Crystal Mall Waterford CT Drone Flyover (21 Dec 2023)

A drone flyover of the Crystal Mall in Waterford CT. Like many malls in America, this one is nearly defunct. This video was shot a few days before Christmas (albeit around 0930 hours, 1/2 hour prior to opening). However, the dearth of employee cars indicates that not too many stores are still open. I walked through the mall in spring of 2023, there were only a handful of people in the mall and many shuttered storefronts.

Good morning Mr. Rocket, Ron here. I was also at the Crystal Mall this weekend taking pictures. Did you go in? Santa was set up in the Sears wing, that whole part of the mall smelled like sewage. Someone was there shampooing rugs, maybe something backed up? It's too bad because the architecture and feel of that mall is awesome. Have to make to Eastfield this weekend, last time I was there they were knocking down the Sears wing ......

I didn't go inside that day. I used to go to Crystal Mall a lot when I lived in the era (1983-2002). I have a lot of demo videos of Eastfield Mall. Sears is remaining, it is not part of the mall (separately owned).
