Finnaly a good youtuber WHO show you How to rebuild dirtbike stuff btw Im working on a aprillia 125cc 2 stroke so thanks for giving some tips How to rebuild btw you are the best (sorry for bad english in from Finland so)
This video came in handy tonight. My boys and I are rebuilding the carbs on our 06 and 07 Yamaha yz450f dirtbikes. These are the same carbs we have. Thank you again...we subscribe and enjoy your videos!
We use the ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning the precleaned carburator housing and the jets. The small holes get free after that treatment and blowing out. The carburator works like new and is easy to adjust. Perhaps you try. Thank you for the nice vids.
Hey Cameron! I'm back again, to learn some more from you, and another one of your fantastic videos. THANK YOU! This time, we're just preparing to do our final assembly on a new CRF250X Supermoto for my son this weekend! Our bike is fully disassembled right now and we're just about finished cleaning the frame; using your wash/scrub method and the Eagle mag wheel cleaner you turned us on to! We'll be taking our bike's carb apart, rebuilding it, and installing a jet kit-so this video is going to be a BIG HELP in that process. As always, your videos are fun, clear, smart, well-produced and easy to follow. Even us old motorcycle dogs can learn new tricks from you! Well done, again. Take care, Bro.
Omg, super awesome video! Such valuable content, it's crazy! With this, i now have to confidence to rip apart my crf Carbs... This video will break 1 million views one day. Thanks a million Cameron!!!
You saved me many additional headaches by mentioning the slide and plate. Just made the same mistake. Instead of breaking the whole carb down again I flipped the plate and my problem was solved!
I recently just purchased a 2002 Yamaha Wr426F it started once and I haven’t been able to start it I’ve never owned a dirt bike or motorcycle before or have any experience with bikes so this was kinda scary for me but I was able to rebuild it and have it running in less than an hour your video was very informative thank you so much !
Wish you had put this video out a couple years ago, I spent a couple days trying to figure out why I put on the plate on the slide upside down. Thanks for the great content.
Seriously, your videos have become priceless to me. I'm amazed that this content is something I can get for free to help me work on my CRF450X. Thank you!
Thank u so much you just saved me from spending a lot of money I love u so much I had idle hang on my wr250f I tried everything to fix it and It was the throttle body slide plate it was upside down😂 thank u again😁👌
Amazing video, meticulous way of rebuilt, great explainations, wonderfull details on video, and always filmed with joy and happiness, it's so fine, Thanks Cameron !
Brilliant as always cam. Would be nice to see you do another one of these explaning the mid body gasket on the fcr it's always overlooked and is a major cause of issues on these carbs 👍
Hey, before your big 100,000- 200,000 subscriber break, please don’t change and become useless and too caught up in fame like Braydon Price or 3D Machines, don’t get me wrong, I love both, but they’re too mainstream and you’re more down to earth and relatable, good luck, thanks for quality content!
I've noticed in some of your previous videos that you use an electric pressure washer, cleaning up frames for example, is there a certain brand you would recommend over others for your typical rider that isn't in the market for a gas-powered washer? Great content as well! Awesome to see another Washington State rider/mechanic!!
I just noticed that you put the AP Diaphragm back in wrong.... 1:59 is when you took it out and 10:57 is when you reinstalled it... I'm sure you figured that out later though. This video helped me tear down my first FCR in 2020.
I don't think my eyes were deceiving me when I saw you remove that fuel mixture screw and the metal flat washer was outside of the little rubber o-ring 1:51 . Videos always shows to install the spring, the metal washer and then the o-ring. Did I see that correctly?
It's not the genius part of the equation. It's the ability to follow instructions!! AND you are only as good as the tool collection you possess! It's the lack of tools that will make a job seem and look so difficult.
Hopefully I get some advice. I rebuild the whole carb and cleaned it for my yz450f. Before it would leak from the carb over flow tube (the one at the bottom of the float bowl) constantly when I had the gas turned on. And still does this even after a full rebuild. Any advice? Thank you
Do you remember what bike that is off? I noticed it has a screw and washer to retain the float valve seat like mine from an '03 CRF450R. I thought the CRF FCRs had a pressed on seat. Great job Cam!
Another excellent video. All of your stuff is so detailed and explained. I really feel like I could do it with your help and this video. Thank you Is there any special instruction for the idol screw,or just screw it in until it stops. Also any experience with the 32mm CRF150RB cabs. I have a 2020 that is so hard to get right.
When installing them cute transparent color matching rubber 1/4" vent hoses that appear to be too small to fit over your NIPPLES, just heat up a coffee cup with at least 1/4 full of water in it for about 1 minute and a half in the microwave to a near boil ( that is tuff rubber). Next while next to your carb and hoses, drop one end of the hose into the water and let sit for at least 60 seconds. Once you pull it out, swing the end quickly to fling the water out of the hose( if you use an air compressor to blow it out, the hose probably cooled too much). Now the hose should be soft enough to easily fit over your carb vent nipples!! Everything was so nice and tight and I didn't have clamps so I didn't use any. Take your time and have patience. If you don't have a microwave or a stove, use your campfire tins LOL...Then neon green ones on my KX250F look awesome!!..... Enjoy.
Awesome photography as usual Cameron and really easy to follow. Best carby vid I've seen. Hope all is going well with you. I've been riding Yamaha 4/s of late but really turned on by the power that these new 2/s are putting out. HAVE TO GET ONE I THINK! Whats your go to 2 / bike? Dave from NZ 😀
I really like the informational video I am a tech and have been thinking about making a channel myself recording all the bikes I work on...your fuel screw assembly was in wrong though I'm not sure if it was someone else or you that out it in there last but the washer and o-ring go in the reverse order it goes screw washer o-ring in that order on every single car wether it be an air screw or fuel screw it doesn't change
How to rebuild a 4 stroke carb: Step 1. Take the Carb off the bike. Step 2. Drain all the gas out of it. Step 3. Throw it into the garbage. Step 4. Get a 2 stroke carb. Step 5. Put it on a 2 stroke bike.
ken geerts TRUE DAT!!!! But we can use them to pollute the air around us and kill all the beneficial bugs!! Bahahahahahahahahaha Two cycle twat wads LOL!!!!!!!
When the fuel screw is initially removed is it me or is the washer and oring is out of sequence? It looks like it's metal washer, o ring then spring. Thanks Cameron.
its very importand to check the freaking O-Ring between the upper and lower Carb. removing the torx-screws and u will get it. old carbs often suffering from the bad gas nowadays and getting into the tiny holes
What type of cleaner do you use for the carb to get the grime off...also thx for being so detailed and precise with ur vids trying to fix up my 04 rmz250 ur stuff has helped a lot for sure...please respond with any tips or tricks to get my bike running again👍🏼 best of luck I’ll be subscribing too!!
Brilliantly clear pics of reassembly.. However, you need to edit with some text during the accelerator pump diaphragm install "Its installed the wrong way, the nipple should be uppermost"
i fucking love u man had my plate backwards was that way when i pulled it down so assumed put it back the same way oh man cant wait to try this now and try get my wr250f running right i love u dude no homo xoxoxo subbed for life
your patience level is amazing I'd be cursing to every god of every religion then praying to all of them for help finishing before losing my sanity..... lol

You reinstalled the accelerator pump diaphragm in the wrong direction. Great video
I noticed this as well. Thanks for the comment - Flipped mine before putting it back in the bike - Cameron, this video is priceless~ Thanks
OOF
You saved me many additional headaches by mentioning the slide and plate. Just made the same mistake. Instead of breaking the whole carb down again I flipped the plate and my problem was solved!
I gotta take mine out and flip that plate. Seems weird that it goes in that way
I recently just purchased a 2002 Yamaha Wr426F it started once and I haven’t been able to start it I’ve never owned a dirt bike or motorcycle before or have any experience with bikes so this was kinda scary for me but I was able to rebuild it and have it running in less than an hour your video was very informative thank you so much !
Wish you had put this video out a couple years ago, I spent a couple days trying to figure out why I put on the plate on the slide upside down. Thanks for the great content.
you do such amzing cleaning job, wish i had all those resources to keep my bike looking brand new!
Seriously, your videos have become priceless to me. I'm amazed that this content is something I can get for free to help me work on my CRF450X. Thank you!
Awesome vid, took mine apart forgot where one screw went but figured it out as soon as I watched this. Cheers and thanks
Thank u so much you just saved me from spending a lot of money I love u so much I had idle hang on my wr250f I tried everything to fix it and It was the throttle body slide plate it was upside down😂 thank u again😁👌
It really helped me, thank you so much i have the same problem with the plates upper side down and all the tricks congratulations from venezuela
Your tutorial vids are the best on net . Keep up the good work
Cameron seu video me salvou ,estava com uma crf-250 r com problemas de lenta e estava invertida a peça do pistonete do acelerador.
Thanks for the input/hard work/dedication. Figured out where i screwed up by thinking while watching ur vid.
Dude you saved me a lot of trouble. Had my slide upside down and couldn’t figure it out. Thanks and keep up the good videos!
I’m gonna be taking on this project soon!! Just bought my first dirt bike
Thanks.

Helped a lot saved me money thanks man great explaining

Love your videos! Please never stop making ‘em. 🤙
I've noticed in some of your previous videos that you use an electric pressure washer, cleaning up frames for example, is there a certain brand you would recommend over others for your typical rider that isn't in the market for a gas-powered washer?
Great content as well! Awesome to see another Washington State rider/mechanic!!
Thanks! I use a Ryobi 1800 PSI one from Home Depot
I ride a Crf450x it’s got a ton of power! Aye I really enjoy your videos man keep up the good work!
amazing video thank you so much for the high quality and precession
The info on the slide was great. Did you replace the 3 main gaskets and 2 o-rings or did you reuse them. Thanks.
Thanks for your help Cameron
I just rebuilt my daughters 2007 crf150r
Sei sempre il n1
Very nice job! I am currently doing this on my 2009 KTM 450 XCF and this is most helpful. Thanks! Cecil D. New Mexico
I just noticed that you put the AP Diaphragm back in wrong.... 1:59 is when you took it out and 10:57 is when you reinstalled it... I'm sure you figured that out later though. This video helped me tear down my first FCR in 2020.
Best video ever!! Keep on Cameron!!!
Thank you for making this video!
Absolutely brilliant
I know this is a few years old now but it was still a good watch. Great job. BTW, for FCR's the R&D Flex Jet air screw is a very good mod for $30.
I don't think my eyes were deceiving me when I saw you remove that fuel mixture screw and the metal flat washer was outside of the little rubber o-ring 1:51 . Videos always shows to install the spring, the metal washer and then the o-ring. Did I see that correctly?
your brain worth 10 billion dollars for me.Anyone agree?
It's not the genius part of the equation. It's the ability to follow instructions!! AND you are only as good as the tool collection you possess! It's the lack of tools that will make a job seem and look so difficult.
Thanks Cameron..your video it.s so helpful, great job and good things from Romania 🤗
Thanks for the tip in the slide, an easy mistake to make!
I have gas pouring out of those 2 little holes from the intake side. Any ideas? You can see it pretty good at 9:12 Great vid btw
Hopefully I get some advice. I rebuild the whole carb and cleaned it for my yz450f. Before it would leak from the carb over flow tube (the one at the bottom of the float bowl) constantly when I had the gas turned on. And still does this even after a full rebuild. Any advice? Thank you
Mine did the same thing. Did you figure out the problem?
Awesome result Cameron...would you know if CRF450 carburettor can be used as upgrade for XR600R?
Where to begin . . . thanks for saving my bacon, bro - very clear video. Any trouble with the throttle position sensor at the end?
Thanks!
Do you remember what bike that is off? I noticed it has a screw and washer to retain the float valve seat like mine from an '03 CRF450R. I thought the CRF FCRs had a pressed on seat. Great job Cam!
Really loved the video. Am in process of rebuilding a flat cr carburetor on a yamaha yfz 450 raptor. Thanks.
Why didnt you remove and clean the float needle assembly there is a plastic filter under there that has to be clean to
at 1:51you have washer, oring (badly squashed) and spring
at 11:32 you have oring, washer and spring => correct
cheers
great video but why you didn't check the fuel pump gap? and an oring mod would be awesome too!
Another excellent video. All of your stuff is so detailed and explained. I really feel like I could do it with your help and this video. Thanks so much man. This was so well done and so helpful.
Would be nice to know what each parts do:)
It would be perfect if you had also made a video of how the hoses of that carburetor are connected to which places they are directed.
My plate is upside down like you stated but runs pretty good, should i still flip it?
I really like the informational video I am a tech and have been thinking about making a channel myself recording all the bikes I work on...your fuel screw assembly was in wrong though I'm not sure if it was someone else or you that out it in there last but the washer and o-ring go in the reverse order it goes screw washer o-ring in that order on every single car wether it be an air screw or fuel screw it doesn't change
Great video! How much torque are you supposed to apply to the choke when installing? Thank you ahead of time
I've packed up my carb and it's on it's way to you for a bath and rebuild buddy!! Much appreciated!! LOL
Awesome video. Thanks
Awesome video. Exactly what I needed! Thank you very much. I will Subscribe for sure.

How to rebuild a 4 stroke carb:
Step 1. Take the Carb off the bike.
Step 2. Drain all the gas out of it.
Step 3. Throw it into the garbage.
Step 4. Get a 2 stroke carb.
Step 5. Put it on a 2 stroke bike.
Opferman Motors Dirtbiking haha agreed
Opferman Motors Dirtbiking 2 stroke are trash
ken geerts TRUE DAT!!!! But we can use them to pollute the air around us and kill all the beneficial bugs!! Bahahahahahahahahaha Two cycle twat wads LOL!!!!!!!
YES LOOLLLOL
Do you have a vid on doing crank seals on two smoker
When the fuel screw is initially removed is it me or is the washer and oring is out of sequence? It looks like it's metal washer, o ring then spring. Thanks Cameron.
Is there an o ring for the hot start and or choke?
Awesome job sir
How far did you screw in the idle adjustment screw?
Thx a bunch for your vids!
Is this same carb used on a Yamaha WRF450? Looks just like it.
How about the mid body gaskets? Those tend to go bad with ethanol.
Took mine apart and rebuilt it but Mine is now hard starting. Do you think I may have the slide backwards.
On those fcr carburetors which direction does the O-ring on the slide go
The Excelerator pump you have installed your spring facing out I installed my spring facing in have I done it wrong?
its very importand to check the freaking O-Ring between the upper and lower Carb. removing the torx-screws and u will get it. old carbs often suffering from the bad gas nowadays and getting into the tiny holes
Why did you put the rubber band of the accelerating pump upside down?
Thanks for all the tips I’m working on a 07 kx450f I lost the throttle box cover Allen bult got any spare on the web site?
Do you not have to rotate your throttle pulley and spring one full rotation counter clockwise before you put it back in?
Is that a yes or no?
Do you know where I can buy a replacement accelerator pump nozzle for this carb?
What kind of grease should be used for the pulley bearings?
Well done. This is my job and I still found your vid. Interesting Cheers
I use 3M silicone paster on all o rings and gaskets.
Top vid as always bro 👌
What type of cleaner do you use for the carb to get the grime off...also thx for being so detailed and precise with ur vids trying to fix up my 04 rmz250 ur stuff has helped a lot for sure...please respond with any tips or tricks to get my bike running again👍🏼 best of luck I’ll be subscribing too!!
I just went through the carb on my 1981 yamaha xt200 today and God damn is it simple compared to the 450r carb
Brilliantly clear pics of reassembly.. However, you need to edit with some text during the accelerator pump diaphragm install "Its installed the wrong way, the nipple should be uppermost"
Awsome work bro.
I usually blow compressed air threw the jets and then blow air from my mouth threw them to make sure they aren't blocked.
Can you help me out with the TPS sensor adjustment. Gary in Millsap Tx.
Cameron all my wheels on my throttle slide fall off. Is this bad?
I should have asked what year the CRF450r was?
i fucking love u man had my plate backwards was that way when i pulled it down so assumed put it back the same way oh man cant wait to try this now and try get my wr250f running right i love u dude no homo xoxoxo subbed for life
great video, but you forget about the float valve. threre is a filter and a washer. i nad problem with IT so that i know now xd
your patience level is amazing I'd be cursing to every god of every religion then praying to all of them for help finishing before losing my sanity..... lol
