Black men love to go on social media and call black women toxic. You should never stereotype black women. Just like black men hate when other races profile them as thugs, killers, drug addiction, rapist, thief. Then praise other women in other communities. Talk about the Karen's who called the police and have you put in jail or murdered. Look at the innocent black female who was murdered when she called the police and shot in the face. Trump will give all officers immunity next year. I guess alot of people will get a job as a police officer. So black men go ahead an vote red for Trump. Folks dont mind shooting black women due to black men hate for the black women.

I taught students who should not have been it and I refused to sign any paperwork that would put some of them in it! We know that there are students who need those services, but it is not everyone. I tutored a young man who passed every part of the high school graduation exam in my state and he had a special education IEP! He should not have been in Special Education period! He told me that he did not want that stigma on him. He wanted his diploma to get him a job or put him on the path to a college degree! He was determined and I was so proud of him! Parents! A lot of them parents are just looking for a check for that child. My sister was going to put my nephew in special Ed and she knew he was smart. He has anger issues, but that alone doesn't constitute needing special education. He was already in a predominantly white school getting into fights regularly. Having the stigma of being in special Ed would have made his behavior even worse. Smh

I beg to differ. Many of the Black men who ARE out there doing the darn thing were raised by single Black women, aunties, grandmothers, and others, but these women get no credit. We only focus on the dysfunctional children and solely blame the mother, while forgetting that she was most likely molested into having the first few kids as a child herself. I wish we could pause the conversation on blaming Black women, since there literally would be no Black men without them.

I absolutely agree with Dr. Umar about traumatized people should not date, at least for a while until they clean up all the baggage and wreckage from their past. I know because I'm a perfect example. After a disastrous marriage, I lived with a woman for 6 years but we broke up due to my alcoholism. I eventually wound up going to two rehabs and I'm proud to say that I haven't had a drink in 27 years!😉☺I'm 65 and in terrific shape due to my exercise regimen. I am actively pursuing my interests and I've been retired from NYC School Safety for two years. I learned how to cook and do my laundry when I was 20, so I am quite content being a bachelor because relationships today are far too stressful! 🙄🤕

Honestly it depends on the situation and the type of trauma that people have experienced in the past. Many things that have happened to people in the past still affect them daily to no fault of their own. People don't choose to be abused as children, neglected by parents, shot at, put in jail for a crime that they didn't do, etc. All of those things can affect a person for life if they never received any type of help. That's just my opinion though but I respect what you said. For the ones that were able to move on from their past they are truly fortunate.

As an adult now who was inappropriately put into Special Education as a child and pushed to graduate high school prematurely, I want to encourage anyone else like me to not quit. While it will be extremely hard catching up to others, adversity builds incredible character and character goes further than you think. Use your story to inspire others and get emergency and need based financial aid through your story. It’s a horrible position to be put in, and it’s not your fault, but how your life turns out is in your hands and you still can find success. DO NOT hold the idea that you are slow or retarded in your mind for one second and prove those thoughts wrong, because like any muscle in the mind - the brain grows stronger under stress. Push yourself and don’t quit. You’ll find yourself in rooms wondering how you even got there! God bless!

My mind is clearer, skin is beautiful and I am not under the brainwashing of having meat for protein!! My fruits and vegetables have healed whatever I had or may have been experiencing. I tried to get my family more healthy but they continue to ignore me. They have all these diseases(COPD,Diabetes etc). No ego here because I would love 💕 my family to heal and change their diets. When we vote, we are not just voting for president. We are voting for all of those seats in Congress. Seats that will be held for 40+ years by one person. What your children endure and the rights they have will be affected by this election. We are too smart to be this dumb.
At the very least, you want a system that facilitates the growth of the black community to be in place so that as we continue to evolve and become a more dominant group, that growth is not significantly stifled and future generations are not starting from scratch. That’s the least that we can do.
