How to Fix a Blue Coolant Light:
A blue coolant light typically means your engine coolant is running cold, but it’s best not to attempt a fix yourself. Pull over safely and turn off the engine.
Coolant is vital to prevent overheating, so driving with a warning light is risky. Consult your car manual to see if there’s any basic troubleshooting you can try, but generally, it’s recommended to call a roadside assistance service or get the car towed to a qualified mechanic for proper diagnosis and repair.
How to Fix a Red Coolant Light
A red coolant light on your dashboard signifies a potential issue with your engine’s cooling system. The most common culprit is a low coolant level.
Pull over safely and turn off the engine when possible. Once it’s cooled down a bit, check your coolant reservoir, which is usually a translucent plastic tank under the bonnet.
If the coolant level is low, consult your car manual for the recommended coolant type and top it up with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. However, a low coolant level can indicate a leak.
If you suspect a leak or the light remains on after refilling, don’t attempt further repairs yourself. It’s best to take your car to a garage to diagnose the problem and prevent potential engine damage.

If you see that this light is on, then you should stop your car right away, and wait until your engine cools off. Once you’ve made sure that the engine is cool enough, open the hood and check for any leaks. If there aren’t any and if the light has switched off, then you are good to go. However, if you don’t see any leaks and if the light is still on, then you should get your car checked immediately.

@Stevo-ky6tq A red temperature warning on your Toyota Vitz dashboard, especially after the engine has been off for a while, typically indicates an issue with the engine temperature sensor, the cooling system, or an electrical fault. Here are some potential causes and steps to consider:
Engine Overheating: If the engine was overheating during your drive, residual heat might still trigger the red temperature warning. Check the coolant level and ensure it's adequate. Low coolant can cause overheating.
Faulty Temperature Sensor: The temperature sensor might be providing incorrect readings. This can happen if the sensor is faulty or if there is an issue with the wiring.
Coolant Leaks: Look for any signs of coolant leakage under the car or around the engine bay. Leaks can cause the engine to overheat and trigger the temperature warning.
Electrical Issues: A problem with the vehicle's electrical system, such as a short circuit or faulty wiring, can cause the temperature gauge to display incorrect information.
Radiator and Cooling Fans: Check the radiator and cooling fans for proper operation. Blockages or fan malfunctions can lead to inadequate cooling.
Thermostat Issues: A stuck thermostat can prevent proper coolant circulation, leading to overheating.
      Immediate Steps:
Check Coolant Level: When the engine is cool, check the coolant reservoir and top it up if needed.
Inspect for Leaks: Look for any obvious signs of coolant leaks under the car or around the engine.
Monitor the Temperature: If the engine is cool and you start the car, observe the temperature gauge closely to see if it rises quickly, which could indicate a problem.
Avoid Driving: If the red warning persists, avoid driving the car to prevent potential engine damage.
Consult a Mechanic: Have a professional inspect the vehicle to diagnose and resolve the issue.
If you are not familiar with vehicle maintenance, it's best to have your car inspected by a mechanic to avoid potential damage.
