Here me out make vision cold from the start maybe have the kids debate if it’s vision or someone who retains the thoughts and experiences of the original vision and in the end have him show emotion embracing his son
I never would have expected Avalon as the first Young Avengers outing, but your explanation of the magic users, Cassie the giant, Riri the knight, and Kate the archer is honestly perfect. Amazing job as always!
@@anthonylococo1368 You’re thinking of when the Champions team went to Weird World. The arc was called “Weird War One”. Miles becomes a shadowy hooded rogue assassin, Kamala becomes a mystic, Amadeus Hulk/Brawn becomes and Orc, Riri becomes an armored knight, snowguard becomes sort of a harpy, Sam becomes the Nova Knight with a magic sword, Wasp becomes a small winged fairy, and Viv vision becomes an automaton called the vivid vessel.
I also like White Vision with the YA because it reminds me of the first season of Young Justice with Red Tornado watching over the team. Having the robot who needs to relearn humanity spending a bunch of younger people working to figure themselves out in general is just so fun.
One thing Im surprised wasnt mentioned about the "adults dont listen" idea is that this exact plot beat is done successfully in spiderman: homecoming. Peter is trying to take down the vulture and at every turn Tony Stark isn't treating him like an Avenger and is telling him to lay low and save cats from trees. I could see something sumiliar being natural here
But Tony DID listen, he called the FBI to take vulture down, Spider-Man impedes them by trying to solve the problem himself when he wasn't exactly ready yet, the whole movie Peter is breaking rules set by his mentor, hacking Into his suit and breaking through the training wheels protocol that was put in place to protect him, I dont know that's just how I thought about it
The "adults don't listen" bit is easier to play off of just one older character than a large group of them. With the Avengers, you would expect at least one of them would take pause and follow up with the younger heroes. They've seen way too much weird stuff to have every single one of them just completely discount everything that a group of people are saying. I also can't imagine the MCU's Scott Lang not at least investigating something his daughter wanted to look into. It would end up with something like "So you believe what I'm saying?" "The important thing is that you believe it." And he might even go along for the ride for a while as the mentor in over his head because he can barely keep his own life together and can't figure out how to give advice to the younger heroes except for "Just do whatever I wouldn't do." Actually, that might still work with Nando's pitch... when the kids disappear, he could say "Not again" mirrored by Cassie saying the same thing after a quick cut. That would also work with Lang attempting to make portals to Avalon to get the kids back, to no avail. The Young Avengers eventually manage to do it on their own. Cassie ends up hugging him and he's just so happy to see her. Then the other Young Avengers start to hug the two of them and he just looks a bit confused, but ok with it. Then America, Loki, and Megan join in, and Scott asks "Who... do I know these people? What happened, Peanut?" Wiccan eventually gets dragged in by someone, probably Kamala with a light construct arm. Then suddenly they all get self conscious and wander off leaving Scott sitting with Cassie very confused about what just happened. Cassie starts explaining with "Once upon a time..." Yes, it's cheesy, but I think Newton and Rudd can pull it off without it being too weird.
if there is one lesson spiderman has to learn is to NOT trust Tony, if tony wanted to be trusted he should stop trying to do everything alone while preventing others from trying@@LuckyMayoOFFICIAL
America: He's reincarnated or something, whatever. It doesn't matter. Poe Dameron: Somehow Palpatine returned... America: Okay, I just heard what I said.
This is probably the best pitch you've made. I hope Feige doesn't mess it up The idea of them "thinking with portals" for the arrow against Merlin is really fun, very cleverly set up, and something I don't think we've seen on-screen yet.
Wow! This was a great pitch for a Young Avenger movie. The Avalon setting really would set it apart from the formation of the adult Avengers, plus Merlin and his knights would make for a fun first opponent. This was well written and well detailed, I hope we get to see something like this.
Not Nando giving us Billy and Teddy fanservice as a post credit scene 😅 I love those two characters so much, and it's very cute that you picked the Heartstopper boys as a fancast. Love this pitch!
I really like the premise, I think having Speed be a member of the team from the beginning would add emotional stakes and explain why the team is so adamant about getting Billy back. It means more if Billy is a sibling of a team-member and not just some kid.
I agree, but also from a financial business standpoint. Comic book movies need a man (preferably white, cis, and straight) as a main character to bring in a section of fans who would otherwise skip this film and catch it on streaming. I'm not saying those people are racist, homophobic, misogynists. But, when it comes to comic book movies, they are looking to see themselves in the movie. Otherwise, they will save their money and just catch it on D+. It's why Black Panther was so successful. The inclusion of Martin Freeman's character as the audience surrogate allowed the white audience to insert themselves into the film as much as the black audience.
@@Paul-wd8cz I don’t think that Martin Freeman’s character was necessary. Most people agree. And he wasn’t even in the movie until like halfway through
@k-dawgwestmore4643 If we could turn back time and re-release the film without him, I bet it would make at least 20% less at the box office. It was a great film, but so was 'Everything everywhere all at once' - a film at its core was about an immigrant woman accepting her lesban daughter. It was wonderful and deserved all the Oscars it won, but it's box office was shockingly low.
@@Paul-wd8cz I just don’t think it would’ve affected the movie either way. Nobody was going to see Black Panther for Martin Freeman. They were going to see it either for the black cultural moment or because it was tied into the Avengers saga.
Would love to see some type of conflict between Cassie being ungrateful for her cool avenger dad and one of the others maybe Kamala or riri being jealous i don’t know maybe something like that
Dominique Thorne, Kathryn Newton and Hailee Steinfeld are all 26. Even though they play young really well, it shows they really can't wait around forever to make use of these characters for Young Avengers.
What insult? When Natasha joined only one team existed. If there are to now be two, it makes sense they’d have similar yet different names; they’ll be notably younger _(and less experienced)_ than the other team’s members, et voilá! To somehow be insulted is to _actually_ be childish! 🤭
Brilliant! Plus it has the benefit of being something we haven't seen in the MCU before, a fun and wholesome fantasy adventure for kids. Thematically, it's also perfect. Besides their powers, the Young Avengers would be the most idealistic and most likely to believe in the limitless possibilities of magic. Another benefit is they'll have a lot more firepower to offer in Secret Wars to save the multiverse. Hope Feige is taking notes.
I really liked this pitch, the only problems I see is, they would have to heavily spoil wiccan and loki in the publicity in order to not be considered a "female centric" project. And while I love the story beats, there's few things that could be cut and even then, no way this story fits into a regular length movie. It would be great with the time a Disney + show gets, but would require a slimmer budget.
They're already acknowledging that several of them are well into adulthood in the Marvels post-credits. Though Hailee Steinfeld has the Tom Holland effect of still looking and acting like a kid very well
The part where Loki asks Billy to lend them his powers!! I understood that reference!! And I love it!! And the introduction of Tommy!!! AND TEDDY!! As a massive young avengers fan I LOVED this. I needed a young avengers fix after so long without new content for them. Thanks so much I was thoroughly entertained
All the hints that Marvel has been dropping about developing the Young Avengers and the introductions of so many of them the last several years has been killing me because I am so genuinely obsessed with them. I've always been a sucker for young heroes, and The Young Avengers just seem so perfect to me. This video is truly just fueling every expectation and dream I have for what Marvel could do with them, if they do things right.
I love your pitches so much because they demonstrate such a thorough understanding of the comics! The integration of conflicts that appear in the comics (Ms. Marvel vs leadership specifically, trusting Loki with borrowing power, etc.) without being an overly direct adaptation. I would say I appreciate the use of Avalon specifically for the LARP bit at the end but honestly everything about it works so well. The portal stuff reminds me of Gillen's Once and Future in the best way.
I think they should be called the Young Avengers at first in the film but later call themselves the Champions and the film should just be called "Marvel's Champions". Basically the kids learning what it means for them to be heroes outside of looking up to the Avengers. Basically a what does Gen Z as superheroes look like? What are their values and view points.
So act completely entitled and take complete ideological control of a world they didn’t build and take the credit of all the previous generations while simultaneously blaming them for everything. Amazing idea I’m legitimately think your narcissistic idea of the young replacing the old while learning absolutely nothing from the original material is absolutely on the money for where modern superhero movies are going. Cutting edge.
This is literally young justice, even vision basically being red tornado😭😭obviously the formula works though and I’m sure it’s been done multiple times before
I mean Young Justice didn't invent the concept of a teen superhero team. Its not even the most popular (that would probably be the Teen Titans) It's not very novel and the characters in this pitch don't really line up with the og Young Justice crew in the comics or the show
@@booksvsmovies i was only talking about the first maybe 15 minutes of the video, it reminded me a lot of the first few episodes of YJ. Apart from that nothing else really. And like i said its been done plenty of times before
if viewers are exhausted with alternate dimensions then marvel needs to do some work to fix that because that seems like the whole plan for the next few years
Eh, personally I view "alternate dimensions" separately from "magical otherworld", especially since the latter rarely deals with alternate versions of the regular characters, which to me is the most exhausting part of the whole multiverse affair.
characters visiting an unrecognizable magical realm is different than visiting a parallel dimension that's near identical to theirs. They might as well visit another planet. Doesnt qualify as a multiverse story
This absolutely won me over, stuff like this makes me think it’s possible for me to get back into the MCU. Also made me very nostalgic for the first season of Young Justice in the best way possible.
This is a great Idea, I especially like the idea of them being trained by the Avengers. However, I think the Young Avengers would work better as a series like Agents of Shield, multiple seasons with a bunch of episodes, and a new team-mate or two very few seasons.
It's a shame that Kang probably won't be around for the foreseeable future. I'd have loved his Iron Lad variation to make an appearance in one of these. They could do so many interesting things with that character's arc
I had an idea for the Tommy post credits scene, instead of having the kids see him, they just find a redacted file and we then cut to Vision looking at his file outside a prison before saying something like "If Billy's back then...". I thought of this since it would just be weird if Vision didn't acknowledge Billy coming back.
I've been ambivalent with Joe Locke as Wiccan, not because I don't think he's a bad fit but I think there are actors out there who I feel are a better fit for Wiccan. However, I can't think of anyone else other than Kit Connor for Hulkling. I don't even care that Kit and Joe were together in Heartstoppers. They can just declare that what happened in Heartstoppers is what happened pre-Young Avengers movie and they don't even have to write a prequel or back story for them.
Loki is enchanting the timelines, basically rewriting them so that they don't die. He is using his magic to sustain them. I suspect that he can see into them, but I can't wait to find out.
I absolutely love this! I would be 100% on board with this plan. I love how you characterized the Young Avengers and the character development you gave them was so fitting! Even the jokes were funny! Amazing job 😤🔥
Since the fantasy thing is the main genre of the pitch, there’s only two things I want: Peter Jackson directing and Howard Shore composing the music. I don’t care if that’s obvious or already been done, I want it.
This reminds me of the Weirdworld arc from the Champions comic, where the champs are transported to a fantasy D&D world, only in that they all lose their memories and their powers change to their fantasy equivalent (Ironheart as a knight etc.)
And Miles was also apart of the team. I think they can pull characters from each young team as it could help set the MCU version of young heroes apart from their comic book counterparts and the other versions. Also I want Miles to join this team alongside Peter so they can learn how to be Spidey together. And before anyone says this Peter is still very young in this universe but he doesn’t have to be a mentor figure for Miles because there’s already older, more experienced heroes still around post-endgame. He can however pass on tips on how to be a better Spider-Man to Miles while still learning how to be a more effective hero himself and gaining more experience
If you like the idea I'd recommend reading the Dark Reign: Young Avengers, it's not the same but it's still along the lines of evil/morally wrong versions of us vs us.
I think the avalon plot should be used as it's own film, but the set up was great! I loved the interactions you created between them and to use America Chavez as the plot device to separate the young avengers from the regular avengers felt organic
I wouldn't mind this although I think we will be getting Speed in Agatha. Maybe like the last 2 episodes. And maybe they Young Avengers are sent on a D Rank mission, something simple like protecting cargo, but it turns into something way bigger.
White Vision as Young Avengers liaison feels a lot like Red Tornado overseeing DC's Young Justice! It could be a storyline that emphasizes him regaining his humanity through being a surrogate father for some new super-kids. I think they also need a hero that is more than an Overseer, however. If they are supposed to learn "what it means to be a hero" than they need an idealist! What are the ideals of Marvel heroes? Who do they save other than themselves? THIS SERIES NEEDS A STRONG PROTAGONIST who is also NOT ATTACHED to anybody's backstory.
I like this pitch. Young Avengers and Midnight Suns needs to happen. I wonder if there is a way to link Avalon to the Ebony Blade? Do you have a pitch for a Heroes for Hire show? I feel like it would really help the MCU feel connected by having heaps of guest characters.
Ok this is AMAZING!!! That last post-credits scene absolutely got me! Wishing we could incorporate Teddy into the plot but I understand needing to space it all out.
My only note is that Cassie really is having the exact same story as in Quantumania - transported to a strange land and locked in a dungeon for much of it. Maybe there's a more fun way to keep them in Merlin's custody while also not in a dungeon. Perhaps they're pressed into service like R2D2 and C3PO were in Jabba's Palace. A magic spell keeps their powers in check while they're forced to clean floors or something.
5:20 really made me laugh, the idea of parents forbidding their kids from becoming superheroes is so overplayed and i think that paul rudd could be deeply hilarious as a parent signing their kid up to be a superhero the same way they'd pressure their reluctant kid into getting a job
11:51 I'm going to assume that Peter is occupied by either some more multiverse shenanigans or Johnny Storm came in his Corvette and went "Dibs!" And now Peter is with the Fantastic Four. 14:21 I can totally imagine Kamala and America doing that! 20:40 Dragons?! AVOLON!? I'm sold! Take my money now! 47:55 Well, it's not the Comics! Kid Loki but if they go with this, I think this kid will go far. 52:00 yeah, I think they should go with this Kid Loki. 53:28 ELI AND TOMMY!? 😍 TEDDDY!!!!
The only suggestion I’d offer is that there’s a potential to introduce a more confident America in this film, after having trained in Kamar-Taj. It could offer a contrast to the greener members of the team, and could add some momentum to the final act. Also, have you co soldered sourcing fan art for some of these visualizations?
Note: I don't think Kate would have insecurities about not having powers. She grew up idolizing Clint above all the other Avengers. In her well established view, a bow and arrow basically *is* a superpower. She might have insecurities about not measuring up to Clint, but not jealousy of Kamala.
I can't wait for a Young Avengers movie and I love your pitch but I have a few issues with it. 1. I'm not super on board with the medieval setting but I also don't see a better option other than removing all current adult heroes entirely. 2. I think Speed, Patriot and Hulkling should be on the team from the start and people like Kid Loki should come later. I also feel that the movie should spend more time on bringing the team together rather than having four of them gathering in the first 5 minutes and the rest come later conveniently. 3. My last issue is that this entire pitch depends on there being an Avengers which at the moment don't exist and I think it'd be more comic and in-universe accurate if they come together on their own rather than their Avenger mentors push them together like some Avengers-supported superhero kids club.
yes the third point is absolutely correct, at the end of The Marvels clearly it is Kamala's idea to form a team of young heroes and there isn't really much of an Avengers team except for some zoom hologrphic meetings, much less an Avengers HQ
1. The medieval setting is functionally identical to the quantum realm, not an issue just depends on execution. 2. We need to keep the team roster small for a first outing. Avengers 2012 gave each of the big 4 their movie and the rest of the team had cameos in those films. 2b. This pitch is trying to cram a lot into 2 hours. These 4 need to be together already having been trained for a while to give it a running start. Change the format to a 6 hour series and sure we can spend that first episode bringing them together. 3. This proves the need to nurture the next generation of heroes. Tony Stark AI or White Viz himself could logically decide to assemble a new team. Hulk could be the one to do it in memory of Natasha since the last thing she was doing was organising the Avengers. The whole point is Thanos came and decimated everyone because there were no Avengers at that time. They weren't prepared. Someone - Hulk, Fury, Sam, Viz, Kamala, whoever - is going to learn from that mistake and make sure it never happens again.
As a Young Avengers fan i must say that a loved the history u came up, just wish Wiccan had a bigger role, the are so many ideas of this video that i wish end up in the mcu, but i have my own line-up in mind: Hawkeye/Kate Bishop Patriot/Elijah Bradley Miss Marvel/Kamala Khan Hulkling/Teddy Altman Wiccan/Billy Maximoff Stature/Cassie Lang Others could be add in future movies
Going off Kid Loki taking Billy’s magic (which is when he becomes Teen Loki in the comics) and calling himself Regular Loki later, I guess this is aging him up? If so, they could get a man and a woman to play this new Loki to do Loki’s gender-switching from the comics! Maybe even get Sophia Di Martino and Tom Hiddleston specifically.
I’d have it be a throwback coming of age adventure horror movie like It, The Goonies, Monster Squad or The Lost Boys, in which The Young Avengers get trapped in The Marvel Zombies universe and have to fight monstrous versions of their mentors/idols, The Avengers. I feel that would give the film an edge and unique angle to separate it from the rest of what we’ve been getting lately from the MCU. The Duffer brothers would be my pick to direct it as well, coming off the final season of Stranger Things.
When I first heard Dragons I immediately thought they were in K'un L'un. I totally forgot that they're dragons in Avalon. Another dimension could've went to was Weirdworld. That place doesn't exclusively belong to one hero or team.
Miles is a Sony character. He can't be in a Young Avengers movie unless Sony does another deal with Marvel; even then, Miles (like Peter) will need Sony approval for every appearance.
hard to pull off since the Peter we have now is fresh in college, meanwhile Miles' story works best when Peter is the veteran can't say I'm not down with Peter and Miles being more like bros rather than teacher and student tho
Love the concept of team frictions For the Midnight Sons some commonalities can be Blade and Elsa being professional monster hunters and killers, Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night having ties to the moon and maybe have met before same thing can apply to Jack and Blade both being cursed, Dane and Steven work in museums, and some big frictions would be if Jake Lockley came be trusted and not betray teammates, can the Werewolf be tamed and not attack teammates, can the team trust Dane Witman with the ebony blade as he’s new to it, etc
I always saw the Young Avengers as the Teen Titans of the Marvel Universe, and though I do prefer the Teen Titans as young superheroes growing to become their own heroes, I do like the idea of the Young Avengers. After reading some of their comics, I can see a lot of potential, especially with them slowly teasing the Young Avengers and building them up.
great pitch i just dont think Cassie is the right choice for leader, especially if its between her and Kate. i think maybe making the leader thing between Kate and Riri, make Cassie the more rebelious one that is acting out when scared because of the dad thing you said. bc it makes sense for Kate to not end up being the leader for her arc in this pitch, but idk that part didnt make much sense imo
I can picture Kate being perched up high surveying the field in order to give orders and call outs and as a callback to Hawkeye's first appearance where he's sitting in the crow's nest. But, it would be different from Cap who was always in the field and on the front line doing most of work most of the time while also leading the team. Kate can't really do that without being a Super soldier. That is ripe for drama though. Why is Kate even on the team? Riri can do what she can better. Maybe if Kate take super soldier serum or hulk juice she can feel more useful to the team. Maybe Iron Lad or Patriot show up in Young Avengers 2 and strongarm leadership away from her and she leaves the team then joins AIM or the ten rings or something and becomes Ronin 2.0
People Seat back and say the Young Avengers would be trash and those are people who arent truly fans because this vid was just one example of so many amazing stories that could be told with them
46:35 that's exactly the kind of thing Marvel should be doing to connect it's movies/shows, but it seems that's too much to ask from them. Glad we have you Nando, at least we can dream together
They're connecting their stories just fine, I swear people complained that it was too interconnected, now they're complaining there's not enough connection
They should definitely take inspiration from the Young Justice series, it tackled a lot of things mentioned here super well, I think in general it was a very realistic depiction of what it would be like to be a young super hero
I honestly enjoyed it. But if it were to be made exactly as you narrated, I would be sad cause I was basically spoiled lol. But yeah, I like it. Also, Then the Wiccan of this pitch won't be the Wiccan that uses magic in form of Thunder? If it where the Lightning weilding Wiccan, I would look forward to him having a bit of interaction with Thor AND Kid Loki. Edit: I also thought that the part where Loki is borrowing powers from Billy is the part where Loki is tricking Billy into stealing his magic. (Like that arc Battle Against Mother)
This is awesome! Your videos are great they even helped me in writing my own stories on things like this. I would love to see what you could do with something like the Secret Warriors using agents of shield Daisy and using members from the Animated show like Inferno America chavez Doreen Green Ms marvel, Iron Heart, Patriot, Ghost Spider and even add in new characters like maybe Reptil or White Tiger. Having the secret warriors be what shield was for the avengers for the young avengers. They have to stop threats before they become Young avenger level threats
This is a great pitch given the pieces there are to work with! I think the main issue that Marvel have painted themselves into with the young avengers is that a lot of them have the same powers as the main avengers, either by being their kid (eg. Billy, Skar, Cassie) or just being a fan (e.g. Kate, Riri) and they don't really have any other unique abilities to show off. Kamala is the only one with a unique power set so it feels abit like just watching the Avengers but they're just a bit worse. Still, I am excited to see what they do with these characters going forward and whether they will all be a part of the same team or not.
I love the idea, but I can't imagine the movie really grabbing viewers with the "generic fantasy dimension". We've gotten so many generic alternate dimensions recently, that even more feels like it's begging for theatre walk-outs. Maybe that's just me tho... They'd have to make that dimension really visually interesting to hold my attention.
I was surprised/a little disappointed in the team makeup off the bat just because I did like Iron Lad, Patriot, and Noh-Varr, but I understand how this makes the most sense based on what we already have. All that said, this is a really solid (and fairly detailed) pitch. Again, Avalon seemed an odd choice, but it works, I like how it's used and how it uses the characters. Kate's relationship with America and Cassie in the comics is one of my favourite aspects of each character, so I am quite happy to see them together at last, I hope they have chemistry. Wasn't sure about Kid Loki (I was honestly a bit let down/disappointed with him in Loki), but you nailed a solid small role for him. I don't have a lot to say, really, but I quite liked and enjoyed this (especially that ending twist with their return from Avalon, exactly what I wanted - you could even have Kate see Grills and his LARPers, as a wink to the show).
Well that was ridiculously phenomenal. Fill in with great character banter and some silly pet shenanigans and you've got a grade A film. People will probably label it "fun" like they did The Marvels, but honestly, that's okay right now. I don't think everything needs to be held to such an extreme standard, because then it's too doomed to fail by not reaching the bar. This sounds like a great movie to bring forward some really great characters into their own. We should probably get started soon though because at this rate, half of these "teen" actors are going to need to be de-aged... Sigh
I just hope that by the time of Riri's next appearance in the MCU(her show, Young Avengers, whatever) they redesign her armor and get rid of the giant shoulders
Great pitch! Biggest question I have is how the heck do we explain Teddy with what the MCU has done for the Kree/Skrull? I'm sure it could be done, but I don't know what that would look like.
As another commenter here said, I like the idea of this Young Avengers team evolving into the Champions. Like they realize they may have started out as Avengers, but they aren't them. Plus, Kamala is kind of known for being on the Champions. The explanation of Avalon being chosen as a setting due to the team consisting of an archer, a knight, a giant, and a wizard is of course, brilliant. And integrating the Thor 2 Selvig's comedic scene into a plot point that actually makes here is fantastic.

Wow! This was a great pitch for a Young Avenger movie. The Avalon setting really would set it apart from the formation of the adult Avengers, plus Merlin and his knights would make for a fun first opponent. This was well written and well detailed, I hope we get to see something like this.
Young justice ripped off and not acknowledged at all
Why would that matter? No idea is original@@kiddain349
@@kiddain349It's not really a ripoff if both exist as comics.
Not Nando giving us Billy and Teddy fanservice as a post credit scene 😅 I love those two characters so much, and it's very cute that you picked the Heartstopper boys as a fancast. Love this pitch!
kit conner as teddy would actually be so awesome. but joe lock isn’t a fan cast he actually is going to be billy in the agatha show
I cant wait to see that
BRO, we dont even REALLY know who's on the normal Avengers team right now.

Dominique Thorne, Kathryn Newton and Hailee Steinfeld are all 26. Even though they play young really well, it shows they really can't wait around forever to make use of these characters for Young Avengers.
They only need to be younger than the actual Avengers (whoever they even are), which they'll never NOT be. 🙂
Tobey was 27 when he started playing spiderman, so age should not be a big problem
@@StaminaMC Yeah but I'm sure it'll add some insult when they remember Natasha was 26 in IM2 and 28 when she joined the Avengers.
@@rjk537 He was 27 playing a 17 year old, and it showed.
True this is more of a 6 episode series rather than a 2 hour movie
They're already acknowledging that several of them are well into adulthood in the Marvels post-credits. Though Hailee Steinfeld has the Tom Holland effect of still looking and acting like a kid very well
She said she's in her early 20s so she would still be considered a "Young" Avenger
I recall she’s a college senior in series , so it’s not a big issue
Mapping the superheroes to classic medieval archetypes is so clever.
Absolutely criminal that Marvel hasn't hired Nando to start writing these things yet. I'd absolutely go see this movie in a heartbeat.

Young Justice was at least about popular and interesting characters.
These are some of the least interesting and least popular characters i. the MCU
I mean Young Justice didn't invent the concept of a teen superhero team. Its not even the most popular (that would probably be the Teen Titans) It's not very novel and the characters in this pitch don't really line up with the og Young Justice crew in the comics or the show

I would absolutely LOVE to see a sequel to this!!!
I like the idea of giving them their own world to justify them being heroes, but I think viewers are exhausted by alternate dimensions.
if viewers are exhausted with alternate dimensions then marvel needs to do some work to fix that because that seems like the whole plan for the next few years
Eh, personally I view "alternate dimensions" separately from "magical otherworld", especially since the latter rarely deals with alternate versions of the regular characters, which to me is the most exhausting part of the whole multiverse affair.
Thinking like an idiot executive or idiot critic. It doesn't matter what is done it matters how it's done.
characters visiting an unrecognizable magical realm is different than visiting a parallel dimension that's near identical to theirs. They might as well visit another planet. Doesnt qualify as a multiverse story

This is a great Idea, I especially like the idea of them being trained by the Avengers. However, I think the Young Avengers would work better as a series like Agents of Shield, multiple seasons with a bunch of episodes, and a new team-mate or two very few seasons.
Imagine Kate bullshitting her way through a castle to free her friends.
Marvel's Narnia is such a funny way to pitch Young Avengers
It's a shame that Kang probably won't be around for the foreseeable future. I'd have loved his Iron Lad variation to make an appearance in one of these. They could do so many interesting things with that character's arc
I don't think they'll give up on Kang entirely. I do think the following Kang variants might look different than the preceding ones.
OK, that “Skrulls can’t do that“ line is pretty brilliant.
Im not lying, but finding out Cassie would be the real leader actually brought tears to my eyes. It's a great arc.
whenever a new Nando video pops up on my timeline, I always light up with excitement! I'm sure this one's gonna be great as well
It isn’t I’m sorry
Nando knows what an "isekai" is since Diggens told him on the pod but he refuses to say it in case Kevin is watching.
This reminds me of the Weirdworld arc from the Champions comic, where the champs are transported to a fantasy D&D world, only in that they all lose their memories and their powers change to their fantasy equivalent (Ironheart as a knight etc.)
Everytime someone remembers them I tear up a little. Champs barely get any content

I cannot tell you how insanely talented you are. This was amazing! I feel like I just watched this movie.
Timing the edible with the new Nando pitch… fantastic.
Imagining Cassidy having a squeaky voice in her tiny form for half of the movie is the funniest thing ever. 😂

I really appreciate these rewrites where the avengers are an active force and aren't just occasionally referenced through a billboard or something.
As a Young Avengers fan i must say that a loved the history u came up, just wish Wiccan had a bigger role, the are so many ideas of this video that i wish end up in the mcu, but i have my own line-up in mind:
Hawkeye/Kate Bishop
Patriot/Elijah Bradley
Miss Marvel/Kamala Khan
Hulkling/Teddy Altman
Wiccan/Billy Maximoff
Stature/Cassie Lang
Others could be add in future movies
One idea I heard was if or when the MCU does Miles Morales they have him join this team.
A star like Miles could actually uplift this entire project and save it from bombing at the box office
Miles is a Sony character. He can't be in a Young Avengers movie unless Sony does another deal with Marvel; even then, Miles (like Peter) will need Sony approval for every appearance.
hard to pull off since the Peter we have now is fresh in college, meanwhile Miles' story works best when Peter is the veteran
can't say I'm not down with Peter and Miles being more like bros rather than teacher and student tho
Great editing with this … you’re great
Love the concept of team frictions
For the Midnight Sons some commonalities can be Blade and Elsa being professional monster hunters and killers, Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night having ties to the moon and maybe have met before same thing can apply to Jack and Blade both being cursed, Dane and Steven work in museums, and some big frictions would be if Jake Lockley came be trusted and not betray teammates, can the Werewolf be tamed and not attack teammates, can the team trust Dane Witman with the ebony blade as he’s new to it, etc
Im so excited for this, I dont know if it would ever happen but it would be great.
This is like the best possible plan for this movie, and I'm mad it most likely won't be anything like this
I always saw the Young Avengers as the Teen Titans of the Marvel Universe, and though I do prefer the Teen Titans as young superheroes growing to become their own heroes, I do like the idea of the Young Avengers. After reading some of their comics, I can see a lot of potential, especially with them slowly teasing the Young Avengers and building them up.
The champions are more of the teen titan team then the young avengers

Having the secret warriors be what shield was for the avengers for the young avengers. They have to stop threats before they become Young avenger level threats
I want to make a champions film
The B Roll in this is giving me life lol: Narnia, Gandalf, Black Knight, Brightburn, D&D.
The editing is great.
Thanks I work with a wonderful editor who handles the bulk of it and it really brings these pitches to life.
20mins in and I've already mentally bought my second ticket to this movie 😅 And a Martin Lawrence Black Knight reference perfect!!!
I simply love this pitch Nando! Such a fun movie concept for a Young Avengers film!
This pich is one of the best MCU movie ideas i ever saw on youtube.
Sigh
I feel like this pitch would be a lot more impactful for stature if Scott died in Quantumania

The explanation of Avalon being chosen as a setting due to the team consisting of an archer, a knight, a giant, and a wizard is of course, brilliant.
And integrating the Thor 2 Selvig's comedic scene into a plot point that actually makes here is fantastic.
