As Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu . Dr.Umar was not upon Al Islam. He was upon Assabiyya aka Nationalism which Rasulullah SAW taught us was rotten and to reject. Allah the Most High said " La kum din ukum walia din ( unto them their religion, unto us ours )" .
Brother damn near confirmed what Dr. Umar said. I love Islam but I don’t like that it’s primarily being used in the community like the Christianity that many of us left.
Nigerians don't act or dress like the Arab to worship God. The Senegalese don't dress or act like the Arab to worship God. He needs to stop. The nation of Islam has been supporting the community for decades. His reasoning is invalid. Thank you, brother, for this video. May Allah bless you and grant you ease
Dr. Umar said he was muslim not nation of Islam which is very pro black.... just because your black and practice islam it doesnt mean that you are NOI. You are assuming he was that, when he could of just been a muslim..... So umars experience could of been different than that of The NOI. Or even of the 5%er's.
I Think you are missing Umars point.... Umar was basically saying that the community of the religion he practiced felt that their religion was more important than the liberation of black people in a whole sense. Umar is really saying that he didnt want to just sit by and watch his people suffer because his religion said so...... He wanted to get closer to and understand more what it was to be black and why being black is so widely destroyed through history. Studying religion doesnt explain the soulful and rich history of race. Accept is you are of a religion that speaks about race and religion such as the NOI and the black hebrew israelites which still cannot unite all black people because of their strict superior mindset. So you speak on him looking at things as a person that is superior but also your religion and all other religions do THE EXACT SAME THING! So if Dr umar is going to particpate in a superior mindset no matter where he goes or chooses then he figured he might aswell choose the side that he is already born into. And if you choose not to particapte in a superior mindset and participate in this society then you are still participating in White Supremacy without you knowing and truly understanding how their nations are built off of the Aryan Caste System. If you really did your research on youe own skin color you would know this.

It's an Arabic religion started by Arabic people to worship an Arab-centric God. I'll say this much, it shares more in comment with Judaism than Christianity. It stays consistent and sticks to its founding culture. Christianity, on the other hand, tries to blend and change to stay relevant, which may help its popularity but not its authenticity. Not that I believe in any of these religions, or any for that matter, but I will give credit where it's due as far as consistency goes. Love it or hate it, Islam hasn't been modified nearly as much as Christianity, as far as I know.

@@Tiarka yeah but that is an issue of the arabs that islam came to fix. how is it fair for him to blame islam for human errors? when the prophet pbuh came with islam, even the Arabs said that "islam isnt our culture, we already have our own ways, this is not what our ancestors did" etc. they were a racist and tribalistic people. they didnt discriminate just black ppl, but also people of the same race from other tribes. our black ancestors did the exact same thing. we were extrememly and still are extremely tribalistic and its a huge factor for why so many african governments are riddled with corruption. because politicians will get elected and favour their family and tribe instead of their people and fuel animosity and division in their countries. our ancestors waged wars against other tribes and sold their slaves and prisoners to the whites and jews and other tribes only for them to be further ensalved and tortured in America. this fantasy that precolonial africa was this paradise for our people, where we were all strong and living peacefully and harmoniously and spiritually enlightened by our african religions is far from the actual truth. and they all know that but they talk as if our people didnt have cultural flaws as well before the white man came. (obviously some tribes and kingdoms were pretty peaceful and spiritual, I'm generalizing) We've commited atrocities against eachother even tho we are supposed to be the same race. should we now also walk away from our african or black identity because of this? are we not commiting gang and gun violence on the daily and mistreating our fellow men women and children? Yet Umar will stand up for the black community and try and fix it instead of just blaming black ppl and walking away which is honorable and common sense. but when it comes to islam, he wont take a stand and try to fix the muslim community? why? instead he just blames the religion. i dont think thats fair. Yes there is a big racism issue in the ummah from the islamic slave trade up until today. maroccans will slaughter african immigrants, lybians enslave us, arabs torure us. i get that umar has an issue with this but walking away isnt the solution, especially since he didnt walk away when it came to black atrocities. i still appreciate what he does for the black community tho.
Yeah bro you didn’t disprove anything he validated. I think you misunderstood what he was explaining. His priority is helping his people not at the detriment of others. Focus is needed where equality is not paralleled
I am Muslim African American and I get what Umar Johnson was saying. We all know what the Quran and Hadith says, that's basic Islam 101. The problem that he has, is the outward appearance or cosmetic look of the leadership and how they only focus on rituals and don't know how to apply the deen in the environment they live in. There are masajid that are 90% black American and the Imam is of immigrant descent and they don't understand the sensitivity of black Muslims, especially those that are in ghetto environments. Some of these Imams don't care about what goes on in the hood, just like a Christian preacher who has a church in the ghetto, and is only concerned with putting his congregation on a spiritual high, avoiding what is going on in that area.
the community should own their community. how is it that an immigrant comes to a US ghetto and takes over the imam position? was it because the community couldn't organically produce such a figure? if not, naturally an outsider will fulfill that role as a Muslim community needs a source of knowledge in Islamic matters and principles. over time maybe some will arise from them.
@@axch2983 Black people have an identity crisis, meaning that, some of us don't have knowledge of self and mental slavery, thinking that the "other" man is superior, in this case the immigrant man.
@@defrocker0569 i humbly believe every mosque is doing something for their community. add to that the Muslims in community or mosque can start many organic drives by uniting. if a group of Muslims are meeting in a mosque on a regular basis, thats the roots for any change and revolution even.

As a black muslim I understand where you're coming from brother but Dr Umar is not wrong. Mainstream Islam (Sunni and Ithna Ashera) has been tainted with Racism or as Arabs say "unsuriyya" and thats a fact.
Are u following the religion or the people? Most of the so-called Arabs today are not even Arabs, the majority just speak the language and come from different ethnicities. Arabs were never huge in population. The original Arabs may not even be around, they are very small.
We shouldn't follow any sects for the sects will not make it to junnah. The "Muslims" who fully submit their life to Allah will. You aren't a true Muslim if you are racist
Ithna Ashariyya is not mainstream. Dr Umar did not present Racism as his main point for leaving lol. The points he presented were very easily dealt with the brother here.
This is why education is important. As a west African Muslim, i know what areas are purely Islam and what are just Arab culture. I value my culture. I separate Islam from Arab culture. Some have mixed it in the religion true but again, that’s why we need to educate ourselves. If it is not shirk, I practice my culture. There are some Arab cultural practices that are also against Islam. So you don’t follow blindly just because they are arab
I once heard a brother that was also Muslim. Got sent off to a arab land to learn islam by his father by the time he returned he said he found it hard to love his own people. That's the point whether we are Muslims or not one thing is for certain we are black / African and Islam doesnt stop you from getting your as kicked by the system. They just murdered that Muslim brother in the pen killed him. So i understand what umar is saying and its true
May Allah guide him back. I don't wish hellfire for anybody but that's the reality for some of these folks who saw the HAQ but turned away they are worse off than the ignorant at least they have an excuse in the hereafter. I wish him the best. In this life and the next.
I believe that the guy has problems with Arabs and then blame Islam for it, but just for him to know that it was Islam that abolish slavery in the middle east, when Bilal was freed and join Islam, then became the most respected black person in Islam ,still he was not an Arab.
A black man walks into a masjid full of middle easterns, and they barely even speak, a new white revert walks in and they go crazy with shock and embrace him, I’m a Muslim and has always had an issue with this, he is right about certain aspects, but his reason for leaving is because he lacked the proper education, if he studied Islam they way he studies African deities and spirituality, he would probably be an Arabic speaking Imam. May Allah Guide Him
Dr Umar is a monotheist. That's what Islam came to teach. He wants to uplift the black community because of the harm and disenfranchisement we experience. I see nothing wrong with what he has said. He is criticising 'Muslims' - not Islam. What he chooses to practice alongside his monotheism is his choice. He is not compelled to follow Arab customs and traditions compiled in numerous unreliable hadith. And neither is any other person claiming to be Muslim. It is not for us to say what is and what isn't an acceptable reason to step away from the belief that the Qur'an is the word of God. The Qur'an itself emphasizes that every people had a messenger from their own kin. This shows that God acknowledges the importance of receiving a message from a source that you trust. Given the history of Eurasians towards Africans, it is very reasonable for a Pan-African to find any message coming from the Eurasian community untrustworthy and to seek a message from God through his own kin. The true God would not require Africans to accept his message at the hands of our oppressors. Thus there must be a route to God through our own history and culture for those who are justly and genuinely distrusting of what comes through the Eurasian cultures. I believe sura 2, verse 62, was revealed specifically for people like Dr Umar.
He couldn’t have missed any harder. That was a brick. And nationalism was an invention of the west. Every member of the global south who copied that formula of nationalism found themselves taken advantage by the colonial powers and at odds with their neighbors and allies
Every black man and women should read Dawud Walid’s Centring the Black Narrative, Tarikh asSudan (al-sa’di), Tarikh alFattash (al-Hajj Mahmoud Kati), and The Excellence of Black Peoples (imam Suyyuti). Then ask yourself if Umar Johnson’s claim that Black people’s have no place in Islam is true??
Peace and Black Power Bro, I'm a former imam in the akllusunni wa jaamah. Dr.Umar was correct. But imma go a step further. The printing press was made in the 1400 in Germany. Where did books come from prior? I know Islamic seerah(history, ). Now, the Quran mention the same fairy tale people mention in the Bible. I say that because there's no grave sites, burial tomb for anyone mention in the Bible. It's all bs. Bro. I call myself a munafikuun, and I wear it proudly. Against daawah.
He identifies more with his skin colour than his religion. It’s a choice. I think people should just let him. I seen he was full of crap when the genocide started and he said it was not black people problem. Listen Allah is exposing the realness of our heart and this guy identity as a black man is literally his personality and it’s also how he makes money. God luck to him. Allah guides whom he wills.

Best response ❤ thanks for sharing your thoughts and educating us about Islam
DR. UMAR SPOKE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!
😂😂 What truth exactly??

MashaaAllah, a perfect response brother. 👍
Well put brother Ali. Whomsoever Allah SWT guides none can lead astray and whomever Allah SWT leads astray none can guide. He had the opportunity to be on the right path and follow the right religion but unfortunately let his nationalism ideology take precedent over his religion.
African spiritualist here, I follow my ancestors. Who is ancestors are you following?
Who are your ancestors? & Who did they worshipped? Not being funny either just asking?
@ Igodomigodo look it up. Blessing to you by the way. I did not take it as a jab by the way.
I hope Dr. Umar sees this video and receives it with an open heart❤️ and an open mind 🧠. In Sha Allah.
Thank you brother for clarification.
Wa Alaikum Salaam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh Akhi
Brother damn near confirmed what Dr. Umar said. I love Islam but I don’t like that it’s primarily being used in the community like the Christianity that many of us left.
Big up my Afro-American muslims.
Love from an Indian muslim ❤
One ummah....
You are a liar.. I am a nigerian .. All nigerian moslems dress like arab and the beat them to learn arabic
Dr. Umar said he was muslim not nation of Islam which is very pro black.... just because your black and practice islam it doesnt mean that you are NOI. You are assuming he was that, when he could of just been a muslim..... So umars experience could of been different than that of The NOI. Or even of the 5%er's.
Jazak Allah brother Ali.
He wud rather wear a t-shirt n jeans n talk English-oh wait r those black culture???no thats the culture of Anglo Saxons I wud think.
Hmmmm
Loved what you said brother! Preach on! Inshallah i xan visit uour mosque one day.
What is your religion if you don’t mind me asking
@@brianbaker4613 it doesnt matter. I want to speak about the subject at hand.

We as adults should be educated enough to know if we are being fooled, so if you dont know how tell who the enemy is by now then you and people like you are blind.....
He should practice what he preaches, drop the English language, drop the western clothing and practice what his ancestors practiced.. it's hypocrisy to criticize Arabic language and culture while following European culture 😂
Umar is a crook who has been ripping off black people for over 10 years for that fake school that will never be made.
GOOD INFORMATION MY BROTHER … MASHA ALLAH 🙌🏾
It's an Arabic religion started by Arabic people to worship an Arab-centric God. I'll say this much, it shares more in comment with Judaism than Christianity. It stays consistent and sticks to its founding culture. Christianity, on the other hand, tries to blend and change to stay relevant, which may help its popularity but not its authenticity. Not that I believe in any of these religions, or any for that matter, but I will give credit where it's due as far as consistency goes. Love it or hate it, Islam hasn't been modified nearly as much as Christianity, as far as I know.
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته 🇲🇾
Peace be onto you, brother!
Masha Allaah Baarakallaah Legendary Answers Brother AliDaBarber.
You make good points. All Dr Umar, is going to say. " What institutions for black people have they built. Hospitals, bands, or schools. " How many black men have they employed. Are they leading the fight against racism.?
Beautiful reminder bro!
As-salaam alaikum wa rahmahtullah wa barakatuh, the picture of the dog. Subanahallah 🤣
what the hell is black mosque?
An African woman told me this about the difference between us in America and them in Africa she eas right.
I feel Umar, I think he has a point that shouldn’t be dismissed so readily.
What part do you feel if you don’t mind which part
@@brianbaker4613 Well, there are many benefits to the religion as far as spirituality, organization, morality, etc. But we all see the bias and the attitude towards Africans. As soon as Libya fell, you seen them kidnapping and selling Africans. The stuff with Sudan. The fact that the prophet (pbuh) had to instruct them about specifically the treatment of African s…..was that in the Prophet’s imagination or was it a real problem? That’s why I can understand what Umar is saying (on this point, not on others).
If you are Muslim when he say what prophet Muhammad said you stop and listen . If you prefer crazy racist man like Omar then you have some thing wrong with you and faith.
@@Tiarka The truth is as Rasullah S.A said "Indeed, Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange just as it began, so glad tidings of paradise be for the strangers". Mainstream Islam Sunnism and Shiism is just based on Arab/Iranian culture, only Hanifism is the real religion.
(obviously some tribes and kingdoms were pretty peaceful and spiritual, I'm generalizing)
We've commited atrocities against eachother even tho we are supposed to be the same race. should we now also walk away from our african or black identity because of this? are we not commiting gang and gun violence on the daily and mistreating our fellow men women and children?
@@axch2983 I don't know about the leadership of the Masjid he was from, but like I said that's always the case with some of the masajid in the "HOOD".
@@axch2983 I beg to differ. There are many masajid that do nothing for the community. I don't know where you live, but I'm from Jersey.

@@The-Heart-Will-Testify your prophets Mohammed own black slaves
We shouldn't follow any sects for the sects will not make it to junnah. The "Muslims" who fully submit their life to Allah will. You aren't a true Muslim if you are racist
Ithna Ashariyya is not mainstream. Dr Umar did not present Racism as his main point for leaving lol. The points he presented were very easily dealt with the brother here.
You tell him brother.
People need to subscribe to this channel and support our brother
He is practicing black magic smh
Those of u who don't know Islam it's so simple come join us Islam means doing or submitting in the will of God
Well said brother
Bless you brother, and reward you
If you are happy praying... then pray. Dr. Umar has right to his own destiny.
Loool hearing that black Muslim talk Arabic after literally made Dr Umars point clear to see in real time 😭😭
A black man walks into a masjid full of middle easterns, and they barely even speak, a new white revert walks in and they go crazy with shock and embrace him, I’m a Muslim and has always had an issue with this, he is right about certain aspects, but his reason for leaving is because he lacked the proper education, if he studied Islam they way he studies African deities and spirituality, he would probably be an Arabic speaking Imam.
May Allah Guide Him
ALMIGHTY ALLAH IS THE LIGHT OF THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. ALLAH GUIDES TO HIS LIGHT WHOM HE CHOOSES.
God bless you my brother!

Dr UMAR is right on point.
He couldn’t have missed any harder. That was a brick.
And nationalism was an invention of the west. Every member of the global south who copied that formula of nationalism found themselves taken advantage by the colonial powers and at odds with their neighbors and allies
He speaks English, wears jeans, has an American flag shirt, but his issue was that Islamic texts were in Arabic?
It's always the black nationalist that speak English that hate Arabic 😂😂
