I love this episode so much for so many reasons. But mainly, I love it for the dad at the end who helped save all those lives, even if there was a big chance that his daughter wouldn't get a new lung. There are not many truly selfless people out there nowadays and this made my eyes water. 😢😢😢😢
Probably the best episode created in New Amsterdam, paired with the best song ever written: Promise by Ben Howard. Absolute perfection.
stories like this is what should be happening in the world right now instead of fighting , the destruction ,the war . this is a good example to humanity and it gives me hope that one day we will be united as a whole

Beautiful, beautiful episode. I almost lost it at the scene with the dozen volunteers.
The end of this ep reminds me of Christopher Eccleston's Doctor exclaiming, "Just this once, Rose! Everybody lives!"

As a Yelp Elite reviewer this is one of the greatest programs that I have ever seen the raw emotion and the feelings of what doctors and nurses go through . The famous ly bondpd is he show that shows the true work that doctors do each day to save lives and the lives of children .
The heartfelt work the doctors do to s as ve lives and help many others along the way. The raw emotion this program hold is one that shakes you to the very core to see the many advancements in medicine .

can someone explain to me this chain pls. :'(
each picture is a patient who needed a liver transplant and a family member donating. patient one's family member gave it to patient two, patient two's family member gave it to patient three, and so on until they come full circle and patient one gets thiers. The father comes in when the person who was going to start the chain decides not to, even though his daughter might not get a lung transplant he says he will do it because so many people are willing to donate if they are a match.
