I think there have been gaps because he has suffered from depression. Which he has addressed in some specials. He’s very candid of what he has suffered and how he’s come out the other side. His comedy is amazing. It doesn’t date. Only he can make me laugh about grammar.
OH that discman bit is so relatable! In high school, my best friend always had money to blow and got an early-generation discman. Right after high school, I scraped together some extra loot and went discman shopping. By then the discman had ALL those features Mr. Gulman mentioned! That was awesome.
Gary Gulman is a genius. His observations are so simple and he meticulously weaves this amazing web of comedy around it that you just burst out laughing!! :D
Well-said gamerdude257 ! Though seeing postings with old spots they had for stand-up comedians, just makes me kinda sad all over again. Like because it's just a reminder that his show used to be an hour..and he had more time for just about everything! Stand-up's, musical performances, and lest-we-forget the ever-classic Jimmy Vivino & The Basic Cable Band! 🎉❤💜💙 Such a staple to his show, and I remember how heart-breaking it was to watch Conan say goodbye to his show-band of 25 years :L And the weird-like transition to the half-hour format. Anyway.. I remember Gary Gulman from a few times, cuz I remember thinking he was legit-ly funny, as opposed to those people you could always tell were trying too hard to win the audience over. Takes talent & skill to appear that natural. ✌👊✨
gamerdude257 The operative adjective is 'meticulous'. It isn't just the observations. This is the Art of the Monologue. They are beautifully crafted and delivered. Not a word wasted.
Jerry Seinfeld is not funny at all. If you took the same cast of Seinfeld and took him out of the equation and put any other breathing human in his place not only wouldn’t it have been just as good, it would’ve been better…. He’s just some short, smug, unfunny, arrogant, geek who got luckier than any person in entertainment
nostalgically funny, he really capture the past, I'm surprise he didn't tie this into Goodwill store where you can still buy a skeleton of a discman that probably doesn't work, hoping for someone to adopt that been left behind on the shelf for years. Still waiting! I know because I keep looking to see if they discounted it yet from $5

The answer is: academic institutions. They need to give people a lot of random awards and retirement gifts, and they don't care about their staff at all, so they can't be expected to get something meaningful, so they spend hundreds of dollars on a random item from Things Remembered and get it engraved with the person's name. I can't imagine an individual consumer has bought something from that store since I've been alive.

You know you're old whrm you can spot mistakes and start debunking his statistics and information about the way the discman works, especially the shuffle option.
I saw him with my wife last weekend. We sat there for an hour and a half without laughing. Snarky, holier than thou “comedy” about religion, why he’s better than everyone since he reads a lot.
Pirates finding buried treasure could not be as happy as I am finding a Gary Gulman routine on TH-cam that I've never seen before.
Haha. Great comment! I feel the same way
Arrrr, right ye be, matey!
The only thing better these days would be a never-seen-before Norm Macdonald set.
WHY do we not see more of Gary Gulman? Absolutely one of the most hilarious, brilliant comics out there.
His special "Born on Third Base" is coming to Max (formerly HBO) in December! I think he is the smartest comedian around. :)

For the record, that Scott thing is absolutely 100% true.
“So Zorro, we meet again!”
Made my day Dude 😂
I always love his grammatical references. He's very into letters, words, and word usage.
Gary was my substitute teacher in high school. He has always been extremely bright.
"The audacity---NAY! The TEMERITY!"
My first hook into Gary.
Conan is proof possible that good genuine people can make it. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say negative things about him.
Conan works very, very hard and is the least entitled person I ever met.
I think you mean "proof positive," but don't quote me on that.
Shows how clueless you are.
my favorite act of his is the process of coming up with 2-letter state abbreviation
cant leave ppl hangin ... 🙂

I had a friend who worked at "Things Remembered".
She was always called it "Things Dismembered".

@Demetrios Christopher he was in the Joker.
I saw him do over two hours in Cleveland without a single break and the digressions and callbacks were just incredible

Such an amazing wordsmith.
Never seen this guy before, but good lord he is good!!! One of the best I've ever seen!
Keep going! The Great Depresh on HBO Max is poignant and funny at the same time.
Check out his bit on abbreviating the states. It’s stand out.

Stand up comics don’t usually make me laugh but this guy had me lol every other word.
I love Gary Gulman's comedy so much! Great clip.

I'm seriously tickled by this bit though. 😂
Conan sure knows how to pick’em 🤣
One of my favorite comedians of today
I have to admit I do sort of enjoy that last flourish! lol
Thank you Gary. I feel heard.
No can defend, Gary!!! 😄👍🏼
What are the chances!? …10%
He’s unique and hate to use the word loosely, a comedic Genius. From engraving to the disc man….hilarious
What are chances, what. Are. The. Chances?...10 percent. Lmao
Like a next level Seinfeld with observational comedy.

Good lord he is a great comic.
Years ago i saw my little cousin still using a discman and i took such pity on her so my family chipped in and got her an ipod.
Yeah, sounds like something Ned Flanders would do. Have a good day neighborino!
so good!!!
