- After many years of neglect and decline at Birmingham City our new owners Knighthead Capital, headed by Tom Wagner have shared their vision for the club and all we can say is WOW! The club recently hosted a Open House to share and explain their immediate plans for the current stadium plus their plans to build a brand new Sports Quarter including a brand new stadium for the club on the already purchased land on the former Wheels Park.
Fans from other clubs and many others have doubted whether this will ever happen however, Tom Wagner, Gary Cook and the team at Birmingham City are determined to make this happen and are committing 2-3 Billion Pounds to make sure it does. If you are a Blues supporter make sure you let us know your thoughts in the comments below. The future is bright, the future is blue! KRO

Didn't look like the same team that lost to Cardiff. A lot of great performances, but Ivan did what he does best which is breaking up attacks and his goal was a bonus. Brilliant reaction from him - shows what the shirt means to him. I hope that we keep him, but think that his current wages could be an issue. Obviously need more of the same in our last games and our internationals need to perform to the level that they can. As we did yesterday we need to do our bit too! Interesting some of the names that were left out of the team and the matchday squad - just wondering if some of those players might have been having a negative influence on things. KRO 😀
@@2002ChrisK thank you for your comment. Yes, a pleasant surprise and after the Cardiff performance, one that I didn’t think we had in us. They gave set the bar now for the remaining three games. KRO
Well done for yesterdays win guys. Looks like we didn't turn up. Covs season is over. Will keep an eye on your results and hope to play you next season. PUSB
probally is but coventry aint had no money no big names and your a great team you need to start better maybe next season u go up
Maniak beat United mate and get to the cup final it’s doable son!!!
Season isn’t over for youz ☝️👍
Best of luck for next weekend - have a great day 🤞👍
I gotta say that was such a ridiculous question about the pink bibs’ ! Some of the other questions were equally ridiculous ngl I don’t blame them for not including the Q and A on the club channel! 😀👍
Some of the questions were hilarious but it was typical Blues fans and I wouldn't have it any other way. Hilarious :)
This club has an amazing future ahead and it's so exciting to be a blues fan. Thanks again and KRO!
Huge ...massive - tommy wagner is a blue ❤💙
A stadium for the whole region
Concerts - internationals - a hub
The future is right - the future is 💙
When that was ringing around St andrews yesterday it gave me goosebumps!
Tom Wagner deserves all the chants and support for what he is doing for our amazing club. The future is bright for Birmingham City and I can't wait to be a part of it.
Thanks for commenting and KRO!
Was so happy to see you guys win yesterday!
Thanks for commenting! Really appreciate it :)
It was a crucial win for us. I would be surprised if any blues fans on the planet saw a 3-0 win against Coventry after the Cardiff game on Wednesday but we will take it. Exceptional performance.
With Bristol city also getting that penalty in the 100th minute against huddersfield it turned out to be a good weekend.
Very best and KRO!
Totally agree with you guys! Thank you! I think we are all so excited after such a long period of degeneration. Oh - and I did see Trevor play many many times in those small squad years - he walked on water - and chucked his own money into the club later on. Thank you Mr Wagner and your team.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Trevor was a real legend and we are so pleased the club will be honouring him with a statue. Good times ahead that is for sure! KRO
Before the Cov game there was no evidence to suggest we’d play so well and get that great result Fair play to players and coaching for that great performance. I’m suddenly more optimistic about our chances. Also (like you guys), I’m really looking forward to a bright future for Blues. Crikey, we deserve some good times again after the past few years. KRO 👍🏻
Thank you very much for your which is greatly appreciated. I did not expect that performance at all after the Cardiff game in fact I did not think we were capable of producing anything like that. If we can maintain that level of performance for our remaining three games we will be fine. I still think it will go to the last game though. KRO
I'm still getting over having hot water in the toilets...great vlog as always gents, it's quickly becoming a must watch for me. KRO!
Thanks so much, Sam, really appreciate the comment and kind words.
I can't believe we were at a point where we were saying we need hot water 😂
If they improve the beer also next year with this new catering team I will be absolutely buzzing. For £6 I don't think it's too much to ask for a decent pint. I had one at the Coventry game and it still isn't great. Will definitely hold out now until the new catering has an impact :)
Very best and KRO!
Perhaps we'll be able to buy back Bellingham when he's in his prime.❤ KRO boys.
Thank you for your comment which is really appreciated. I think was are a way of doing that but wouldn’t that be something! KRO
Really good channel, great production quality, knowledge and entertainment factor. Love how you reply to all the comments. Up the blues💙💙💙
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We are really pleased you like the channel. KRO
Finally, someone thanked cook for a change. No doubt the real hero is wagner. But there are a few who we should be very, very grateful for. Without them, we may not have a club now. Great, sensible chat from you once again. Well done to you lads for a great channel too.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Absolutely, Gary Cook should get a lot of credit for what he and the team are doing. We know that appointing Rooney was a big mistake but that will pale into insignificance with all of the work and progress that is being and will be done over the coming months and years. KRO
It's a long time since people and the Blues Fanbase have actually been allowed to feel optimism, long may it continue. KRO,the future is bright, the future is Blue 💙💙💙💙
100% agree!
We deserve every minute of this with the past 13 years as a blues fan being extremely miserable.
This future is bright and blue indeed. Thanks for commenting and KRO :)

Thank you very much for your comment Brian which is greatly appreciated it’s great to know that you are watching our podcasts all the way from Australia.
Definitely exciting times at Blues and something I never thought I would see in my lifetime! Onward and upwards from this point onwards. Hopefully we can secure our place in the Championship first and if we can play like we did against Coventry for our remaining games we will be fine. KRO
If any big club found themselves hovering around the bottom of the championship season after season, they would definitely not fill their stadium every match 💯 Great fanbase and great times ahead for us...KRO!!!
This is the exact point I keep having with fans from other clubs at work.
The typical short sighted comments are "You don't even consistently get 25K now" but of course we don't. This club has been in the mud for the past 13 years ago and the fans have had nothing but disappointment after disappointment.
Give it 5+ years. Hopefully playing premiere league football consistently and we will get significantly bigger numbers more consistently. We as a fan base have been let down so much over the years we almost can't believe this is happening to our amazing club.
Thanks for commenting and KRO!
When Manchester City announced the Arab takeover theyd just played in front of 9000 supporters. Rome isnt built in a day. The MCFC project at Eastlands in Manchester is still a on going project. The future financing of football comes from property / hotels / leisure. Manchester City well on the path, Tottenham etc . Birmingham is the no1 investment destination outside London, HS2 puts the city how many minutes away from London, Birmingham is also a MCA, scrap land ripe for redevelopement , nice tax breaks to entice investment , Manchester City council over the past few years selling land on the corridor from the city centre to eastlands at well below market rate for the owners to then redevelop, so the idea theyre a oil club is finished, all the land on 99 yr leaseholds , so 99 years of garunteed funding, theyre adding to it with the CO-Op arena that will take the concerts out of Manchester city centre, whereas whats on the cards with the blues will put concerts slap bang in the city centre , take a look at Wembley stadium & everything that surrounds it & thats what awaits with the sports quarter.
First time I’ve seen this podcast, really good stuff! KRO 💙💙💙

when i was still living in England i use to work at a hotel(the Arden Hotel) Coventry road next to NEC. Trevor Francis was a member of the leisure club there so i saw him lots of times i didnt want to bother him by asking for a signature its just not me to bother people but if i could go back in time i would ask him. He seemed like just a nice guy who came in was very friendly and polite. i hope we name a stand after him KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Yes, Trevor is and always will be an absolute club legend and I’m so glad the club will honour him with a statue. I’m sure the statue will also take pride of place when we move to our new stadium. KRO
Brilliant, as always 👏🏼
Thank you very much for your comment, we are really pleased you enjoyed the podcast. KRO
The whole open house was just a very well organised event. I Live in Perth Western Australia and have never stepped foot in Birmingham city let alone St Andrews. I was born to English parents who were Bluenoses and I have been a passionate bluenose from the age of 11, when my Grandad used to get the matches taped and sent to him. I cannot wait to take my son and I to the New BCFC stadium in 5 years time and celebrate the dawn of a new era. It makes all the late nights and early mornings watching and supporting the blues worth it. What's the age old saying "build it and they will come". You forgot to mention the care and dedication to detail for the changes they are still making to St Andrews in the summer with the new lounge suites and full length bar, if that doesn't show us hoe much our owners care about us nothing ever will. To spend money on a ground and fan experience for a ground that will be no more in 5 years time is immense and makes me extremely proud to be blue!
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. It really is very exciting times at the club and something I never ever thought I would see! It great to know you are watching our podcasts from Perth in Australia! KRO

Great to be proud again. Love your channel. I watched Trevor play 2 brilliant days and they're all set to return.KRO
Thanks Robert.
We love this club and the fans so it's great to finally have what seems like positive days ahead.
Appreciate the kind words and KRO! :)
This is how i see it with the 60k ground ..every blues fan knows anywhere from 10 to 100 blues fans that dont go ..that means well have a pool of around 500k fans to a miliion ...villa maxed their potential years ago
Thank you for your comment which is appreciated. Blues have a generational fan base in that kids will support the Blues because that’s what their grandparents and parents support. We have an enormous fan base to tap into and when they give us a competitive team there will be no problem in filling a large stadium. KRO
Love the channel. Regarding the video I'm still sceptical, not because of anything the new owners have done but because of my experience of previous owners.
For me "this is happening" means nothing. Buying the land means nothing as that's just risk free land acquisition that will hold value. When I see a shovel in the ground and a worker laying the first brick then I'll dare to believe.
I'll believe change is coming when things start to change.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. I think it’s only natural as Blues fans to be sceptical after so many years of poor owners and being let down, but I really believe that these owners are the real deal. Things have already happened when you see the millions they have already pumped into the club and the improvements to the current ground that have already been made a much more planned for the summer. It will take time but I’m sure our new owners are here to stay. KRO
this could be a boring vlog but you guys make it fun and you have great knowlege keep it up guys love it ... when i say boring i mean if done wrong
Thanks so much for the comment and positive feedback. This podcast takes a lot of work so it makes the whole thing worth while when we get comments like this :)

As a cov fan well done for sat we never turned . The stadium plan sounds great for yu guys and the midlands . Sick of things going london bias , new wembley should of been built in the midlands. Good luck for the rest of the season see you in the championship next season
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We were pleased with our performance and the three points and hope that we can play like that in our last three matches. As you point out, we know that Coventry are a good side and we expected much more however we are not going to complain! I think your play off chances have gone this season but we will be rooting for you in your semi final at Wembley. If Coventry play at your best then you have a real chance. Kind regards. KRO
Tom wagner - thank you
One point , in terms of the statue ,could I suggest that it should be Latchford, hatton and Francis.
It was the 3 of them ,not just Trevor 👍
This is a tribute to Trevor's passing. NO
Thanks for commenting, always appreciated.
I'm sure the club will be sympathetic and empathetic when building the statue but this is all about honouring Trevor in his passing. What a legend and gesture from the club :)
Thanks again and KRO!
We've had the Coventry result, which i must agree i didn't see coming. If we do fail to remain in the championship, will this affect the players we will be able to attract to join us next season, i don't think it will. The product they will be able to present, will play a massive incentive to attract players, even if we are in League 1. Must admit, still pinching myself that this investment is happening. Great video as always gents.
Thanks for commenting David always appreciated.
This is a really good point. If the worst happened and we did go down I think we would be okay to attract players. We have great owners and they will be sold on the long-term vision and "the project".
We will be having a clear-out regardless of what division we are in (Hopefully championship) and I think this summer and beyond is going to be a really exciting time to be a part of this fantastic club.
Very best and KRO!

Thanks for the video guys KRO 🔵 ⚪ 🔵 Great win yesterday , I'm still buzzing. I watched the open house on TH-cam but was hoping to see the Q&A after but it was shown on Blues TV. Has anybody got a link of this, or was it even filmed?
Thank you very much for your comment which is appreciated. I noticed that too, the Open House video ended before the Q&A. If you have a X account (Twitter) take a look at ‘Everything BCFC’, they did a question by question commentary of the open house Q&A which I founds really good. KRO
Ultimately, you have to look at this with a business head, and I’m not saying it’s a bad thing and I’m not saying it doesn’t benefit the Blues. But my perspective is that this is ultimately a business opportunity and as wheels was already identified, simply highlights that the football club is an enabler for the opportunity. It could have been Solihull Moors. But to get the planning permission, the football team justifies the reason for a stadium. And this is why it’s irrelevant whether we are relegated or not. Of course a successful product on the pitch and one in the top flight will be a cherry and increase external investment, commercial opportunities and sponsorship revenue. And yes Tom Brady is there for a reason and the 40/60k stadium will have massive opportunities to fill outside the football programme. Looking at attendances, whilst a 40/60k stadium sounds fantastic, from a loyal supporter perspective and football fan, a half full stadium does feel disappointing. So if it is 60k and it’s filled with 30,000 people, it will be noticeable and psychologically be feel a downer. That would overlook that our average crowd in the last premiership campaign was 25k, so 20% growth would actually be fantastic. I know TW said that paying for the stadium wouldn’t come from ticket revenue and the above statement supports this as there is a bigger picture for revenue. That said, it’s something that needs addressing and I’m sure that if you want a stadium, whether 40, 50, 60 or otherwise, you’ll want to have at least 85/90% of capacity to have that atmosphere, and of course enjoy the quarter. This should drive tickets down in cost. I mentioned before the Barcelona approach. Low cost for a season ticket and club buyback sharing 50% for tickets sold to the general public if they cannot attend a match had to be considered.
I know part of my comments may come across negative, but again I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. Capitalism has brought many good things to the table and yes our club will benefit. But this isn’t a decision because they’ve suddenly found a love for ‘soccer’ and the Blues, though I’m sure they soon will have a bit of an emotional connection along the way.
It’s purely business, but finally and hopefully, good business for our football club.
Great vlog as always gents and the future’s bright.
And when I do see Tom, I will be telling him that it’s knighthead park at St Andrews, not the other way round.
KRO and let’s finish this season on a high! 🤞🏼💙🤍
Thank you very much for your comment which is appreciated. This is completely motivated by business and although I really believe that Tom Wagner and Knighthead do have the club at heart they are also here to make a lot of money. If I’m honest that doesn’t really bother me as all I can see is progression for our club to a level I never ever imagined we would aim for or achieve.
I have so much appreciation for Tom Wagner, Gary Cook and team fir what they are already doing and what they are planning however the point you make us just a reality in that they are here to make as much money as they can!
We are pleased you are enjoying the content in our channel. KRO
Indeed. It’s not a hidden agenda per se that a VC is to make a profit, and there’ll be an exit strategy as part of this project. And again not to put any dampeners on this, as I’ve worked under companies owned by VC’s and the most part they’ve been a good thing.
I’m sure GC has some heart in this being a local lad and it is exciting times. Having lived through more sorrows than joys, and not change a thing, I’m really looking forward to this era in our history. It’s the most excited I’ve been since Sullivan and the Golds came in and I believe done a great job.
The VCs have bigger pockets and we’ve seen some great sporting successes over the last 20 years with them. Let’s hope Birmingham City is one of them.
Great channel, superb content and energy straight from the heart. Keep that proverbial drum beating gents. It’s much needed to keep the cadence and energy going over the next few weeks.
Two good away results and a sell out partisan crowd on the 4th and I’m sure we’ll be having a fantastic bank holiday weekend to fully celebrate the good news after a rollercoaster season. KRO
@@rickyr7007 thank you for your comment. Very exciting times which will be rounded off nicely if we can just get over the line and stay in the division this season. KRO
Exciting times ahead. Love hearing the Villa fans panicking, trying to downplay our future. Just like Man Utd fans were doing. That just drove Man City on with even more determination. Birmingham City, like Manchester City will blossom into something special.

I 100% agree. It absolutely cracked me up. As you say, we are onto something special!
I have never heard anyone call it Nikey in the UK. Only Americans / TH-camrs. I don't intend on changing now so I will still with Nike thanks :)

i agree with the city within a city comment.. i think star city is about to go out of business.. no disrespect to tony but i think if gary keeps us up he deserves the job.. the owners for me would be paying fans back for sacking john eustace.. i definately agree that knighthead will be making blues fans proud to be a fan of our club again. after 13 years of merely surviving on bargain basement players bar jude bellingham we can finally start to heal are broken hearts .. up the wagner and up the blues

The only icing on the cake would be that if all this comes to fruition in 5 years and we are a premiership Team with a 50,000 seater stadium ... The owners stump up big time and bring Jude back who will in all probability be England Captain by then 🙏
Thanks for commenting Andy!
This would be amazing if it all came together during 5 years but unfortunately football is a patient game and this will take some time to get right. I mean, it isn't ridiculous to get to that level in that time but with everything we have been through as a club I am certainly learning to not get carried away haha :)

I think this will have something for everyone. I wouldn't be surprised to see a casino however they would have do this in an ethical way as there is a big campaign at the moment around mental health and gambling.
I might have a slightly biased take on this as I used to work for William Hill so I'm generally not a huge fan of bookies / casino's etc. However I trust Wagner and the team to strike the right balance when it comes to entertainment.
Exciting times for this club and I can't wait to see this all come together. Very best and KRO!
When will the construction start do you think guys?
This is a really good question.
I am totally Naive to construction and in my mind I thought it would be 5-10 years but Wagner seemed adamant he want's it up and running in 5 years time. I still think this seems ambitious however they are serious owners, with serious money and a goal so I wouldn't doubt or put money against them doing or achieving anything.
I would love for it be 5 years but that would surely mean construction would need to start within 2 years as the "Average" football stadium construction time is 3 years.
Very best and KRO!
The new 60.000 all seater stadium is gonna look great in Division 1 with 20.000 fans in it, empty seats my lord, empty seats.!! Maybe Rooney will come back as manager too, these two are getting over excited about what's been said by the top brass, but in reality what have they really achieved so far? A dire manager appointment & possible relegation, talks cheap & action speaks louder than words, the land the owners have apparently bought is a business asset, new stadium or not. How many new owners have.made promises & big statements of intent at the start of their reign, only to loose interest or badly let down the clubs they've bought into. Too many!!! There are enough examples in this country alone, it's common knowledge so i don't need to write a list, but you get the picture. If it works out for you lads, fair play, you've had plenty of downers over the years & as they say every dog has it's day, even ones with blue noses. 😆 Up the fuck'in Villa!!!

One of my family members was contracted to do a geotechnical survey of the wheels site. It is going to take a little of time and effort to remediate the land before it can be built on.
Thank you very much for your comment. As part of the deal the club negotiated a £9 million levelling up grant to remediate the site. There are all sorts of contaminants in there including Japanese Knotweed. It will take time to remediate the land but that will be done while they appoint Architects and other consults to draw up the designs and start to apply for all of the Statutory Approvals. Five years is extremely ambitious for a project of this size however with Tom Wagner and Gary Cook at the helm I have every confidence they will deliver at the earliest point possible. KRO
