Oh gosh this house’s original floor plan annoys me so much! Especially upstairs, if I remember correctly none of the bedrooms fit a double bed… Anyway yours is much better, especially the big kitchen, I too would love that kitchen in real life. I think last time I redid that house it was for Dina and Brandi, I use it a lot actually. Nice renovation!
Oh this was lovely, you did such a good job on keeping the house's integrity while also freshening it up. I especially love your layout choices; the original layout is horrendous. The upstairs is practically unusable. The "sometimes I surprise myself by using Maxis objects rather than cc" made me laugh because it hit so close to home 😂 I look forward to seeing what you've got planned for this house! You've mentioned wanting to bring in some townie families, but from what you said about wanting to achieve the house through gameplay, I don't think that's what you're planning. Oh! Maybe Gilbert? It seems like a house he could enjoy living in, after living so long with his mum, he might like the traditional style. Anyways, looking forward to seeing it ❤
Thank you Ani!! Haha I know right, like wait, Maxis objects?? With aaaaaaall of my cc? Will wonders never cease 😅 Gilbert is I think pretty happy living his best life in his Downtown apartment and I think dreams more of a fancy penthouse than this house, but I definitely have a family who I can see making that house theirs if they can to the point of affording it!!
Me: I always move the Ottomases into the Hearty Home, I wanna do something different, this one looks big enough. This house: Not big enough Me: Hearty Home it is!
So I have a lighting mod, and I use a lot of what is called neighbourhood deco and also default replacements to change up how the game looks. The neighbourhood deco are things like nicer skies and pretty distant terrain objects that make the hood look nicer. Default replacements for the trees also make a big difference! Along with that, I use modern custom content that I have an addiction to downloading 🙈 There are a couple of great tutorials here on TH-cam on how to make the Sims 2 look more modern and up to date, if you search for "make the Sims 2 looks better" you should find them! From memory I think a creator named CozyPixels has a really good one, also BellaDovah and maybe PleasantSims.
This is so well done! I love the new layout! I wish I was a good builder, all of my houses are rectangles 😂.

I am in Love with all of this custom content!
Yes! I love seeing this type of content! Definately gained a forever sub
I love how it turned out Beth!
looovely! made me miss the sims 2 so so much
"a little half-landing...what would you call that?" I'd call it a traffic jam lmao! I do really enjoy watching your builds
I just turned constrainfloorelevation to false and then levelled everything that needed to be levelled 😊
Mmm I do love mixing and matching kitchen sets! I sometimes get rid of sets that don't have any matchy recolors XD
Building in the sims 4 is a talent in itself but building in sims 2??? That's god like levels of skill
love it! Can't wait to see who you're planning to move there
Beautiful house! 🥰

@@TeaAddict haha exactly! 😂 Ah yeah you're right that would suit Gilbert. I look forward to finding out which family it is 🥰

Hi! What is the light mod you're using? The darker nights are stunning!
Thank you! It's called "Cinema Secrets" lighting mod, if you google that you should find it 😊
I haven't played The Sims 2 since..15 years? x)
I don't remember the graphics to be looking that realistic, did you use a certain mod?
