    For those who don't have a 6 series at hand, a nice future video would be a direct comparison between a 7 Series and a 6 Series with 2022 firmware. Both TH-cam reviews and the Garmin feature page refer to the 6 Series when it was launched, not today, and some of the 7 Series features (such as changing settings live on the phone) look like they could be coming to the 6 as well...

    I love my titanium garmin fenix 7 that comes with leather strap. I use the leather strap most of the day, swap it for sports related. Got a lot of compliments on the luxury watch looks of the fenix 7 with the leather strap. The GPS +multiband feature is also what I need as my jogging track area got a low GPS accuracy, it was a mess when I still using apple watch & samsung watch. However, the display could be more vibrant, and sharp. Most of the analog watch face was so bad and pixelated, its hard to look at for a smartwatch at this pricepoint.

    I have the Phoenix 6x Pro. The feature that would have made it super awesome is the touch screen and real time settings adjustment through phone app. I'm a runner, occasional hiking and biking. You don't know how many times I messed up my training session by fumbling up the buttons. I would pause run so I could look at stats and view map but would somehow reset current session when attempting to get going again. It didn't happen all the time, but at least one session a week.
    I would like to see the ability to have more than 4 data fields on the watches screen during a run. My favorite is to be able to see Pace/ distance/ Remaining Distance/ HR/ estimated running time to goal/ and count down timer for a set distance.
    7X PRO SOLAR looks really nice.

    Hi Desfit, Really appreciate your youtube very much, so happy to see the fenix 7 information share so quickly, one question regarding the fenix 7, does this new one support Chinese, for notification as a example? In the last, we have to purchase them from Asia so the Chinese character are naturally supported.

    Great review- Today I upgraded from 6pro to 7 sapphire solar.
    It's so light and amazing.
    I should have gone with the 7x coz of the tourch. May be with the next upgraded.
    Garmin 6 I used for 4 Days hike with the topo50 map on and it lasted till the last day.
    Hope 7 solar can stay for 5 to 6 day hike.

    Hi Des, thanks for great review of Fenix 7X. You mentioned some time ago in Jaybird Vista 2 review that you are using it privately. I'm using my Vista 2 with Fenix 6X sapphire after some issues with BT dissconnections - luckily solved. Do you know how it looks in case of Fenix 7 and Vista 2?

    Great review! I ordered my Felix 7 sapphire solar today. Garmin website says 5-8 weeks before shipping. Hoping for sooner. Once I receive it I’m guessing that you’ll have an in-depth video on set up.

    I just want my running, o2 and heart rate monitored precisely. I really like the stamina feature and that’s really why I’m considering upgrading. I don’t ski or sky dive etc. I own Fenix 5x and have been very happy with it until i noticed it isn’t calibrating as accurately or quickly as it used to. What version of the fenix 7 is best for me?
    Ps I don’t like touch screens or small watch faces.

    Hey great content, is it possible for you to review fenix 7 vs Amazfit Trex 2? considering the price gap it might be worth considering the Trex over the fenix only if the sensors accuracy are similar. Would be great if you could do that review for us

    The 7x model is my favorite I only thought they made a 7s but I didn't know they made a 7X everything's big about it that's what I like big

  • @davidmaskew
    @davidmaskew ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, I'm a bit late on this but I'm wondering if the 7x is better for map visibility. I'm considering one now as they seem to be reduced in price, maybe a new model is coming out? I'm not bothered about the latest model I just want something more up to date features and battery than my 735 and maps just in case. I'm mostly MTB and hiking. I have quite small wrists so I was thinking of getting a 7 solar as it would be similar in size to 735 but 7x seems a bit more useful for bike packing/camping etc. Is the 7x worth the bit extra if you can?

    Great video, Des. What I'm most excited about with the release of the Fenix 7, and even the Venu 2 Plus, is that the Fenix 6 and Venu 2 might come down in price now. MIGHT LOL

    • @DesFit
      @DesFit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fenix 6es have been on some major sales back in December - I'd think that they'll likely be discounted from full price now that these are out.

  • @tylermitchell2799

    As a Fenix 6s owner, can't justify the upgrade. I already only wear to workout and wear the apple watch all day. shipping this one, but looks cool.
