Well doggone it Mr. Morgan, I literally just got back 5 minutes ago from buying a Coast Slayer Max Red flashlight!!! Had I seen this vid before I would've pulled the trigger on that Warsun. #letsgetlit 😎
I am a flashlight junkie! They definitely need to rework the on/off switch. I would keep it as a back for that reason but still a nifty little light to have around. #LETSGETLIT
Great price with compromises. You can't have it all i guess? The best thing they could do to these flashlights 🔦 is to take strobe and not put it on them at all (read reviews om not the only one). Why not #Letsgetlit
I have NEVER used the strobe mode on any flashlight, on purpose; nothing says "cheap flashlight" like a strobe mode you HAVE to click through to turn it off or get to the next mode. This one does score big points on versatility because of the side light. I'd keep one around as a quick-grab.
@ not high quality but decent. I wish a big brand would make a rotating head like it. The v30 has Red and UV LEDs in the head plus side lights. Hate their sirens though.
Good comparison video. It’s hard to beat that price, but like you, having to cycle through each light function to turn off would get annoying. #LETSGETLIT
@@mdunbar04 👍👍… it is a small power bank with that USB A too… didn’t know that till I tried it later based on a comment. Didn’t mention it in the manual.
Prices for good flashlights have been crazy lately. I remember back in the 90s, no one would spend more than $20-30 for a good quality flashlight. But they do offer a lot better features nowadays. #LETSGETLiT
Looks like a solid light and for the price I think it is a solid add to any bag. I do want to share a light with you that has been a game changer for me. Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Warm. It is a magnetic and high CRI led headlamp. Also it has a great clip and has potted internals and a double o ring sealed cap. If you get one please make sure to get the Warm Nichia LED version.
@@MORGANSMaintenance You're welcome. I am new to your channel and really like it. I will keep dropping ideas. One thing I always wished a tool channel/person would do is set up group buys for a tool. Like check out these wrenches I approve of, I partnered with the brand and if you buy in now we can all get said tool for a special price. Example would be like a special Knipex Cobra, maybe a different color or something like that. a couple hundred of us order and we get a pair for like $30 or whatever.
#letsgetlit that would be a great light to have as a compliment to my large NEBO that has those features just much bigger. Smaller is sometimes better. Thanks for the heads up on this brand.
I was just about sold on this light. Because it appears to be a portable battery bank & Its not overly bright. So you should be able to see wire and cable colors. Which is a must for all my work lights. I like that it has a red light. A UV light in place of the blue light would have been nice. But not a deal breaker. I, am in the market for a light to replace my AA Rover light because I’m tiered of the cap falling off and having to hunt for it. But the flashing feature is a deal breaker for me. Why does every flashlight manufacture these days think an LED light has to flash to be a flashlight. Id bet < 1% of people ever even use the flash feature. To me it just cheapens the flashlight and makes it unpractical. In this case more features is NOT more better. But thats just my opinion. Id pay the extra $60 for wuben just so I don’t have to cycle though the two useless flashing modes. But Id probably buy 3 of the Warsun if I didn’t have to cycle through the flash featured.
@ out of curiosity is it actually a power bank? As in, can you plug a phone charger into the USB-A or USB-C and charge phone or another device with it?
@ yes on the USB A, the usb C port didn’t charge when I used it. Their manual has hardly no instructions in it, I didn’t even think about trying that till you all said something about it
@ I may have to overlook the flashing modes and order one now. I don’t use my rover light often but the side light comes in clutch in certain scenarios. But a light that could be swapped out and not take up any more room on my bag and be able to charge / top off my KTC neck light or Vessel 220usb while I’m walking across a plant would be nice. May have to see if the Warsun is hackable so custom firmware could be loaded on it to get rid of the flashing features.
The Boruit V20 may be what you want. It has a pivoting head, side lights, UV light, doesn't force going through strobe, and is under $30. Another option to consider is the Sofirn IF23 (not the Pro). It has a very bright main light, a very bright side light, can do colors if you want them (but not UV), and is powered by a 21700 and can act as a power bank (you'll need your own C->C cable). The battery can be charged in the flashlight (USB-C), or can be removed. Its magnet has no problem holding the light out at 90 degrees. This is, IMHO as a flashlight collector, the best toolbag flashlight I have found.
#LETSGETLiT The forced cycling through all modes will keep this off the First String, but it still looks useful in a lot of situations. So, pressing and holding the switch when it is on does not turn it off? The Boruit V20 for a similar price has a pivoting head and the side light, and doesn't force mode-cycling to turn it off.
