actually get some support from knuckles. Like Ravi Ashwin usually does. And one more thing he does , he changes his index finger's position behind the seam to in front of seam, which helps to cunfuse the batter.
Revenge for gully cricket unlocked 😂

Thank you I got selected in our state ranji team and became a mystery spiner because of this thank you so much

I used to bowl carrom ball by mistake I thought it is my mistake but after this video I understood those were carrom ball

You missed Doosra
Bro doosra is very extreme
Dosra is not possible with the current rules. As it requires extension of elbow above 14degree.
Same
Please give left arm spin 😇💙
Its the exact same, just with the left hand
Seems like the carrom ball is a leg spinner and can be picked. Doosra? Need Saqlain for that I think.

wow I never knew Tommy Hass is also a cricket bowling coach😂
Woke up and chose violence didn't you 😅
What is the difference between carrom ball and a basic legspin
Carrom ball is a variation of off spin...
This one not the actual grip of the carram ball.
Carom ball is a bit difficult to do effectively
Leg spin sir
