50 years old, retired from international cricket over 12 years ago, bowling on grass, still pitches the ball outside leg spins it sharply & hits the stumps first ball. Shane Warne is still a freak of nature. Most current day leg spinners couldn't do what he just did, with that level of control & accuracy. There'll never be another one quite like him. Rashid Khan an immense, prodigious talent. But a vastly different style of leg spinner.

What a cricketer shane Warne was. Always full of energy, enthusiasm and joy. It was absolute delight to watch him play. Even loved his commentary full of fun and larger than life personality.
That session finished FAR too quickly. Warne was simply a Legend. The two of them showed great respect and understanding. OH! How I wish that had gone four or five times longer!!
I grew up emulating Warne, but if anyone who's coming closer to him is unarguably Rashid. Warne will always remain a benchmark for leg spinners for generations to come.
Rashid is just a t20 bowler he is nothing in one day cricket where warne is a legend in test and ODI both.. And if you talking about leg spinners then you cant forget Saqlain Mushtaq who teach warne how to spin and Indian magnificent Anil Kumble. Rashid has no big career in One day or test cricket you can see his spin in this video. Where next side warne spins bowl to much on grass

it's not really evolution though, they don't spin the ball nearly as much. The flight and loopy trajectory combined with the spin is what made Warney beautiful to watch and so deadly

It's 2020, and Shane Warne is still good enough to play Test Cricket.
You could see he cant rip that flipper any more. Hes had too much damage and surgeries to that ring finger of his. Line and length was there but look at the difference in movement off the pitch vs the flipper in the replay against Alec Stewart, the knacker turned a country mile off the pitch truly truly disturbing how good Warnie was in his prime. The ol bugger still bowls a mean leggie though

Rashid has a version of leg spin thats more suited to t20.But Shane is pure classic .You cant get test batsman with those faster deliveries. You need drift and spin and bounce to fox a test batsman.
I love how humble these those great players are. I think Rashid is the new age cricket where he gets most reviewed and analyzed befor teams plays against him while in the old days no teams went to disecting every frames of a bowlers action and attack him. Yet Rashid has been very difficult to play.

I really liked him. He did a lot as a mentor and teacher and was always ready to help people. That's what I loved about him. He also appreciated the under appreciated and gave praise when due to each person.
I felt he was a great person to always listen to. One of my favorite memories and videos of his is when he and Rashid Khan came together to make a video in the Big Bash. I've rewatched the video so many times just because of how beautifully they did that live on TV without any planning. It was a great live class and fully natural.

I feel blessed to have witnessed this magician with the ball throughout the 90's & in 2000's. Every ball he bowled was a phenomenon! Whenever he was starting his run up I can sense something gonna happen in the game! He just can create than energy before even delivering the ball! You blink you miss! A TRUE GENIUS of the game! Undoubtedly Rashid is a great bowler of limited over format especially t20i,but in test cricket he become very easy bowler to play because in test one have to reach the ball as close as possible to defend it.But in case of rashid as his bowling speed too much batsmen generally prefer to play inside the crease.In this way they can defend him easily without taking any risk.
