This Honda CRF450 carburetor needed a few replacement parts and a detail cleaning. It's pretty amazing how many parts there are to a 4 stroke carb compared to it's simple 2 stroke counterpart.

We use the ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning the precleaned carburator housing and the jets. The small holes get free after that treatment and blowing out. The carburator works like new and is easy to adjust. Perhaps you try. Thank you for the nice vids.

Hey Cameron! I'm back again, to learn some more from you, and another one of your fantastic videos. THANK YOU! This time, we're just preparing to do our final assembly on a new CRF250X Supermoto for my son this weekend! Our bike is fully disassembled right now and we're just about finished cleaning the frame; using your wash/scrub method and the Eagle mag wheel cleaner you turned us on to! We'll be taking our bike's carb apart, rebuilding it, and installing a jet kit-so this video is going to be a BIG HELP in that process. As always, your videos are fun, clear, smart, well-produced and easy to follow. Even us old motorcycle dogs can learn new tricks from you! Well done, again. Take care, Bro.

When installing them cute transparent color matching rubber 1/4" vent hoses that appear to be too small to fit over your NIPPLES, just heat up a coffee cup with at least 1/4 full of water in it for about 1 minute and a half in the microwave to a near boil ( that is tuff rubber). Next while next to your carb and hoses, drop one end of the hose into the water and let sit for at least 60 seconds. Once you pull it out, swing the end quickly to fling the water out of the hose( if you use an air compressor to blow it out, the hose probably cooled too much). Now the hose should be soft enough to easily fit over your carb vent nipples!! Everything was so nice and tight and I didn't have clamps so I didn't use any. Take your time and have patience. If you don't have a microwave or a stove, use your campfire tins LOL...Then neon green ones on my KX250F look awesome!!..... Enjoy.

How to rebuild a 4 stroke carb:
Step 1. Take the Carb off the bike.
Step 2. Drain all the gas out of it.
Step 3. Throw it into the garbage.
    Step 4. Get a 2 stroke carb.
Step 5. Put it on a 2 stroke bike.

Is it just me or did the airscrew have the incorrect stack up when it was pulled out? I think the correct stack up on the screw is spring, flat washer and then o-ring. This one came out spring o-ring and then flat washer.

4:15 I made the same mistake. Bike had low compression. Bike ran like shit.
I stumbled on this video. When and turn it around. Bike ran great again. 02 crf450r.

Why don't you disassemble the part between the bottom float and the two manifolds ? I've done it and the joint in there was in a really bad shape.
