    Very good video info for a guy like me transitioning from Canon EOS cameras. This Sony a6400 is totaly different, more complex and more complicated. Your detailed set up helped me a lot. Thanks a lot.😀

    Imaging edge app (oem) is an excellent remote, no need to purchase another thing for your bag; yes bulb works.

    I wish the meter worked in auto iso like canon and nikon this is my biggest fault so far taking me a few more seconds to get exposure properly on the 6000 and 6400

    Solid guide to setting your camera for the best picture. I really find the UI to be annoying, especially with the ease of use of taking pictures on phones. Hope they improve the software in the future.

      Yeah that is the only catch, the menu is so deep. The newer Sony menus like the A7SIII and A7IV is much easier.

    aloha~I m new w/a6400 my video came out foggie grey on sunny day outdoor not sure why...I am sure due to incorrect setting...also any recommendations on fast quick travel chargers? any idea/suggestion? thanks🤙👊

      Aloha! Did you come from an air-conditioned environment and went outside? Sometimes in hot and humid environments that happens to my lenses.
      For quick battery banks I usually recommend anything Anker. Something like this: amzn.to/3Ngc1jZ

      @MikeBSalazar no I was at the sunny beach park I think it's my setting I got my iso to the max because each person I spoke to have different settings and I don't know who to follow everyone has different settings lol confusing time to time some people do not have beginners instructional videos and sadly some do not even response back comments after weeks n months waiting...either too busy or don't care for my comments I guess... anyways I am figuring out most things out on my own most of the times. all i want is simple sunny clear day natural video. thank u🤙

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@E9ONE1 On a nice sunny day, most often you'll keep your ISO very low. On low light situations you'll bring that thing back up.
      Feel free to leave any more comments if you have anymore questions.

    Just got the a6400,what type of lens wound you recommend for it?btw what app do u use to transfer photos form the camera to phone?

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends what you plan on shooting, but generally the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 is a good all around lens. In terms of the app, i personally prefer to use a USB-C SD Card reader to plug into your phone if you have a phone with USB-C, otherwise I think you'll have to use the Sony Creator's App or the Imaging Edge app if they still have that.

    ^ If I am short on time who Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority be "easier" to learn along with auto mode. Also what video should i set to for 1080? I don't want 4K cause of space

    What is that attachment you have on the bottom of the camera and what is its purpose?

    • @MikeBSalazar

      It’s an L bracket. It’s used to give more grip Room, to allow vertical mounting to a tripod and even provide a cold shoe mount for a microphone.

    • @lookpro.rideslow
      @lookpro.rideslow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justincasehd7524 I get that, but wouldn’t convenience be… editing a raw photo and getting a badass final product all from wherever you’re sitting on your phone? Just a thought. Great video! I followed a lot of your settings for photo and video when I got my 6400. Working well for me so far and I haven’t really strayed from your advice.

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've been editing via Lightroom and can edit my raws there, but I noticed that the Sony Edge app just sends JPEGs via wireless.

    • @ctsxhp326
      @ctsxhp326 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MikeBSalazar That's the single biggest irritation I have because it was such a great option to be able to transfer wirelessly only to be reduced to jpeg only making it pointless. And there's no good technological excuse I can think of, beyond file size which should be irrelevant as it would only slightly increase transfer times.
