PippenFTS, I don't understand why all that neglect for Luxembourg? There was a Luxembourgish (and not "Luxembourgian") team working also on the project for Luxembourg. So why not mentioning the name of our country in the title of the video? Why showing the City of Luxembourg, along with the country in the project logo and pronouncing our country's name multiple times, only not to include it in your video title? Plus, some of the informations your shared were wrong: - "place di armas" is actually called "Prëss d'Ärem", - The fire was in 1555, so in the XVIth century not in the XVth century, - We aren't called "Luxembourgians" but "Luxembourgers" - Luxembourg hasn't been judged as the "greatest fortress in the world", it was the CITY that was the fortress, NOT the COUNTRY. There is a big difference between the two. - The Fortress of Gibraltar was not even close to the size of the Fortress of Luxembourg. However Gibraltar became a very strategic location due to its geographical situation as well as its Fortress on top. Same was for the case of Luxembourg, it was well defended and definitely well positioned too. - "After Napoleon [...] they gave it to Prussia. No Luxembourg wasn't given to Prussia, actually Prussia wasn't even a country itself, but rather a confederation of semi-independent German states. Not until the German unification in 1871 at least, which Luxembourg wasn't part of. However Luxembourg was indeed promised to Wilhelm I by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, which's primary goal was to redistribute the former conquered territories by Napoleon during the First French Empire (also called the Premier Empire). So even there, you got it wrong. You literally got everything wrong about our country, do not ever talk about our country again. Americans are always the same, uncultured and uninformed.

It may be a good idea to redo your script for this video and do your own research. This video is riddled with mispronunciations and faulty information. Just as a couple of examples: Utrecht isn’t the capital of the Netherlands, that’s Amsterdam and I’m pretty sure the Atomium in Brussels wasn’t originally built to be “sciency” but for the world’s fair and to celebrate the atomic age. I just want your videos to improve because the visuals are stunning but the voice overs are like someone relayed this information to you and you just blindly go along with it.
The reason why so many fortesses are star shaped is because it provides better protection against cannon fire as the sloping walls distribute the impact of the cannon balls on a bigger surface area as opposed to straight walls where the impact of the cannon balls is more concentrated on a smaller area.
Star shaped forts are shaped that way because they have no blind spots along the walls. This was useful when they were constructed in the medieval period in case they were attacked.
The reason old forts are like that are because they are Starforts. Those exist to provide overlapping fields of fire meaning that no matter what side a force is attacking from they will always being taking return fire frim a defending force.
