As someone who has single handedly brought down a Bazel. Had this player newer to the game watch the encounter afterwards i gave him some pointers, helped him hunt down a diablos . He was so nice and said i was nice for helping him! I love the Mh community tbh.

Got almost 100 hours now only in 2024 and I have to say it's still amazing. You just get pulled in to this game and forget everything around you. Keep the hunt going, hunters!
I've recently started playing this in the last week. only 12 hours in and having a blast. it's been in my library for ages and don't know why I've not played it before. Nice to know about the community although I have only been playing solo so far.

i had this game sitting in my steam library for a few years...finally decided to play it recently.
im at 130 hours...very glad i did finally decide to play it, its been really fun
i still cannot settle on what weapon to use though lol, i keep jumping from weapon to weapon

I have a son and work, also do not have much time. Almost to high rank, about halfway there. I restarted to get the hang of LS again. But I have tried LS, GS and CB all are really good. I did upwards of 100+ hunts with both LS and GS and probably 30-40 on CB. I love LS though the absolute best.

Iceborne is one of the best DLC in existence :)
Had to take a break from Rise Sunbreak cause master rank was becoming a slog. Got World Iceborne yesteday and I gotta say, I love it. I still love Rise but World has such immersion that was sorely missing from Rise.

so this is really late, but i have to ask, would this live up to a game like elden ring? i understand you have your personal likings, its just a matter of whether it is properly a damn good game (from what your saying it sure as hell seems like it, it looks dope too)
Big time. Capcom is amazing at action games, the combat is super awesome and fluid, the monsters are amazing, and the setting is fantastic. There's no way you miss on this one.
Especially since it's such a cheap game now. It's been out for 6 years so there's always deals going on for it.

This makes me cry... i got it in 2021 i think and needed a year to beat it, it was so fun... but now its just not interesting to me.

I haven't played in 6 years! Played it right around launch and got all the way to getting a full Xeno'jiiva armor set in just a few weeks (which was the end at that point) doing everything solo. Then I dropped it and haven't played it since. It was honestly a little disappointing. MHFU was my favorite game of all time. This one was, well, too easy I guess? That being said, from what I've seen in your videos, it looks different now. A lot of the new monsters look actually challenging. So I just picked it up during the recent sale and I'm gonna give it another shot.

As someone who did absolutely everything in MHW:IB, I couldn’t quite commit to MH:R. Something makes me want to just restart world in 2024.
Do it! It's so fun! I restart the game every month or so and play through it with a new weapon!
@@GiddyFoxGaming I had several thousand hours on xb1, got it on PC, and couldn't bring myself to restart the grind. When I got MHR, it just didn't feel the same lol. I think I'm ready to restart the hunt!

What I'm wondering: is all content ever created still unlockable? Or has there been a lot of time exclusive content?
There's 1 thing that's locked from crossover events. There miiiight be 2, but I can't think of what it would be haha.
Otherwise everything is available and none of the locked content is necessary or more optimized than other gear in game

Loved the part about community. I recently left an MMO because the community has become ridiculously poisonous at late game. It sucks, because I really like the game. Thinking about delving into MHW to get my multiplayer fix

I got this game yesterday on sale on steam think it was 63% off but forgot I got it at launch and had all the dlc on my account already I was like what the! I must of refunded it so I spent a massive $13 AU haha and have all the dlc put on the new texture pack free update and looks amazing at 1440p on my RTX 4090 :) playing it hard out now

Mostly played Great Sword and nothing else... Recently watched a video on Switch Axe after picking up MHR and now have started playing MHGU and MHW with SA.
Just started a new playthrough again and falling in love and hating the game at the same time cause death by bulllshit stun for 10 seconds cause you didnt take stun resist 3 😂

Capcom is good at that. Look at Street Fighter 2 Marvel vs Capcom franchise Resident Evil. With the time and effort they put into these franchises i am not surprised a lot of people are coming back to MHW.

What better time to let everyone know how good Monster Hunter World is in 2024?!
This game was beautiful and was everything I hoped monster hunter could be and while I still think 4u is better objectivey I think world is the best game and iceborne helped me get through the toughest period of my life with 2020 and 2021, I have like 1500 hours in world on my ps4 and I'm planning to do a pc play though when I get some more time, truly world and iceborne has become one of those old time classics in gaming

Even though this game has multiplayer I can't play with anyone and idk why I think it might be the xbox servers on mhw have shut down but idk if anyone can give pointers please do but as of yes I have never been able to play with others but either way this game is amazing and it has gotten me hooked on the franchise and watching this video has made me realise how amazing it really is
Xbox servers are just fine, jump in my Discord we have Xbox players there!
My advice to new hunters is to watch speedrun videos. You don't need to be as good as those speedrunners. Just learn how they use the weapon combos and what armor skills should you go for. It would improve your skills as a hunter tremendously.

I've played few hours of MH: Rise on Switch years ago, but I didn't really get into it.. I'm considering buying World on Steam. Do you think I could like it more? I didn't really like that "asian theme" of Rise, I didn't like the aesthetic of weapons and armors in that game. I havew 200 hours on DD2 and I love the boss fights.
World is more Western in theme. it's not overt like Rise was. I love world, it's super good ☺️ I would highly recommend it

2000+ hrs in world before i played iceborne over 6000hrs now and counting…If I were to add up all my gaming hrs before monster hunter world including going to the arcade….it would not come anywhere near the amount of time I’ve put into monster hunter world …oh and I’ve never even been to the old world😂

The worst of it is more focused around "my game is better than your game", thankfully. In terms of a specific game's community, it tends to be pretty solid in terms of quality
Don't know why there's so much game warring, either. World has been fun for me so far, but Rise was a blast too. Same with 3u, 4u, Gen, etc. The people who focus on the whole World vs Rise thing aren't really a tangible part of the community in my eyes.

@@GiddyFoxGaming I personally find it amusing when people are unfortunately brought into the series expecting a hack and slash game, but is instead treated to slow and deliberate combat so they decide to blame the game for being clunky and then verbally post hate online about it, that's all.
I am very excited with the new influx of popularity and new players MHW has gotten, but I'm anxious about the toxic gatekeeping side of the community
