Great mod! It didn't make me any faster but it feels more like the paddles on my C7 Corvette. I found someone local to print the piece and he made an extra.
He already has, check his channel. But to be fair, just like how he did a generic GT3 then AMG GT3 rim, I'd like him to do a specific F1 rim like what you describe as well. How would the wheel from JP Montoya's 2004 Williams sound?
Dude the stuff you’re doing is so awesome! Love how fairly priced the 3D files are. Shows a real level of respect for fellow sim racers to not take the piss with pricing even though you’re the only one doing this kind of stuff!!
I'm so glad that that i found your channel before starting to build my sim setup, there's so much money that i can save now. the first thing i have to buy for sure is a 3d printer lmao
your channel opened my eyes to a whole world of possibility. i know your a sim racing channel but it would be amazing to see your way of teaching and level of detail on Arduino electrical wiring on other more complex projects. one that has my mind blown is the chess playing robot. it would be fantastic to see one built and wired cleanly and explained more deeply while still being explained simply, which you are great at doing. side note, is it possible to create a shaker like the "ButtKicker Gamer 2"?
I did the same thing but "ghetto" style: 2 medium zipties, hot glue and a magnet on each end. Works a treat for a price of cup of coffee. Also built the hydro e-brake from your vid too, and it still going strong as ever! 😉 👍
OMG! You just read my mind! Yesterday I was playing back ACC after a long time and I was like, “ooof, I wish these shifter paddles had better sensation” and booom this video came out! LoL
I both one of those on Amazon. I actually just got it yesterday. I used it a couple of times and I took it off. The magnet they used is so strong, it doesn’t feel right. I wish they used a 4 smaller magnet instead of 2 big ones.
Currently looking at buying my first wheel and I've been binge watching most of your mods videos for the g29. You're super creative and talented and that 3d printer is one hell of a machine! The sleepy DYI part of me gets super interested in all your solutions. Now, onto my question, I can find a g29 for about €220 online while the T300rs (basic 2 pedals set) sits at about €260, but I guess I would upgrade it further if I find out I truly enjoy simracing (the new load cell pedals presented by David Perel look like a great piece of kit, not to mention the TH8A shifter which looks quite cool). I got a bit confused as checking many "world records" in Assetto Corsa I saw that guys with G27 and G25 are the predominant majority in the top leaderboards and I wondered if I should even go spending more than the "cheap" G29 to have an effective setup. Either way, bravo with your videos and best of luck with your current and future projects!
I’m curious to know if you could do a DIY wheel without using a 3D printer, which most of us don’t have, and maybe even without soldering. I don’t know if it’s possible but it would be great 👍
Very impressive. However, the click the magnets make could get to be annoying. Perhaps the surface of the magnets could be covered with a soft plastic to minimise the clicking noise?
Hi sir, how are you, then a question if you can make a steering wheel for Lamborghini type Hurricane GT3 Evo? thank you very much greetings and much gas
The paddles on the Logitech wheels have always been a downside for me, which is why I never use them [and also why I've been thinking of purchasing a setup from another brand]. However, this little mod may convince me otherwise to stick with Logitech and even upgrade from the slowly dying third-hand G27 to a G29/G920 and purchase/make/install this mod. Quick question, what other hardware [nuts, screws, magnets etc] would be required to go along with the mod install? Keep making the awesome custom mod videos! ❤❤❤
0:18 - Does such a button box thingy exist for the G29? I would love to have it with a bigger wheel rim without obscuring all the button on the rim face
Just another amazing video, Is there a way of attaching a old school 3 spoke wheel that attaches with one nut on a fanatec csw 2. Keep Up the Good Work
Very cool, do you have a store that sells this diy magnetic addon mod for the logitech G29 and do you know of an LCD mod for diy steerings that has track map view on steering and in game ?

Good job! Will you do replica of f1 steering wheel with lcd, led, rotary switches, encoders? Thanks.

That's a really great and non-invasive mod. I really like that a lot. Very cool sir!
Thanks Thor

You could add some thin cloth to the surface of the magnets to reduce the sound whilst still retaining the feel
super cool as always amstudio! keep up the good work! you're already at over 150k subs.
Thank you!

Definitely want to try this. Gotta try getting ahold of my schools 3D printer I guess..
This was such an amazing improvement to the feel of the shifters. Such a great mod, go support this guy…

feels amazing
You could use some black electrical tape to the magnets to reduce the metallic sound when the pad hits the magnets.
Another good tip!

Yeah the Logitech base is decent for a bit of fun. For the install just what is seen in the video, parts list is included with the files.
@@amstudioprojects idk if you'll read this but is this mod compatible with the g27? it seems like it
Nope doesn't work... there's too much room compared to the g29 and it just magnetizes to the paddles and doesn't come off
Don't buy a g29 if you had a g27, there's upgrade as they are the same basically, get a thrustmaster unless you don't want to spend the money :)
