    Could you somehow attach the pegboard system to the wasted space on your magnetic wall? Absolutely love those hidden supply cabinets behind those lovely wooden panels!

      That’s a great idea Martha. I might just do that. Thank you for the tip! You’re a genius 🙌🏼🙌🏼

    Crafting for me is I make medium sized quilts. I find for myself that I need to see my supplies and in being able to see what I have the intention is that I will remember and use it (fabric, thread etc) of course it has to be tidy and I try to put stuff away when done using them (rulers, rotary cutters, and the scraps of fabric put in bin for sorting later). I have a smaller white board that I have on it a list of future projects, and I see where your metal backed white board is rather big for your liking, but to use instead the area that is tucked out of the way though smaller would be awkward - remember good body mechanics are so important when crafting - and for me out of sight is out of mind. You must have an amazing memory to not have labels on the outside of your cabinets ❣️Myself, I’d be wasting so much time and getting myself frustrated by having to search through all the cabinets trying to find what I needed. 😊
    My one wish, though I am thankful for what I have, would be that my Quilting Room was not in the basement.
    You have a lovely room, I hope you enjoy many hours crafting in it, ❤❤

      Thank you for sharing how you organize your crafting supplies and to some degree I admit I do forget what I have. I almost need a reference book 😂Happy crafting!

    When we moved into my current home I took over the formal living/dining room combo. It’s just a furniture collector space IMO. We had pocket doors put in. It’s a 20x 15 room that I use as my craft room.

    I use my diy poster frame/magnetic board to display my card creations. If they're in a drawer I forget to go to them when needed. Kinda pointless making cards but not giving them away 😊 And, I get to collect pretty magnets to display the cards 😉 It's become, what I affectionately call, my art gallery wall. Thanks for the tour Christine. God bless you 🙏

      Hi Carolyn . That’s a great idea. I love it! I used to post all my tags on the board, then my kids started using it as a place to write me notes and doodle on. They’re older now and don’t use the board so maybe I can start showcasing my cards and tags on it again. Have a great week!

    Gorgeous craft room. Your idea wall could have been doors to a closet. So I wouldn’t get ride of it, but your doors themselves could have been magnetic.
    I love my IKEA Skadis! Since your Skadis boards are located next to the fold out counters for your kids, I would utilize your Skadis pegboard with more of your kids crafting supplies.

      Your idea to have the idea wall as the outside to more storage space is perfection.
      I do love the idea wall where it is. It’s more accessible and useable than back in the corner, or behind the shelves with stamps. And I LOVE that it is magnetic!
      But to have also turned it into storage closets behind the wall? Yes! Brilliant!

    I’m so glad this channel somehow made it to my feed. Your wall of cabinets is exactly what i would like to do in my room (library ladder included). I’ve tried to described this exact idea to my hubby but he didn’t think it would work. It nice to see it works well! Could you please let me know where the cabinets and ladder were purchased? Thanks!

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Lin. Welcome to the Party! I’m so glad I could help out with the design process of your craft room. You must be so excited!!!😄Everything was custom so you’ll have to source out a cabinet maker on your area to custom fit everything to your room

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My designer who is no longer in our area sourced out the ladder for us. Sorry I couldn’t be much help with regards to product sources. However if custom cabinets is not the way you want to go, I’ve seen people use IKEA cabinetry but then have someone come in and custom flush mount them so it looks like it was custom made for the space.

    • @christinemleung

    I live in a one bedroom apartment so something like this is not practical for me. I have areas all over my apartment. Not really messy just not in one place. For instance I have a whole kitchen counter that I use strictly for equipment. Because it’s a very sturdy surface. I can also dye paper and use my cutting board in it. But watching this is giving me some ideas.

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Paula. I completely understand. Before I was blessed with this space, I used to share an office with my hubby and I had a small desk I had to work off of. It’s great that you can spread out all over your apartment. Yes, and having a sturdy table is an absolute MUST! Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend!

    @brennagarciaasisabgelement7917 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I am a function and flow designer by necessity and I agree with you the magnetic wall is not functional but in retrospect you cannot add much storage unless it was inset into the wall because your doors are so large comma love them by the way. I would like a TV but I don't have four walls to work with so totes jelly just have to say. The TV would be used for the virtual crafting with others/events that I can do since I am a 24/7 caregiver. But if I can make a suggestion for your magnetic wall there are spice rack magnetic shelves that I purchased to stick to my refrigerator for my seasonings and they come in white you could get a bunch of those and put them on your wall for color if you wanted. At least that's what I would do with that wall. I love how open and natural lit your space is. I was going to say no pegboard before you said it😂. I just added a showcase space on my cabinet doors. Wonderful layout of the room and you have a sink. Being in the corner of my garage although insulated definitely limits some of my creativity. You have great nice free flow

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Brenna. Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions. I love the idea of the spice rack. That’s genius! Apparently there is space behind the idea wall for 2 more of those walnut cabinets that I showcased in the video. I might reconsider revamping that part but for now I’m enjoying what I have now. Enjoy the rest of your week! 😀

    I absolutely love your craft space! I have many favorite parts (pretty much all of it), but I saw myself in your basket of wrapping paper, and basket of pre-made gifts on the base of your table. I used to buy the most gorgeous papers from a store called Papyrus (they also sold the most wonderful cards to rival handmade) until it went out of business. 😢 Now we can still find their greeting cards in other stores, but not the paper. Sadly for that reason I’m still hoarding too many sheets of it! There is also another store called Paper Source that is still open for business . They also sell gorgeous paper, but they are more costly than Papyrus was. Maybe that’s why they went under. 😔Of course I preferred Papyrus. The basket of boxed gifts you prepared for last minute gifting is genius! I definitely want to do something like this. I bought several old cigar boxes to paint and design for gift giving! I love mass producing my cards -like 12-24 of similar designs (I always change something, the color, the paper, the texture, the embellishments…) but why pull out all those supplies and just make one card?!?! 😅 Anyway thanks for the inspiration your videos provide! Happy crafting!

      Thank you so much for reaching out. I feel as though we have crossed paths at Papyrus and Paper Source. 😆I’m actually publishing a video in the next 2 weeks that will use up some of that gorgeous paper, all thanks to YOU! My prayers have been answered. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out a material I needed for a portion of my next video …. And then you posted this commment. I had forgotten about those rolled up gems in the corner. Thank you for sparking my creative process for this week. Have fun creating and filling a basket full of goodies you can give away. ☺️

    BTW- I absolutely love the sorta disco ball looking silver sphere lights! Also, how do the cabinets up top open? The ladder rail appears to block them.

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Jennifer. Now that I think of it.... those disco ball lights should have been listed as a " Don't do". LOL They look great but the light from it is very diffuse. That''s why I had to add additional lighting lamps when I record for TH-cam. The cabinets open like regular cabinets and yes, the ladder does get in the way. I have to climb up, and open one side at a time.
