Why put a young keeper in for the cups when we have two first team goal keepers fighting for number one? Makes no sense to leave one on the bench and play a third in the cups. It just causes unrest with players.

Thank you for your comment. I think it shows how the club are approaching targets and selling the vision to them. I suspect most of the players we have bought in would have had offers from clubs in higher leagues yet they still chose us in League One. We are building a very strong squad which in my opinion would challenge in the Championship this season let alone League One so the future for our great club is really exciting. It would be fantastic to get Jay Stansfield back on a permanent deal which would really put the icing of the cake for this transfer window. Thank you for your comment. As you point out we need to look beyond a starting eleven and consider strength in depth. I hope we keep Paik and JJ in addition to Leonard otherwise we will be short if we have injuries and suspensions. We need at least two players competing for every position. I'd love to keep him. Remember 2 players for each position, I think we will keep him.

Thank you for your comment. It’s difficult to know what is going on behind the scenes but I suspect Blues are still in negotiations with Fulham. There is interest from other clubs as well from what I read. Like all Blues fans I really hope we can get Jay back but we will have to wait and see. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Thank you for your comment. We have seen JJ develop from a boy into where he is now and I definitely think he has improved physically but he still has a little way to go. @@SmallHeathAllianceFC No he absolutely will be great in league one, and probably the championship too, so a great signing. But just today I’ve literally read multiple blues fans comparing him to Kevin De Bruyne 😂 Trust me, he’s not in that bracket, Brighton tend to get a little bit more than what Birmingham paid for world class midfielders 😂 and they’ve sold a few in the last 4 years. I know we have Leonard and Paik who can also play in that central midfield as well as George Hall and a few others could slot in there, however we needs a strong squad and I hope we can keep them all. I fully agree with your comments about Sanderson. He really is a different player under Chris Davies and in my opinion is deserving of a consideration for the starting line up. When did we ever see him moving into the other team’s half or spraying balls around like that? It just shows you how a player an improve with better players around him. Fair play to Dion! I can't believe the quality we've bought in especially as we are in League One but fair play to everyone involved at the club. Thank you for your comment. I've just responded to a similar comment a little earlier in respect of the same point. With the amount of games there are in the season we need a good strong squad. Even JJ who is highly speculated to go, all he has to do is look around at the players he is now lining up with and what the club are doing off the pitch and ask himself why he would want to leave! A good young age at 22 but with League One experience and only £500K which is a real bargain. I've said in a few earlier comments that if I was JJ and looking at the players we are bringing in and what is going on at the club I would be knocking on Craig Gardner's and Garry Cook's doors and begging for a new contract! Thank you for your comment. We always research players when we are about to sign him and from what I've seen of this lad, he is top quality. I've seen some comments from Brighton fans which say that they expected him to go to a top Championship or lower Premier League club. To get him to come to League One is amazing! The club seen to have a new policy of buying players on permanent contracts rather than loans which is sensible when you think of the potential add on value if you can get the players at the right age and for the right price.
