Tom Wagner is not wrong, all those previous football investors missed a big opportunity. Birmingham isn't just Britain's second city, it is said to be the biggest local authority in Europe .
Which is currently over a billion quid in debt and rising.......it's the worst local authority by a country mile - I know from first-hand experience as I've lived here most of my life....
I say this with a sour taste (beacuse it means Villa have to do well consistently) but it's about time Birmingham football caught up and went up against Manchester, Liverpool and London. Been left too far behind in the Prem era.

He certainly says all the right things. If he delivers the club has a lot to be optimistic about. Interesting that an American can see the potential of the city as a whole, unlike so many British people who still think it has not changed since the 1950s.

Long awaited and well deserved excitement
Considering there is no "London FC" and the "Manchester" name in football is massive, Birmingham makes huge sense.
We have an excellent and fierce rivalry with Aston Villa too being former European Champions who are very much on the rise themselves after under performing for a few years.
Birmingham is also incredibly diverse, well position geographically etc
We have so much going for us and I am so excited for the future of our club!

I get more excited after every interview of yours I watch. my knowledge of American football is limited but you'd have to have lived in a cave to not know and be excited by Tom Brady's involvement. To have new owners with the openness shown to date, coupled with their 'blue chip' presence and financial structure, as well as significant experienced board members, makes Birmingham a very lucky club to have them on board. Everyone in the club benefits. 80 years a fan and this is the first time I have felt truly pleased and convinced the club is in good sound hands. KRO. 💙⚽️🌈
He's going to need very, very deep pockets. The club is an absolute mess. The squad, the ground and convincing the fans to cough up prices that they're not used to. Brady certainly talks a good game but he's got one hell of a job to do at a club that's been rotting for years.

I have no right to comment being a Villa fan but many blues fans can’t go because of the state of the stadium and the 50% are those that can’t go. Realistically blues need a new stadium and the question will be how much can they expand St Andrew’s in it current location and is the short to long term view is to leave St Andrew’s ? Now in classic style I will expect a lot of abuse coming my way being a Villa fan on here but I put the question out there

I wish Birmingham the best in their football and their city but as the second largest city in the UK it lags well behind places like Manchester and Liverpool for any kind of cultural importance, for many it's just a place where you change trains.

I think that is far from the reality of things though.Outside of London or Birminham people would struggle to answer that one .
