Scenes like THIS are what New Amsterdam is about at its best. Not who gets "shipped." Not dead Georgia. THIS.
I think that's the purpose of why Helen and Max aren't together yet. They wanna focus on the patients, the medicine and not make it about these two or any of the other couples. They shouldve toned down the chemistry on these two though in the beginning because that's what drew me into the show. I saw clips on you tube and was like who are these people? They look like they are in love and then I find out he's married and having a baby and Helen is his colleague and she had a boyfriend and i'm like ok I gotta see where this is going.
This is why Dean Fulton was a great character. So glad he came back for this episode
besides this scene being extraordinary, Ryan's eyes are the best thing I've seen in a looonnnng while. Like damn, never wanted to undress a man that fast.
This was such a powerful scene. I'm really getting concerned about Max. I have a feeling that when the stain on the floor is cleaned up, Georgia will disappear. Just my thoughts.
Yes, I think that Georgia is gone already, when Max's friends shows up at his home and Max looked in at Georgia and she says let them in, that was her cue to let Max know that it was okay to let her go.

The one issue I have about this scene is that until Max's piece at the end it sounded to me like Fulton had made sure that doctor was blacklisted when he got him out of New Amsterdam. The fact that he was still working changes the entire story from one where you could at least sympathize with where Fulton was coming from even though you knew he was wrong

Amazing episode tonight, Vijay and Iggy never ceases to wow me, they're so compassionate and kind. It's so sad that hospitals and businesses conduct themselves in the manner that they do, looking out for their bottom lines, doctors take an oath to do no harm, to bad they don't believe in it.Helen and Max really care about their patients, they have character.
Leaders do this, Leaders do that.
A self-created delusion... This wasn't the hard path, it was the easy one. Throw out the issue, let it bother someone else. Don't overcome the problem, remove it.
Any leader can make the correct choice, but a strong leader makes the right one.

@TanyaBanya I mean should he really be doing the press thing? Or is there any other solution? And I also wonder if that would really happen. Considering his position right now.
Karu Agira I agreed with what Max did, I mean think about it, if they proposed some "money" to the woman, she would have felt like she's being manipulated, like putting money on her mouth to shut her up, but when she got the letter she semt really happy, there is a good chance she doesn't go to court after all we never know, and even if she does, not Max of course, but that surgeon deserves it, even though probably the whole hospital could suffer cause of his act. I mean, it's a life we're talking about, she can't even walk anymore.

These new TV shows are just like older medical dramas. They paint rosy, completely unrealistic pictures of how doctors and administrators work. A fantasy naive audiences slurp up. Let's see, on another episode the oncologist, who is emotionally close to the medical director, can ignore her patient schedule, her hospitalized patients, the tumor board, all so that she can spend a whole day feeding a newborn in the ER. How much further from reality can you get?
