Incredible, I was thinking to buy a mandolin for the first time, I play guitar almost 40 years. When I came to TH-cam to find something about this song, I found you. I'm living in Nagoya.

Borrowed a mate's mandolin an hour ago. I play in an 80s/90s covers band and do some REM songs already. Straight onto TH-cam and found you sir. I already know the parts now and that's needed now is practice and more practice. Liked, subscribed and off to check out some of the other videos 🙂

I wish I would have discovered you long ago. Soon as my money gets right I will send you some I promise. Still waiting on the sultan's. I know you can play it. I also like the way you move your arm down on those open strings.

@@RockPopMandolin you play so smooth and effortlessly. I know you can play it if anyone can. The original chords too. Can't wait to hear it. Have learned more the last few hours then in probably My whole life. The way you teach is easy to follow. Already have 3 songs down pretty good. One question why do you not use your pinky on e sting when you hit An?

    • @RockPopMandolin

@@gregadams6055 Thanks. Sometimes it’s only necessary to play the three lower strings on a chord.

Mike, been playing this one for a few years after learning it from your first tutorial. All of your tutorials are great! Thank you for doing this. Wondering if you're familiar with John Wyatt's Cry Love which has his mandolin player up front throughout the whole song. I can't get the solo - hoping you'll knock it out for us?

Yeah ! Great , video very clear instructions , I've be playing guitar for long but thinking of buying a Mandolin have you ever covered ( When I’m Dead And Gone McGuinness Flint ) as I've seen a few covers on TH-cam , but most leave link riffs between the chords and it would nice to see it played right.
    thanks
