Wow. Finally a TH-cam video of games I've "never seen before" that actually delivers. I was a huge PS2 guy and I hadn't even seen the cases for one of these games before.
Cheers. The PS2 is still a great console. I look for games that I've never seen before and try and experience them for the first time. Hopefully I'll find some more.
@@SirDankleberry Yes, but the Wellrod was 100% self contained and purpose built to be a suppressed weapon 100% of the time. It's not the same as slapping a "suppresser/silencer" on the end of a revolver. The open chamber (where the cartridges are loaded) still allows for gas (from the round being fired) to escape even when suppressed. Meaning it made for a VERY poor discrete weapon.
Always love testing my knowledge on massive libraries such as the PS2's. 2 out of 5 games I hadn't heard of or seen until you brought them to my attention is rather impressive so good on ya!
I miss 2008 , 2009 , the best time of my life . My PS2 , at home alone all afternoon , I could play whatever I wanted . The sixth generation is absolutely amazing.
Cold Winter... 15 point rendering. After the first level, they unlock the dismembering mechanic. Offline split screen with bots. Highly customizable...Supply Crafting. Worth the view just for a reminder of my good old days, offline, in a cabin in the woods.
I have Cold Winter. It's one of my favorite PS2 shooters. One day I was showing a friend my collection and he had never heard of it. It's definitely a hidden gem.
Cold Winter is really good in my opinion, I've always considered it to be a hidden gem. It's definitely worth a further look. It just kind of got lost in the shuffle of game releases I suppose. I remember liking Hidden Invasion even though I knew it was crap haha
it's a good game mixed from lots of games imo. I really like it. It's not quite as polished as same Spyro , but still good. Also available on the Gamecube I've recently discovered. 👍
I'm all for unknown ps2 games too, the demo discs are very great for this that's how i found my favorite games, like ratchet, klonoa, jak and daxter, dark cloud and more recently rez, absolutely amazing game and got me stuck in my chair wondering what i just witnessed lol thanks for the video, gonna add some of these to my shopping list next time i get new ps2 games
Thanks for the comment. PS2 has an amazing library and even today amazes me how many I didn't see back in the day. Klonoa is one of my favourite games to this day.. Cheers
Scaler and Cold Winter, I've got both of those. I've played a bit of Scaler, it's a decent Ratchet and Clank clone. Cold Winter is sitting on the backlog. I'd love to visit Doorway to Dorkness, but living in Glasgow, it's a bit of a trek 😂 Nice to see a fellow old boy PS2 fan on TH-cam 😎👍
I managed to run WWII Soldier on a PS2 emulator at stable 60FPS by overclocking my virtual PS2’s CPU by 300%. Now I can call it playable :) Got interested in these games after watching your video. By the way, the latter is made by the same devs behind SAS/GSG9/GIGN Anti-Terror Force. Nice retro gaming content, btw. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your videos and listening to your stories.
Thanks very much. I'm always on the look out for games I've not seen before. As an older gamer I tend to think that I've seen them all, but there's always a surprise in the works and it's nearly always enjoyable. Thanks for you comment
I think there's probably a delay in the controls because you're playing a standard definition console on a HD lcd tv. If you play it on a CRT you should notice an improvement in the controls.
Dude, you seem like a dope person! Thanks for your entertaining video! I just *SUBSCRIBED* and *BELL* notification your channel. Keep up the great work!
Great video made me laugh when you said i don't like McDonald's then yiu started rambling 😊 err talking about McDonald's then you say i like going early in the morning 😅 You unlike others have showed me unknown games there's also fugitive hunter and fireblade check it out. only one i heard was cold winter its good. also didnt hear any foul language so i can share it.

This is insane - I got recommended this video and thought I recognized you 😅 I've spoken to you before a few times in that now closed local games store. Crazy! Anyway good to see the vids done well, I'll sub to see more 👍
Hi mate how's it going? Small world. Are you talking Andys shop? Shame that went. Are you still buying games? If so have you been to Doorway 2 Dorkness in Doncaster? An amazing place for gaming. Thanks for the sub, appreciate it. Loads more to come.
@@retrogamingmoviemad yep that's the one. I know right, crazy! And yeah I still buy games, mainly across PlayStation. I haven't been before but I've seen videos of it, looks like a great little shop. Do you collect a bit of everything still or are you trying to do another purge lol.
Cold winter has a sick gore , shooting enemies is absolutely satisfying, you can almost feel the impact of the bullets . Poor plot , but good action game
Scaler is pretty derivative, but has decent controls, fun for Platformer fans. Never heard of any of the others, but Stolen and Cold Winter look like they might be alright.
It's on the Gamecube as well. I've yet to play it on that platform, but I think yo are right, late to the party. edit, just looked it up, came out 2004
Stolen made it to Game magazines i believe. These sort of cheap games made it to certain warehouses but not to actual game stores where people just know what they want. I did buy Knight Rider 1 and 2 for the PS2 for nostalgia reasons.
The mission briefing screen/chapter prologue from the first game WW2 shooter looks almost EXACTLY like the mission briefing screen from another obscure ps2 game about WW2 called ‘Combat elite:paratrooper’… like I’m pretty sure one game just stole from the other hahaha
Just the name WWII Soldier lmao it’s indicative of a crap game, it’s almost got a layer of irony over it because people these days have sadly relegated ww2 soldiers to just “video game characters”
Very true fella. I like to look for games that I haven't seen on any channel and that one fitted the bill. Doubt I'll ever play it properly which is a shame really.
I bought a Japanese PS2 just to play Sailor Moon. Well I got a couple others, but it turned out one was renamed in The West. But it was cheaper than converting one to region free.😅
There's some bargains to be had shopping for Japanese games isnt there? Never owned any Japanese games myself, they're usually RPGs which I'm not keen on tbh,but if you love that kinda thing, there's loads over there.
I recall seeing Stolen on the shelves a number of times when working in Virgin Megastores. Launched around the time of Aeon Flux... is mania the right word? Don't think so. Anyway, It was a bit of a cash grab or hoping to get some of that audience (but with large tits on the cover). Cold Winter was a regular on the shelves and heard it's supposed to be decent too.

That pistol in the first game is called a Wellrod, it's a real weapon.

Have plans to thanks
actually had that first game in my collection fortunately it wouldn't load.anyway subbed
I owned 3 of these games, WW2 soldier, Cold Winter and Scaler. I might have traded them but they're most likely in a box at the bottom of my wardrobe

Combat Elite WWII Paratroopers , and Urban Chaos ;)
