I also love your mom Mary Morrissey...shes an incredible inspiration....heard her story and got me through some tough times and it confirmed some things and helped me to keep dreaming...attended Dreambuilder Live a few years ago and it helped me to realize my vision and goals for the coming few years and possibly more.
For me, 1, it is his intelligence and wisdom to give suggestions. 2, His empathy to show active listening skills when you are vulnerable. 3, His non judgemental, humble and tolerate attitude. 4, His sense of humour to take challenge and see bright side of hardship life.
His mother, Mary Manin Morrisey, is an amazing woman in her own right. She’s such a strong, resilient, motivational, and inspiring woman! Mat was blessed to have been born into such a family.
The one things that always impresses me when I listen to you Mat, is your calm masculinity. You come across as cool, calm and collected - but also warm, friendly, kind and approachable. You are a great example for what to look for in a future partner - it can be difficult to discern that, if you do not see it modeled in actuality or have an actual person/roll model that you can compare to. Some coaches - you can tell they put on a show during their videos - you - I believe - are genuinely you. Thank you for your videos!
I love how you talk in one of your videos you talk about knowing it is him or somebody better, because our love comes from source energy, that us a good one too - and that as a foundational belief keeps us in ourselves first as well.
Walking a distance apart from a person is often a trait of autism due to problems with social skills and proprioception. Autism is a spectrum disorder and most adults are undiagnosed.
I enjoy being independent - to use your words "fill my own cup". But the more independent I become, the less desire and interest I have in a relationship with a man. Like, what's the point? I'm an introvert, so I enjoy my own company. And, in my relationship experience, men are really needy and become a drain on me.
Relatable. In my past relationships, either men have been a drain on me or (I hate to admit) I've been a drain on them. I haven't (yet) been able to strike a balance where we both just bring eachother good energy. Maybe one day I'll have a good, sustainable relationship... if I keep doing the work. 🙏
This is awesome! Apparently, I’ve grown over the years and have learned these things through my experiences and maturity in Christ (this was encouraging and affirming for me!). I think the things that I really value in a man are: His wisdom. Wisdom protects. It guards the relationship. When you have a man who has wisdom and you submit to him and his wisdom, that wisdom will act as a protective covering for you as his woman. It’ll protect him, it’ll protect you, and it’ll protect your children. I didn’t know how much I valued this until I met a man who saved the day for his family AND mine due to his rock-solid wisdom in God. I can also really admire a man who is hardworking yet present for his family. A man who you can see invests in the lives of those he loves.
Are you married? I ask because it's one thing when submission to one's husband is an abstract concept and quite another when it's something one is obliged to do 24/7. No husband is wise all the time; both of mine made plenty of mistakes (although they were intelligent and educated). ♥
Qualities in a man are: emotional intelligence, financial savvy and generosity, compassion for humankind, animals, and plants, devoted commitment, consistent communication, and loving kindness.
Emotional intelligence! More specifically reflecting on observations he has made of his own behavior and how that could be improved. God that is attractive in a man!
#1 would be an openness, a willingness to grove and build something with me. That was really tough to find because when men get out of their comfort zone, a steely stubbornness can set in. That leaves no where to go for me. Some men can get over that challenge if they are left alone to mull over it but many go into denial by pushing it aside hoping I wont push it further.
Matt, can you make video about get out of the friend zone, when I meet a guy I like to be in relationship with they always say you are nice girl but I just want to be friends then go out with girls who break there heart and I just a shoulder to cry on
With all due respect, if the attraction is not there on their part, they will not want to move you into the dating from the friend zone . You will meet your guy who will be attracted to you. Trust in the process.
I just got ghosted- Again. This list reminds me of what I know I did wrong- Again. It's so hard for people with affective disorders and mood disorders to give and recieve healthy, sustainable love. I'm trying so hard to do better. I'm trying not to give up hope that I could find inner peace and stability, and that I could still meet someone new-someone right- and I could act right the next time, even though I messed it up again this time.
I'm also a widow. I became a widow in my 30s, raising mine, his and our children. It can cause feelings of neediness & abandonment issues. Therapy does work to learn to overcome these feelings of inadequacy.
Exactly. It's neurotic for a woman to have extreme highs and then also goes and quite mental no matter how exciting it may seem at times. It's out of control. The environment is very overbearing and harmful to children, and on the family system, and it's hard to know who is the child and who is the adult.
Actually men like the lazy bliss of nothingness so they do NOT want an ambitious woman AT ALL! And women want a loving husband, not a career freak either. So getting priorities straight is key in any relationship. Let your expectations be known and when too high, move over to a more low maintenance partner who is less needy.
I have these mindsets. The only thing that I concede that I am still working on is the white-hot hatred and anger that is now in my heart. The first 75% will go away when I leave US soil for good and the second will go away during my dinner meeting with the SM. After that, I will be emotionally void of negative emotions.
A man who can express his needs from the very beginning. Like, tell me straight why he approached me, is it because he is sexually attracting or having a crush. It is very normal to me if a man fancy a woman from her appearance. I never heard any man has no dirty mind when they fancy someone. Be honest at the beginning, so I know how to treat him. Keep it simple.
I,m atracked to men who can fight, if it,s boxing, Kickboxing, whatever Because it makes me feel safe. And that,s what i want besides respect, empathy, care,passion, vulnerability. The downside to these men is the lack of mental stimulation because they,re not on my level of intelligence, that,s complicated🤔
My man if a UFC legend and one of the smartest I’ve known. You can find both but real men don’t act macho and over protective they only show that side if necessary so I’ve never seen it nor has any man who argued with him or looked at me wrong because he’s in control and mature and not a fighter in life just in profession and sport. You need to look for good guys not macho guys. He’s the biggest empath I’ve known
