at right before 11:50, that is some of the best footage of a stall ever caught on film. The slow motion (using youtube slow mo) reveals that the angle of attack was increasing. and then the wing lost lift. This is a true study of the anatomy of a stall. cudos! great job catching that on film

Hi from UK. Thanks guys for getting me back into RC flying after 45 years. Used to make and fly balsa planes in my youth but I was the world's worst pilot (world division) and eventually sold up to buy my wife's engagement ring!! Now I have four of the Eachine models on your recommendation and they are such fun and easy to fly. I've started putting Eachine bricks in some kit models and using the original transmitters, these have the full stabilization - brilliant!! Keep up the good work - love your unbiased opinions and pat Popeye for me.
I smashed my Sport Cub S into the pavement a couple weeks ago. I thought I was getting good at flying and I was getting after it. Low altitude and in SAFE mode, but I was flying around my little cul de sac. I stay low out there so I'm not over people or their stuff. :) Somehow, just the foam broke under the prop (prop and shaft are still fine) and the motor mount broke out of its spot. I glued it back down and it flies great. I heart this hobby. :)

I'd love to see a Budget PNP week, for those of us with the radios. There are some fantastic planes under $100, and $200 from manufacturers other than e-flite, although the UMX line from e-flite is pretty awesome too, but most have been reviewed to death. I'd like to see you and Abby fly the RMRC Recruit(s). They might be the best plane you can buy under $100.

Love the video, finally able to fly today as the wind gust dropped to 18, been 30mph. Flew my favorite economy RC, the UMX Turbo Timber.
Thats a great trainer, it has all the control surfaces including flaps.
I love my UMX Turbo Timber! The lights are awesome! I've crashed mine so many times and somehow it still flies.
I'd love to see this flying in calmer conditions!

So funny, the original PH-LUU, a white and orange Cessna 172, had some issues with stability as well. You can find pictures when you Google the registration.

Hi: I believe that at 11:55, it was a stall that caused the catastrophic failure, no? it really did look like a stall, where the wing seemed to have lost all its lift. I believe it was cuased by too hihg of an angle of attack and not enough power. The angle of attack was too hgih I believe.
yeah, it was a stall, high wings like the cesna will stall and roll like that when not coordinated. if you use alerions in a stall like that you will spin, not 100% on RC aerodynamics but if he had used rubber/thottle you could hover it forever, you are correct though! - pilot irl :)
Again you did not follow instructions for return to home ! Once activated and you take off, you cancelled return to home when you pressed trim buttons before pressing "return to home". I never miss any of your videos, lots of fun!!!

I bought one of these and flew it about 6 times. It started flying a little more squirrelly and then the motor would cut out and would only work when given a “push”. Thought I had burned the brushes but it turns out it is the board. The esc/power management died really quickly. Motor/gearbox works fine in another plane. Buyer beware.

I think the plane on a calm day would have given a pretty impressive flight. It looks like the battery lasted over 10 minutes. Eachine/Volantex does a great job gearing up those tiny motors.
The one button return is supposed to return the plane the opposite of whatever direction you initially launched it, but honestly I've never found one of these planes that can get far enough away that you'd need that, and the transmitter has really good range. Give me the pre-programmed stunt button instead!
@@theoztreecrasher2647 The only really bad plane I've bought was the Volantex 768-1 P-51 700mm(?) It looks great, but the stabilization was very poorly calibrated and it dolphins like crazy no matter what changes I make. The ailerons also seem to have no effect despite their working fine mechanically, and it only steers with rudder. I'm sure I just got a bad one because the reviews are very good. But that has put me off buying anything with the Volantex brand. On top of that ordering parts from China is a pain. I waited 7 weeks for props.

I was flying my blade 330s in a 15-16 mph wind, the weather app said it was suppose to be a 10 mph wind and the heli handled it with no problems. Let's see a helicopter week, please.

That price did surprise me, compared to the 'War Birds' at 75.ish

I bought this and has not flown yet. It came with an extra prop but the gear on the prop shaft broke first. Then the gear fell off the motor shaft. I still have a spare prop because it won't fly without gears.

Not sure about UK AMA. Wind meter? We should. I guess it is just a balancing act. If we didn't have other responsibilities like our two year old daughter, Popeye, life, etc.. there are So Many things I'd like to do in our videos. So short answer: Time 👍😁😎⚓

bought this plane and have yet be able to fly at all. I flies like extremely tail heavy. There is a weight (or something that rattles and slides forward and back) inside the the rear section of the fuselage which seems strange to me. How can the plane ever have a consistent CG with that happening? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Lol, you forgot to take your extra battery out of the tail. It’s hidden in there during shipment
@@zanderbrandt1730 I thought about that but I bought the 2 battery option and I got 2 batteries. Going to figure it out if I have to cut a access hole in the bottom.
@@zanderbrandt1730 So after your reply I said "fu*k it" and cut a access hole in the bottom of the fuselage and there was indeed a battery in there. So I got 3 batteries (not what I ordered but ok). My question is this: How was I supposed to get that battery out without cutting?????
