    I cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH. Your video was SO HELPFUL that I was able to do this on my own representing all the FEMALES out there doin' it DIY style tryin to save that money! I literally said to myself out loud as I was embarking on all the loosening of the nuts, "Thank you handsome mechanic guy for making that video" and everything went smoothly. I even did it with a flashlight on at 7:30pm (not a smart idea but that's how well it went). Thank you again John! *SUBCRIBED*

      @michaelrasnick1376 yes you can, it's a small bolt. Just put it flush with the sensor and then slightly more. Just snug is good.

      Check the inside of the connector, sometimes a female tabs get pushed too far apart and sometimes oil gets inside there also. You can take like a little ice pick or something and push those tab closer together and spray some electrical contact cleaner inside and blow it out with some computer air

    Hey, so I replaced my sensor with a new one since I had a random missfire and was getting the P2034 code. Once I replaced it with the new sensor the car refused to start. I then put the old sensor back in, and it will run, but now has a rough idle. It feels like the timing has retarded quite a bit. Would you know why the new sensor would cause the car not to start?

      @@MrDellion214 Unfortunately not really. I brought it into our family mechanic and asked if he could take a look, and he got his own sensor to put in and he said it worked just fine when he did it. So my best guess is that it's just a faulty sensor

    I have a 98 galant carburetor engine (4g93). The issues are: crank no start(backfires sometime, I'm thinking, "bad timing, poor air fuel mixture) , blinking neutral light once the shifter goes into Drive and the rpm is mad low.( no issues in reverse)... any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks

    • @JohnSadlersAutoRepair
      @JohnSadlersAutoRepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Wesley, I would remove the distributor cap first and look for cracks inside it. The remove the upper timing belt cover to inspect the belt condition. Sometimes they will jump one tooth and run poorly the way your describing.

      Yes it will start... 02 Mitsubishi eclipse 2.4l... I also took the fuel pump out and put a battery to it and it worked... I put the fuel pump back in car with a battery to it started the car and it ran as well...but when I plug the harness back up nothing ..I don't hear the pump prime or nothing at all...im thinking the fuel pump relay or the mfi relay that shuts the fuel pump down..I'm trying everything... sometimes it starts sometimes it don't...but never when driving already....thanks for replying back...I just purchased the manual so hopefully I'll find something soon...
