The reason shorts work best when it comes to gen Z is because they have short attention span. That's why TikTok is more popular among that generation. I will continue to make content for both platforms but put my focus on short, more expressive videos (and then I boost them on one other platform to get that sweet kick start).

Wonderful tips. I noticed lots of TH-camrs are claiming that starting a new channel will be saturated and super difficult for new creators. The reason they say that is because they do not want you to take a piece of the cake. It will never be saturated and there's always more room for new creators. However I did notice that all the influencers are just keeping the real methods to themselves. I understood that after reading an eBook. No one is talking about how to outrank competitor videos, how to bring additional traffic outside YT, how to do proper off page SEO etc etc..

I had a serious health issue last year and had to stay away from creating content and because of that my channel went down. I started creating again this month and the views are not going high. This is an encouragement to all the new youtubers. I know that it seems that TH-cam is saturated and competitive but know that you are different and people can subscribe to hundreds of subscribers. It may be slow and time consuming but when it takes off you won't even notice the scars.

I used to be subscribed at one point to about 800 different people. Some of the people I subscribed to had millions of subscribers, but most ranged from below 1,000-50,000ish. You aren't wrong at all.

Hey man, is there any way you know if shorts should be 1080x1920 or if going 4k for them is better? I make my videos at 4k but since shorts are mostly mobile content I imagine that would be a worse choice huh?

Thanks for the video. I've been testing shorts for about a month now. It's interesting how easy it is to get thousands of views. I've been telling my team about hashtags, but they're reluctant to use more than the range of 3-5. So, thanks for your testing and the limit you quoted, I shared it with them immediately. I've always felt that all social media platforms are OK with more than couple of hashtags, TH-cam is obviously very gracious. Will start testing that ASAP.

I’ve been on TH-cam for 5 years and have seen very little growth. I can obviously see so much wrong with my old videos. I just wasn’t taking the time to learn the skill of content creation. It really is an art form. Going into 2023 I’m dedicating time to learning because I think that’s how I’ll see growth 📈

Great video. I used the first tip by turning a long form video into a short and I went from 35 subs to 45 subs in an hour. All the best to everyone grinding on this youtube platform. May you realize your dreams sooner rather than later.
Ever experienced sudden drop in views or is it the algorithm is re-adjusting something?
@@motivationtube5399 I never really had a lot of views to begin with. Lol. I did experience when one of my long form videos had 162 views, then the very next one had 52. My most recent have 6 and 0. So the algorithm is finicky I guess.
