    Thank God for your video. I think my 2013 Kodiak has a blown piston. I might need to tear into it.

    Were you planning to replace the con rod , if not, I really hate seeing someone hammer it sideways to remove a piston pin

    How were you able to jam the gears so it doesn’t spin when taking off the recoil cup and crank cover

      Any impact makes this job easier. Otherwise, depending on what stage you are in you can hold the piston/crank. What area are you rebuilding?

    I'm reassembling the head do u know torque specs for the four longs and the one bottom 2 tops Allen by any way .

    in early 2000s why did Yamaha intuduce a liquid cooled 421cc kodaik/grizzly/wolverine that has the same power ?

    I need help my 02 big bear 400 I rebuilt top end and my cam sprocket is off half degree when installed with tensioner I didnt notice this before rebuild as I bought it and was smoking so I immediately tore it down any ideas do I have it 180° out? I tried setting it retarded but still out either way

    I love how in 95% of the world its called something, but to get in the US market they have to call it KODIAK, like the japanese would call it something american ;)

    I was curious is there really two different types of Yamaha Kodiak 400 engines because I see this one your working on is a air-cooled engine and mine I have is a 01 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 and mine is liquid cooled not air-cooled
