    The Eachine 400mm wingspan line is amazing. Eachine if your listening a Zero, a spitfire and an Focke-Wulf 190 would be great! I have helped several people join the hobby by letting them fly my P51 or Corsair. My neighbor purchased a P51 just off my enthusiasm for these planes. I custom paint my models and when I fly with others I can always tell which one is mine. Great planes!

    • @adamdennis5249
      @adamdennis5249 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I would definitely like too see what these would look like in different paint schemes. I may buy multiple P51s and Corsairs for this reason.

    I have been flying that little P-51 for a year and I like it so much that I just bought another one. The one I've had for a year has held up very well and I've made some repairs and it's still flies like new but that might end up being my parts plane. I have a tip that some people might appreciate. I find that in grass when those props snap off they can be hard to find. I have actually lost a couple of propellers that way. So when I ordered more propellers I painted them yellow. That way as I'm walking toward the plane it's really easy to spot where the prop landed.

  • @kendrickh91
    @kendrickh91 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You did not tell a single lie. I actually watched one of your videos a couple of weeks back on these. I was in the market for a nice beginner plane (being that I'm a new flyer.) Something pretty cool looking without going through the club plane phase. I have the P51, and that little beast is awesome. In beginner mode, it's almost too easy to fly. I love it!!!!!

  • @davidsapir3764
    @davidsapir3764 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Your review is so spot on. Amazon has them for $129.99 with two flight batteries. Worth every penny. Yes at this price point you're getting a barebones transmitter but it works really well and the plane is very tough. Love that simple propeller reattachment design. Even though I've been flying for years the beginner mode is so satisfying and chill, and flight times are surprisingly long.

    Ok...just bought the P51; I already have the Corsair!! I've never flown a plane & I want to ask my brother (retired commercial pilot) to go fly with me, give me advice, etc. But if I went with him & only ONE plane...he would HOG IT and not let me fly!! (Sharing issue all my life!!) So wish me luck!! 💟👍😘

    The P51 is what gave me the RC bug. I was hooked instantly. The real beauty of these are the 100% stress free feeling, because other than losing a prop you just CANT damage it. I fly at a dog park and one of our Spaniels "retrieved" it and refused to surrender it for 45 minutes. It still flies just fine.

    5:30 FYI, AMA is secondary insurance after your home or renters insurance. Meaning your home or renters insurance liability, usually $100k or more, pays first. Once all that's gone, then the AMA pays.

  • @baerster

    I absolutely love my p-51. My only complaints have to do with the customer service and. There's a long wait for new parts coming from china. Some of the replacement parts are a bit pricey. And I wish I could buy just the airplane without the radio, so that if there was ever a really bad crack up or my plane got lost in a tall tree I could buy a new one without having to buy the whole set. But still I am thankful that so many replacement parts are still available for these little guys. They're fantastic planes! Lately I have been getting up extra early in the morning just so I can fly mine before work.

    I flew by new Eachine P51 Mustang today for the first time and it's amazing! So much fun and it flies so well! In my opinion it's the best way to get into the hobby. Just watch your air speed. It tip stalls viciously if you turn to hard at low speeds. The snap off prop feature has already saved mine a few times. Just brilliant. I'm seriously thinking of getting the little jet next.
    Love your videos. They're great! Keep up the great work that you do. Cheers from Australia.

  • @johntartaro2509

    I was wondering what your final aircraft was going to be and I agree with your selection. Eachine Warbirds = Awesome Fun.... I have all 3 Eachine warbirds and 2 Jets (P-51 Mustang, F4U Coursair, T-28 Trojan, F-22 Raptor and the new F-16 Falcon). The jets are faster than the warbirds and a blast to fly. Although all these RC planes come with transmitters, I have the RadioMaster TX16S which I have programmed to fly all five aircraft and that includes the skill level switch and acrobatic switch. So when I just want to go out qucikly and fly a couple of these plane, i just have one transmitter to take. Good review Nate....

    Good point about the liability insurance except you have to remember, the AMA insurance is a secondary policy, a pilots homeowner insurance would be the primary if an accident would occur, so it's pro or con if one needs to join AMA especially if they are flying at a non chartered flying site and they are covered by their primary provider......

    I reckon that the prop snaps off because they're small enough that the landing gear is optional? I don't know, for me the Sport Cub is small enough. We (or my cousin) gotten mine down! Sure I lost that battery, I'll try to charge it but it's probably gone. They looked good in the air though.

    I love your videos, I just maiden flew my corsair and it was awesome! by far the longest flight of my life and maiden voyage including several crash avoidance's in beginner mode. second flight, I got "brave", i allowed it to go up high, oops, some kind of thermal and wind took it for a ride, no matter what i did, i could not bring it back. it got so high and far away, that I could barely see it. i watched it fly beautify away from me. Come back! when it went so far away that i lost sight of it, i cut the throttle and jumped in my 67 El Camino to go find it. I encountered some good ol boys who fell in love with my awesome car and were eager to help look for my brand new favorite little blue plane ever. after I described what i was looking for, "Bam" said hey is that it over there? yep! thats it! a mile and a half away and perfect! prop still on! im so happy because i thought i would never find it and i love it now so much. plus i met three great new friends, Pat, Paul and Bam.

    Saylors, I have a question about the batteries in the radio. I am very impressed with the range of these things. I can get my little p51 so high in the air that it is a tiny Dot and I just have to cut the power and let it drift back down so I can see it again. And the radio is still controlling the plane the whole time. But I have wondered what would happen if the batteries in my radio were to get a bit weak while my plane is really far away. Could I lose my plane that way. So I wonder do you recommend any ways to test the batteries in your radio? Like if I have a multitester should I replace the batteries if they get below a certain voltage?

    Question- Is RTR or RTF the standard in RC hobby or building a kit still popular? I started with a Tamiya kit back in the 1980s and it still runs. I am thinking about getting back into the hobby and was just wondering what is the way to go?

    Great video!
    Out from the family of those mini Eachine planes, I like both P51D and T28 are great flyer, but due to the big tricycle wheels of the T28, sometime it does have some cons in windy condition. However, it is can provide a much much better on landing with those big wheels.
    Additionally, I do love to fly the Sport Cub 500 as well, especially with it's high wing characteristic, it can fly real slow and great for maneuver, in expert mode :-)
    Do have the F-22 and F-16 as well, a fun flyer but not as easy handling as the above - not for beginners.
    Ranger 400 and Ranger 600 are quite ok, flying like a glider for the Ranger 600. However, it is a little under power, if under strong wind condition :-p
    By the way, all my family of Eachine Mini Planes are bind with the RadioMaster TX16S :-)

    This is probably a dumb question but how do you keep your plane flying close to the groun

    • @geraldfer
      @geraldfer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey Gordon... that's a control issue as in...comfortability. Your remote levers can allow you to go to ground....then throttle and elevation for height...and fly to your own comfort level. its right in your hands...balance out the controller between power and height... you'll be fine🤜🤛✌

  • @cheeseballs9726

    Idk if it matters that much to flight but I’ve noticed some mini mustangs (by eachine, Volantex, and Leambe and their all the same) have green “hoods” (people like Kevin Talbot) while others like yours have plain grey. Is there a quality difference?
